13/08/2026: This is a lovely place in a lovely town, we felt like we were at home!

09/08/2026: It looks small from the outside, but there is a larger outdoor space inside. I went around 9 PM on Saturday and missed the performance, but it was very crowded. Everyone seemed to be locals, and the atmosphere was friendly, with everyone knowing each other. I had Murphy's and Beamish, and both were appealing for their rich foam. The restrooms were also quite clean.

23/07/2026: I have no complaints about the talbot hotel in midtown. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious especially with us having a toddler with us the only 1 downfall was we were looking forward to the swimming pool but the temperature of the water was freezing my toddler was shivering with the cold in the water and spend all of 3/4 minutes in the pool. But over all we enjoyed our first family holiday in the hotel.

16/07/2026: Very easy to book . From the time we arrived to book in , the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable, spotlessly clean . It was our anniversary and the staff arranged chocolates in the room which was a lovely touch of kindness. The breakfast was delicious, a great range . We definitely will be back again.

10/06/2026: Room are beautiful; but its the staff that make it the most loveliest place to stay. So welcoming and down to earth, they couldn't have been nicer, well done 👏. Food was beautiful, just such a lovely atmosphere, loved The Mills Inn, one of the best places to stay.

24/08/2026: A small place with delicious fish and chips. The clientele is mostly local and the service is friendly. We each had a large cod and were very hungry, which was more than enough. They don't sell alcoholic beer, but they do have Sprite. Highly recommended.

11/08/2026: Nice little café right by the waterfront in Cobh. We sat outside, had our coffee and just enjoyed watching all the tourists walking around. Really nice atmosphere. The coffee was good and the pastries were even better. We tried the Danish Special with toffee custard and the chocolate bun filled with chocolate. Both were really tasty. The service was great too. The girl working there was on her own and the café was quite busy, but she was doing her best to look after everyone. A nice place to stop for coffee and something sweet when you’re in Cobh.

08/07/2026: What do I need to say about this place that hasn't already been said? I keep coming back any time I'm in the area and it never disappoints. Lovely staff, great music, brilliant atmosphere, always fun.

28/06/2026: Very disappointing Saturday evening meal. The seafood special was tiny, poorly presented and lacked flavour. The battered fish and chips were equally disappointing – heavy, bland batter, tasteless fish and a dried-up sliver of lemon. Service was no better. After waiting around 10 minutes to order in a quiet bar, I was told to “slow down” while ordering and warned the kitchen “might be closed.” Later when requesting an additional side. Overall, poor food, poor service and poor value. Based on our experience, the quality simply didn’t match the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return.

22/08/2026: fantastic hidden basement with live jazz, good atmosphere, good food and cocktails, and very good service. The cover charge, however, is not a minimum spend, but actually an entrance ticket to the venue that you pay with your final bill.

12/08/2026: Never getting food there again... people ordering the same thing after us got served faster than us and we got skimmed on our portions, our boxes were half empty compared to all the others we saw while waiting that were not even closing that's how packed they were. Don't ever go there, the worst fish and chips ever had.
