I have been dining here for many years and have never had an unsatisfactory meal. Its a small unpretentious restaurant on a busy street, but definitely worth a visit. You can also get food to go.

Outstanding experience at Cobra Tandoori in Kinsale!! We are visiting from Texas and have a love of Indian food. Chicken Tikka was great. Saag Paneer was THE BEST we have ever had. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and... Playlist right out of 1985's greatest pop hits. Awesome time 👌

We dined here as a family of 4, with children with autism and physical disability. The staff were accommodating and kind. The food was absolutely beautiful. We ate so much!! Great menu, lots of flavour and reasonably priced. The lamb was so tender, and the chicken pakoras were class. Well worth a visit.

We came into Kinsale on a Tuesday, apparently not much is open. This was right beside the place we were staying. I had the Chicken Rogan Josh, oh my was it ever flavorful. If you put it with the garlic naan, amazing. The serving size was perfect, for me. The chicken pieces were tender and bite size. The tables had white coverings, very classy. The waiter was attentive, the food arrived fairly quickly. We were the second 2 people there. When we went to leave he held the door for us, very much a gentleman. The room is small, but so many buildings have to be due to the age they were built. They blend their own spices so you will get a unique flavor. What I had wasn't spicy. I'm sure you could spice to whatever level your taste buds prefer.

Really enjoyed our evening, it was a quiet night. Service was excellent and the food great. It was a group of 4 and we all had starters and main, great portions. We were celebrating two people's birthdays and we've been invited to a complimentary chocolate cake and selection of teas. Brilliant value for the money as well, will recommend and come back. Thank you!

Blue Haven Restaurant

25/08/2026: One of the best lunches we have ever had anywhere in the world! Every single dish we ordered was spectacular. The seafood chowder and chicken tikka are phenomenal!! The service was very friendly but on the slower side so I don’t recommend this place if you’re in a rush. But otherwise it is a must go!
14/08/2026: My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at The Blue Haven’s weekly Indian Pop-Up Thursday. Each week, the chef creates a tasting menu showcasing a different region of India, and last night’s menu took us to West Bengal and Kolkata. Highlights included the Kolkata chicken drumstick biryani, rich chicken kosha, fish kalia and chingri macher bora, followed by a lovely moong daler payesh for dessert. Everything was full of flavour, wonderfully varied and very filling—easily some of the tastiest Indian food we’ve had in Ireland. The service was excellent too: attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, with the team kindly talking us through every dish. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a memorable Indian meal in Kinsale. It has already become a Thursday-night fixture in our house!
