01/11/2025: Small menu with top quality ingredients prepared with exceptional attention to detail. Had the Rib-eye, some of the best I’ve had. Solid wine list and an educated staff to help you make a good choice.

29/11/2025: Unfortunately the attitude of the staff here was very poor when a group of us visited for drinks and food. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them both at the bar and the food truck. Had one drink, ate our food and left. Not impressed.

28/10/2025: No fault to name, despite being usually busy. Food was excellent (Seafood lovers- YES!!) It can only be fresh in Ballycotton for sure!!!! Newly created outdoors area is a real bonus. Plenty of seating and tables for family or small groups meeting up. Parking a short distance away on street! Beautiful walk to the pier and back, to create an appetite is a very good idea too. Usually music in the Bar.

20/12/2025: Went for drinks and to listen to the music. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic a lovely ambience. Sadly the drinks tasted of cheap alcohol and despite being served in silver goblets with pieces of cold crystal (instead of ice) all extremely pretty and artistic, even my second choice of cocktail tasted as vile as the first! It tasted like petrol or something chemical, all the additional flavours couldn’t disguise it and I couldn’t drink it. At £15 I was not happy about that. I mentioned to the waitress and half expected a decent gesture of taking it off of the bill but no. I suggest you stick to a bottle of wine at least you’ll know what you’re getting. A shame really because everything else was great. Please get the basics right and don’t cut corners on booze.

25/12/2025: We stopped in after the Middleton Experience and these ladies were so welcoming and had amazing food! I got the assorted meat plate which was amazing and the ribs were great! They offered burgers, soups and salads that were all great and filling!

05/12/2025: Amazing oysters, the sole was out of this world good and the smoked potatoes were just the cherry on the top. I was so thankful they got me the last table in the place!! I'll definitely be back (and will book next time)

24/11/2025: Truly incredible food. We ordered 5 different dishes to share and everything tasted so fresh, flavorful and inventive. We were especially impressed with the veggie-focused dishes, but everything was delicious. The staff was also warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

17/10/2025: Very friendly little cafe with beautiful and good food, especially not to be missed if you go to COBH, but above all what you should not miss eating at this place is the chocolate cake, frankly a killer, honestly I have never eaten such a delicious chocolate cake. Go there, trust me.

There are both sweet and savory vegan options, each beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. A lovely place to relax by the sea — highly recommended!

26/09/2025: We decided to get a takeaway from JCs based on a recommendation from our hosts at cottages for couples where we were staying, and that recommendation did not disappoint! As we walked in the door there was a sizeable queue, which from the get the go tells you there must be quality to explain it. As you order the staff take your name and from that very moment you are talked to by name and it gives a very personable feel and makes you feel wanted as a customer. Onto the main event though, the food. We got a catch of the day, chips and battered sausages and they were faultless. The fish melted in your mouth, the batter was crispy and crunchy but without being too thick it was just right, the fish was beautifully fresh and flavourful. The sausages were well seasoned and substantial with the same top quality batter to go with them. Lastly the fresh cut chips were the perfect combination of crispy outer with perfectly fluffy insides and the delicious small crispy bits throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend JCs to anyone passing through Skibereen.
