19/09/2025: Visiting from out of town and this place was SO GOOD. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was unbelievable. My boyfriend had the chicken Kiev. Great portion size. Service was also lovely and the atmosphere was perfect.

09/10/2025: After a long days travel from Dublin this was just what I needed. The waitress was top notch when I asked about the different beers and I tried a local IPA. Service was also superfast and the food came in almost as quick.

23/10/2025: This place is so cool! Felt like I was stepping back in time. Not only is it a very old bar but its cool name is the cherry on top. I got a beer within 2 minutes of walking in at one of the multiple they had on the first floor. Decided I was hungry and wanted a seafood chowder to take away. They unfortunately do not have take away containers for soup, giving it to me in a coffee cup container. That wasn’t really an issue, I’m easy going. What was an issue, they gave my cousin 4 pieces of brown bread and didn’t give me any! I had to ask for the bread, again not a problem to ask but I wanted 4 pieces! Why was he so special! His wife said it’s because he’s cute but idk I think I got the looks not him! The soup is something I’m on the hunt for. Need the best soup. No this was not it. It was good and it made me realize I like mussels but it wasn’t a contender for best soup.

23/09/2025: The place was absolutely great ! The room was super clean, pretty with all the amenities you could expect. But what was the best was the person that welcomed us with great tips about the area and made us save about 30€ at the Cliff of Mohers & have an awesome time there with barely anyone around. It was magical and worthed waking up a bit early. Thanks a millions ! Hope we'll come back and try the food !

19/09/2025: We recently returned for our second visit this year. First time was for the location, and outstanding accommodation. But this time we just stayed to have dinner. Absolutely FLAWLESS!! Our only fault (if it could be a fault?l is that we were so full after two outstanding courses, we had no room for dessert. A week later, I'm getting a terrible dose of "FOMO" (Fear of Missing Out). A huge thank you to Kieran and your excellent staff, for looking after us so well. See you soon.

08/09/2025: A genuine Irish pub that's very popular with locals, so it's not too touristy. We had a delicious meal (one curry, one bangers and mesh). The service was super friendly!

20/09/2025: Absolutely incredible meal, the portions were enormous as well. The staff were so friendly and kind. The whole place had a homey feel, the fireplace was top notch!

19/09/2025: Stumbled in because a recommended bar was packed full, best mistake ever! Staff was amazing, so friendly and kind, and the food was AMAZING! My dad and I both got the mussels as a starter and fish and chips for main and it was incredible, so flaky and a huge portion! Beer and cider selection was awesome too :)

05/10/2025: terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!! We waited 60 minutes for Turkish eggs. After the customers who came later at the next table got hamburgers, we left without eating.

05/10/2025: The waiter was very slow. We ordered coffee, 10 minutes later he came back saying he forgot what kind of coffee we wanted. He told us our food would take 20 minutes to prepare. It took an hour! He didn't even apologize. I don't recommend.

09/09/2025: We loved all of Ireland but staying with Marion, Frank and Bertie at Sheedys was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Their attention to detail, helpful advice, WONDERFUL food and warm hospitality left us only wanting one for one thing: MORE TIME! We will definitely make more time next trip!

14/10/2025: Had food tonight and it was lovely came out for my birthday because one September were playing, myself and my partner were drinking coors light had 3 pints ordered the 4th pint for us got 2 flat pints called back the bar man and asked him to replace them as they were dead seen him put a head on them so called him back again to replace them to see him do the same thing again ,so called another bar man and told him the 2 pints of coors where dead no gas in then to see him do the very same thing as his colleague before him do ,so asked him why did he put a head on a dead pint his answer was why are you getting smart with me ,I asked him to give me 2 pints of Heineken instead and all i got back was abuse ,never will i eat of drink there again bad bar staff that haven't a clue about pulling a pint so rude when confronted spoiled my night and my birthday.

01/10/2025: What a wee gem! Fabulous Irish breakfast, (and the rest) with friendly staff, that you just know when you see them are going to deliver real home cooking like mother used to make. And then there is their bakery! Wow! This is worthy of travelling to. Amazing range of luxurious super sized home made treats that makes it very difficult to pick just one favourite. Definitely heading back here every year now on trips to Clare. Well done ladies fabulous to see a business that have 110% nailed what they do!
