Lovely little place, pastries were great! Only downside was the reusable cups policy, kind of inconvenient especially since I was just down for the day. I do appreciate the sustainable efforts, but it might be helpful to have takeaway cups available for visitors who aren’t local 😊

Delicious n' fresh baked sweets, high quality bread and a Mocha that'll knock your socks off! (Recommend the mocha with melted dark chocolate and milk of your choice) Beautiful café/bakery – very impressed, highly recommend

The most delicious little bakery! We got there just before 10am and the selection was incredible. I had an almond pain au chocolat which was divine! Coffee and tea was great, and the staff were friendly. They have no seating inside as such, but stools and benches out the front - and brought them in when we were there because of the rain! Would definitely return and recommend.

Lovely little café with a great selection of pastries. The customer service was excellent, friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everything we tried was delicious, and the coffee was really good as well. You can tell they care about quality and the overall experience. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.

29/05/2026: Went for an evening meal. Food was average. Service was transactional with serving staff not engaging or particularly interested in their customers. It may help if a singular member of staff were allocated to a certain set of tables to try to create some connection. We got a different person at each stage of the meal. We didn't leave a tip...
24/05/2026: We stayed at Jim Edwards for two nights while in Kinsale. Convenient location right in the center of town. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed, simple furnishings. Fan provided (or open the window!) it can get warm. Radiator heat in the room and bathroom. Door a bit squeaky on open and close. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out was easy. Great option for central location to explore what Kinsale has to offer.

The Flying Poet Aviation Café - Coffee, Food, and Wine

10/07/2026: The scones were the best I've ever tasted. Perfect crust, not too moist, not too dry, add the accompanying jam and spread and it's fantastic. Wish I could go there everyday.
04/07/2026: Beautiful cafe. It was a shame the flying poet flew away.
