04/05/2025: The Monks is in a fabulous location, beside the sea in North Clare. Friendly greeting and brought to our table within minutes. Four of our group had the chowder, it was absolutely delicious and served with lovely brown bread. The mains were a bit disappointing. Two of us ordered the halibut but we were informed it was no longer available. I had pan-fried salmon instead, and I wouldn't have it again. It came on a bed of green! Peas, beans, broccoli accompanied with mashed potatoes. Not at all nice. The other members of the group agreed that the main courses need to step up. We didn't have dessert. As I said the location and chowder fabulous.

23/05/2025: Great night of entertainment. The performers stayed in character and it seemed like we went back in time. The food was hot and plentiful. The mead and wine really got you in the mood for a fun night.

03/05/2025: Stopped in for a late lunch on the way to the Cliffs. Had the special - roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies. Gravy was delicious and the creamy horseradish was amazing! Service was quick and friendly. Thank you for the quick scrumptious meal chased by a tasty pint of Guinness! Grabbed a few orders of chips for the road.

01/05/2025: It looked like a cute place, and the people where very friendly, but the food was tasteless. We had the fish&chips, it had really no taste. Unfortunately also the coke tasted like it had been oopened for a few days. Maybe we had just bad luck.

12/05/2025: Firstly the location is stunning ,the view from the all glass dining area looking out onto the atlantic is beautiful watching the sun set ,our waiter Charlie was able to explain each dish down to the last detail in the most professional manor and make us feel relaxed and excited for what was to come,my friend had a crisp white wine to go with the freshest oysters I have ever had,you could taste the wild atlantic sea in each one ,I had a Japanese beer to go with spicy pork belly with an Asian slaw,the freshness cut through the juicy melt in your mouth fat,we both went for the Turbot which was the largest portion I have had in any restaurant considering the cost of Turbot ,I dont know how they can do it for the price they charge ,it was cooked to perfection, glossy and moist, it came with caper berries that exploded in your mouth with juicy flavour ,the chard,orange,almonds and quinoa complimented the Turbot each in their own way like having four separate dishes but each compilmenting each other.I am hard to please but the location service and most of all the food was one of the best I have ever had ,they allowed us to bring our dog in and after the meal walk around the garden were they grow their own herbs and vegetables ,what an experience at a very resonable price ,10 outa 10

23/02/2025: Cogan' s was recommended by the bar man in O'Loughlins. He was spot on. A warm welcome, good choice on menu. Food was good and priced fairly. We will be back when we visit Co. Clare again

27/04/2025: Noel's restaurant was recommended by our B&B host as an ideal place in Bunratty to celebrate a loved one's birthday and she was right ! It's a dinner we will remember. The owner and the staff are really kind and welcoming, both the food and wine are delicious and visually pleasing.

03/04/2025: Wonderful evening at the manor delicious dinner and selection of breads so tasty. best desserts, service was so smooth it was exceptional. It was the most relaxing evening out in a long time well done to all.

28/02/2025: Comimos aquí dos veces. Una vez en persona y otra con servicio de habitaciones. Primero cenando. El restaurante es absolutamente hermoso. Cada persona que trabaja aquí es profesional, pero también amable y una alegría para hablar. Nos hicieron sentir tan especiales y también como si fuéramos amigos. Como nota complementaria rápida, en el bar, el joven que trabaja allí también es una joya. Dromoland Castle es una suerte tener un personal tan encantador. Para nuestra comida, nos trajeron pan y mantequilla. Se sirve frío. Preferimos el pan caliente, pero el pan frío era lo normal en los restaurantes que visitábamos. Para empezar tuvimos el tartar de atún y la sopa Tom, se nos olvidó todo el nombre. Ambos eran tan buenos. El atún sabía fresco y la sopa estaba caliente y muy bueno. Para la red, pedimos el filete de angus y la olla pollo asado. El filete era tierno y sabroso. El pollo servido no era lo que figuraba en el menú. En el menú no hay menciones de setas o pasta y se enumera como una comida sin gluten. Lo que se sacó fue pollo con pasta y hongos. No dije nada, solo aparté la pasta y los hongos del pollo, comiendo solo la carne. El pollo estaba perfectamente cocinado y era bueno. Para el postre, pedimos el helado de vainilla y sorbete, delicioso y ligero. La noche siguiente pedimos servicio de habitaciones. Intentamos pedir el filete de nuevo, pero nos dijeron que no estaba en el menú. Así que pedimos el tartar de atún (de nuevo) y la costilla corta de angus negro. Los caballeros que trajeron nuestra comida lo preparó tan agradable y de nuevo fueron geniales. El atún estaba tan bueno como la noche anterior. Las costillas cortas estaban tiernas, pero mi marido prefería el filete de la noche anterior, solo su gusto personal. En conjunto, este es un restaurante maravilloso con buena comida y gente encantadora.

My partner loved his crab gnocchi, venison and pecan dessert ✨ Amuse bouche and complimentary sweet treats to top it all off! On top of a lovely rose and chocolates as a Valentine’s Day treat 💘 Thanks so much to Ian, Eric, Lily and the whole team for taking care of us from start to finish! Also absolutely beautiful harp playing 🎼 I loved it and highly recommend for your special occasions

04/05/2025: Lovely atmosphere, warm & welcoming staff. Manager Conor was very informative. Fire in the stove & the wonderful guitar musician really added to our experience. Our mearls were excellent, Seabass mains & homemade lemon posset & tiramisu. Good coffee & lovely french white wine topped off our meals. We will definifsly return to Byrne's.

08/05/2025: This is a lovely cafe restaurant with the best of food and excellent friendly friendly service. One of the many highlights was when the main lady gave me soda bread with our breakfast as I asked about it as customer s beside our table near to us were having it. This cafe makes their own bread and buns and the prices are so reasonable. The food is really well freshly cooked and presented and the friendly staff makes this a place not to be missed. I highly recommend and I'm looking forward to being back again very soon .

19/04/2025: Visiting Quilty for the first time and after a long day driving we wanted something quick and tasty for dinner, we where lucky enough to have passed this bar and restaurant. The food is fantastic, loads of fish served up and the homemade curry was fricken delicious The staff are really lovely and couldn't do enough for you, highly recommend to anyone.
