The best restaurants in Cork

17/02/2025: My first fish and chips in London! Everything was perfect. The portion is quite large and I ordered too much. Highly recommended:)

01/03/2025: We have been to Salinas before and always left happy. However, today we did not have the same experience. There were 3 tables in the restaurant and yet we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order, the same issue re-emerged when we were finished our starters. My partner’s food was lovely but I cannot say the same for mine. I had asked the waitress if the spicy prawn tagliatelle (a beautiful dish that was on the menu last time we were in Salinas) was still available, to which she said that yes it was, it was this weekend’s special. The specials were not available to us so I could not cross check. I was delighted! The waitress did say that it was not pasta but it was something else, knowing Salinas does Arabic food I just expected the something else to be an Arabic carb or something of the sort, as long as I had my spicy sauce I was happy. The dish came and it was a bowl of a not spicy, cream sauce and about 10-13 over cooked prawns. There was a bit of Paprika on it but there was no spice for a spicy dish. We were in a rush so I didn’t send it back (I understand that’s where I lie at fault) but I paid €18.95 for a bowl with a cream sauce, garlic bread and prawns. I love prawns and so get them out whenever and wherever possible but never in my life have I paid such prices for what I got!!! This is not to deter anyone from Salinas, it is a fantastic spot in Midleton but just something to be mindful of!

07/01/2025: Very nice Irish pub with his local decor, the band playing was such a success, we loved the atmosphere. The service was great and the fire wood perfect for the cold weather, it makes you feel cozy like home.

21/03/2025: My partner and myself had the pleasure of dining here last Sunday. It was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. The rump of lamp was like cutting into a fillet steak. Perfection.🥰

19/03/2025: Our hotel did not recommend getting a reservation. And we went and there were not many people there at the time that we arrived, but the staff again seemed frustrated that we did not have a reservation. The portions on most meals were very nice. I had a steak that was magnificent. Some people got the shrimp and were disappointed.

12/03/2025: Beautiful quiet location. Multiple courses, it is quiet pricy but it is more about the experience. All dishes were prepared perfectly and presented well. The staff were all courteous and very attentive which should be commended.

20/02/2025: What a beautiful hotel! I Had the 5 course dinner here the other night . Setting is beautiful. Food was delicious . Something for the foodies and something for the non foodies. As for the dessert trolley it was the highlight. Jokingly I asked for a little of everything but they do that anyway if asked for. All were outstanding .

15/02/2025: Having recently moved to West Cork, we’re exploring our new surroundings. We visited The Algiers on a Friday afternoon in February. Our food arrived quickly, and it was hands-down the best Mexican food we have ever had in Ireland. The ingredients were fresh, flavourful, the dishes boasted well balanced flavours and just the right amount of spice. We look forward to returning very soon to try more items off their menu. The cocktails look amazing too, and the bar amazingly well stocked with a very large variety of options. What a gem!

08/03/2025: Loved it. My child was crying the whole time, and the staff were really considerate. I had to opt for a takeaway. I will surely "eat in" next time when I am in Youghal.

15/02/2025: I was there for a 50th birthday party, but I have had many a meal there before, and was allways happy with the food I got, good wholesome food, at a good price.

08/02/2025: Went here for dinner with my boyfriend yesterday. The staff were warm and welcoming, as was the homey vibe in the restaurant, I believe they also have accommodation there. Bandon is a lovely area and I’d love to come back there for Copper Grove

09/02/2025: This hotel is really nice. All the staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the stay. I had dinner in the restaurant and the seafood chowder was amazing. The free breakfast was also very good.

06/03/2025: Had a fantastic meal here on Thursday 27th February. We had just arrived to Kinsale after a long drive and we walked in on spec, without a booking (not recommended) even though it was very busy the gentleman waiter accommodated us. We didn’t catch his name but was wearing glasses and had very cool tattoos (if you are reading this, thank you again) The meal itself was beautiful and served to perfection. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Really nice atmosphere and vibe in the restaurant too. A lovely place to sit and have a great meal. This was our first meal on our first night in Kinsale and it really set the tone for a great holiday. Thank you.

03/01/2025: Absolutley fantastic. Best steak you will ever have. Service is friendly and efficient. Very creative starters and good wine selection. Can't go wrong here.
