24/05/2023: We had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea in Mrs. White tea room. Wonderful experience!

24/05/2023: Ok- you probably know that this place is much more expensive than most other places you could stay. The grounds are extensive and they must need alot of staff. Our room was very tasteful and the staff was very very good. The dinner I had in the nicest restaurant was only ok- I am a vegetarian and there weren't very exciting choices, and this is why I gave it 4 stars. However, my friend, who had a steak, almost cried when she ate it, it was so good. The breakfast was Superb. Looking out over the lake and enjoying breakfast was very memorable.

19/05/2023: My work colleagues and I went to Henry's Bistro to celebrate success after hitting our quarterly targets and what a treat it was. Not one bit of food was left on any of the plates after every single course, the wine was so tasteful, the service was excellent which is so hard to come by nowadays. The prices are very reasonable too. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Henry's Bistro for any occasion, you won't be disappointed.

14/05/2023: Lovely location, dog friendly and great staff. The open terrace is a great spot for a bit of grub with views of the falls. Ordered the vegan dish and the toasted special, no long wait, food was delicious, staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area/ visiting the area.

07/05/2023: We had Sunday lunch here, the food was fantastic, the service was fast and very friendly waiting staff. Well worth trying it out. We'll definitely be back for more.

16/05/2023: We really enjoyed our meal but unfortunately the length of the meal was too long. We actually prefer longer meals that aren't rushed but this was 2.5 hours long and, honestly, felt longer and there were long breaks in between each course (it felt more like we were having a tasting menu experience vs. a three course meal). We arrived around the same exact time as several other couples (really the only table who had arrived well before us was a large group and another couple who was finishing their meal) but the timing for everyone's meals seemed to be very off from one another. We all seemed to get the three course meal option yet some people were gone in 1.5 hours (one couple who arrived after us had left by the time we received our main course) while we were there for 2.5 hours. As I wasn't able to drink that night, my husband ordered glasses of wine but would have ordered a bottle had we known the service would be so slow. Again, the meal itself was delicious but the slow service really lessened the experience. At the end, when given the bill, we were told that they did not include a service charge so if we wanted to tip, we should do that on top of the meal. Although I appreciate them identifying this, I think it should be written on the bill not said aloud to us, as this felt rather tacky. Good meal but timing was quite off.

13/04/2023: Took a trip down here last week. It was well worth it. Excellent 3 course menu with a couple of surprises in there too. The food was superb and the service top notch too. Will be back in the summer!

25/05/2023: This is a beautiful resturant in a charming, quaint village. The resturant itself was peaceful with a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the portion size was large so I've no complaint in that area. The food came out quick too which is a bonus. Even through the staff weren't rude, they could do with smiling a little more. Still a 5 star experience.

18/05/2023: Good wholesome food in one of the few open establishments in town. Plenty of passing traffic doing likewise to us - having a very late lunch early dinner. The ham is good and the portions are large. Good find in a slow town

20/02/2023: Legitimately the best meal we had in this country as of yet. The staff were so helpful with suggesting the most well-known menu items and flying us into some specials, while also having a great conversation and throwing a bit of sass our way. Make a reservation and don’t miss this place! The mussels were to die for and the sticky toffee pudding was better than I could have imagined!

25/05/2023: wow! after walking the cliffs, we decided to stop here. amazing food and wonderful staff! everything was delicious and came out at the perfect time. my husband and i ordered the soup of the day (it was cauliflower and parsnip), Atlantic chowder, and fish and chips, all to share. the only thing i will tell others is that there are a bit of small flies that can gather around, but they came our way just as we were leaving, but that is the price you pay eating outside! Other than that, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and the staff was beyond friendly!

24/05/2023: Perfekter Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Alle Gastgeber in Ivy's Cottage sind super nett. Das Essen der Hammer. Ich weiss nicht ob ich schon Mal bessere Fish n Chips hatte. Die Preise sind wirklich angemessen Danke das ihr da seid und mit Spass bei der Arbeit eure Gäste verwöhnt.

24/05/2023: We had lunch at Knox's pub and the food was delicious. We each had the fish and chips and chicken fingers and they were highly enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Definitely recommend going here!
