10/12/2025: I enjoyed the most extraordinary seafood chowder at this authentic seafood restaurant on a recent tour of Ireland! The chowder had clams, scallops, squid and fish in a lovely cream soup. The fish cakes appetizer was excellent also.

22/11/2025: The Restaurant food and service was spectacular. We are visiting from Australian and this is the best meal we have had in Ireland or the UK since we arrived!

27/10/2025: Highly recommend staying here! The location is fantastic - super close to the Cliffs of Moher and close to some lovely pubs and restaurants in the area. The host was also fabulous and very helpful and easy to communicate with. The only feedback we can give is that the bathrooms could maybe do with some renovation.

05/12/2025: A solid four stars. It could be higher, but we often prefer smaller portions and higher quality. However, the food is quite decent and sufficient. We usually order one dish between the two of us. This allows us to try a wider variety of dishes. It's quite possible to have a decent meal. Sometimes the place gets too crowded for a small one. A full bus arrived, and everyone burst into the place cheerfully and boisterously. The space became cramped. There's a good restaurant nearby. It's more upscale, has more seating, and the cuisine is top-notch, but it's definitely more expensive. A portion of fish or meat can cost up to 50 euros. The choice is yours. 28/10/2025: We had a lovely meal here when visiting for the weekend. The service was great. Waitress and host Irene was very friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely. Really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was nice. They had a man hired to play piano which was a nice touch.

24/12/2025: I took my wife here for an afternoon stroll on Friday 20/12/24. It was pretty busy with Santa visits for little ones and their parents but the whole vibe was very pleasant. We had a very reasonably priced bite to eat, the staff were friendly and chatty, the food was just fine. Entry to the park was a little shy of €40 for two adults. At first I thought this was a little pricey but by the end it was well worth it. We didn’t go to the castle. Seen it before. Very nice. We walked around the folk park. The lights and decorations were lovely. It was still light out so I’d say they were wonderful in the dark. We walked around the typical parts then went off around the rest. It was lovely. The deer were fantastic with huge antlers, we met a couple of very friendly donkeys and learned from a very helpful guide that both the HB house and the church were transported there from Dublin and Tipperary respectively and rebuilt. The house is beautiful in my opinion but I like that older style. Overall a lovely, relaxing and peaceful stroll in a very well maintained park. I would highly recommend a visit.

29/11/2025: Classic old world Irish breakfast place. Somewhat small and cramped but that is remedied by the friendliness of the customers at the other tables. Delicious breakfast served at breakneck speed by smiling, jovial young ladies. Highly recommend!

05/11/2025: We were there on holiday. We had a salami pizza and tortillas with dips, all topped with melted cheese. The tortillas were nice and warm. There were several layers of cheese between the tortillas, and on top were three different dips, two of each in generous portions. It was very plentiful. The salami pizza was well-topped, and the size was excellent for the price. All in all, we were very satisfied.

09/11/2025: A fabulous find for two new expats. Great food, an entertaining and welcoming publican with a great sense of humor, and a warm cozy ambience (thank you for not playing 1980s American music). We’ll be back!!

03/11/2025: We visited Cogan's with a party of 8 and got seated immediately though it was relatively busy at the time. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, good choices and plenty of it. The slight downside was the price of the ciders which was excessive unfortunately but didn't spoil our enjoyment of the fine cuisine.

29/11/2025: The turkey Sunday roast is a bit disappointing as it’s quite bland. However, the chicken vol-au-vent is really good, and the cocktails are amazing! You definitely need to book in advance, otherwise, expect to wait around 30 minutes on a Sunday.

01/10/2025: What a wee gem! Fabulous Irish breakfast, (and the rest) with friendly staff, that you just know when you see them are going to deliver real home cooking like mother used to make. And then there is their bakery! Wow! This is worthy of travelling to. Amazing range of luxurious super sized home made treats that makes it very difficult to pick just one favourite. Definitely heading back here every year now on trips to Clare. Well done ladies fabulous to see a business that have 110% nailed what they do!
