10/09/2026: Stopped for a Pint. Cool pub near Cliffs. Friendly young lady served is our 🍺 and we enjoyed a break from travels back.

08/09/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped for a bite to eat and a beer. We were seated quickly and received a very warm welcome; the service was fast despite the crowd, and the servers were very pleasant. The food we ordered was excellent. This place is full of life and joy; we had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

14/09/2026: I’d give 5 stars because the food is great. But it’s 3 because it’s a complete nightmare to get them to answer the phone for a takeaway (in fact I still can’t get a call to go through even after verifying the number with them) and it takes too long to go in, order and wait when you’re in a hurry..

09/09/2026: We had a wonderful time there; the welcome was quick and warm. We had the fish appetizer, fish and chips, and chicken kyiv! It was so delicious and the portions were generous! The atmosphere was cozy.

26/09/2026: This was a neat stop to take for the day. The people working here were amazing they helped with any question you had and the blacksmith that was on shift was funny and very informative about the trade.

24/09/2026: A stunning place not to be missed if you're near the Cliffs. Strolling through the village streets takes you back in time; the actors are excellent. You can also take a tea break and enjoy delicious cakes.

22/09/2026: Everything was fabulous! Excellent food and good service. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. We tried the duck and chorizo salad, seafood chowder, goat cheese and onion, fish and chips, and leg of lamb. Every dish was prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. We will be back again the next time we have something to celebrate.

22/09/2026: The food served here is incredibly tasty, especially the jumbo prawns are sublime 👌 the service is very attentive and super friendly. The dark Irish bread served with delicious butter is a delicacy in itself.

21/09/2026: Loved this restaurant! We ordered the wings, crab claws, and mixed oysters and seasonal veggies. Portions were perfect, and everything was very flavorful. Highly recommend all the items especially the natural oysters and crab claws. Service was great too. Thank you for this lovely meal ❤️

29/09/2026: Cracking place to eat and drink or just drink! We had a 10 day holiday in Lahinch and we tried all the different places and this was our favourite! It’s busy and you may have to wait for a table but it’s worth it! The staff are brilliant, the service is fantastic! If you don’t visit cornerstone then you’ve missed what I think is the best pint of Guinness in Lahinch!

09/10/2026: My family and I stopped here to order lunch, we were on a Coach tour. The lovely girls packaged our orders up so we could carry out, bring short for time. My olive, sun dried tomato and feta toastie was absolutely fantastic!! So delicious, Everything we ordered was tasty and satisfying. 16/09/2026: Easily the best food we’d had in all of Ireland! The decor was beautiful and stayed true to the history of the building which was written on a place card on the table. The lamb stew was out of this world and my husband loved his steak. We were lucky with the dessert of the day - lemon cheesecake with whipped cream and an ice cream scoop! It was a bit loud in there, but we came in at prime dinner time and there was live music playing which we specifically came for so no complaints there. The servers were friendly but hard to get ahold of, but again, it was peak hours and the place was packed so I can’t fault them at all. Highly recommend this place! It’s worth its price for sure!

31/07/2026: This place is an absolute gem! We stayed in one of the 2-bed apartments, which was spacious and well-equipped. We’re staying for three nights for a nearby family wedding, but I had to post this early. On our first night, we decided to have a quiet evening in and eat at the restaurant. The dining experience was sensational—fine dining featuring local produce, accompanied by wonderful, relaxed yet attentive service from start to finish. (The photos of the food speak for themselves, and I can assure you the taste exceeded the presentation!) The summer salad was genuinely the best salad I’ve ever eaten. Thank you to the whole team. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend a visit to Oar Restaurant & Rooms to anyone in the area or anyone who wants a treat. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere hummed with quiet elegance, the kind that doesn’t need to announce itself. Then came the venison, and truly, it deserves its own standing ovation. Presented with theatrical grace, it stood poised like a bride beneath a chuppah, a culinary ceremony in full swing. Each bite was rich, tender, and deeply expressive of the land, as though the surrounding hills had whispered their secrets directly into the dish. The asparagus risotto followed, glowing with freshness. It arrived adorned with a delicate bouquet of edible flowers, like spring had decided to dress up for dinner. The flavors were vibrant yet comforting, a perfect balance of earthiness and brightness, each forkful unfolding like a small celebration. Service throughout the evening was flawless. Not stiff or overly formal, but warm, intuitive, and genuinely joyful. The kind of service that anticipates your needs before you even realize them yourself. Some restaurants serve great food. This one creates memories that linger long after the plates are cleared.
