Henrys Bistro & Wine Bar in Ennis

Lovely staff. Respect for chef.

This was the best steak I’ve ever had. Ribeye med/rare melted in your mouth. My wife had bass and mother had the salmon. All delicious. Fantastic food and service so friendly and helpful.

What a gem of a place! The food was outstanding, fresh, homemade, and full of flavour. Every dish was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. I brought friends from Spain, and they were genuinely impressed by the whole experience. They loved the food, the atmosphere, and the warm hospitality. Excellent menu, excellent quality, and very reasonable prices for the standard of food and service provided. Highly recommended. We'll certainly be returning on our next visit to Ennis.

First class. Perfectly cooked using top ingredients, a well chosen wine list with decent selection by the glass. I had sea bass with a wonderful carrot puree my wife had a melting lamb shank. Its average rating is no accident. Friendly and attentive staff to top it all.

We visited Henry's Bistro the first night of our arrival in Ennis. We listened to some early hours trad music then decided to have dinner. Henry's is highly rated, so we decided to see if we could get in without a reservation on this rainy Thursday. Fortunately, we did. Now, I could carry on about the excellent seafood chowder, wonderful bread or scrumptious apple tart, but my husband and I both delighted in the feather blade beef braised in red wine. This isn't a cut we see in California, and although Google will tell you it is flank steak--it is not. This lovely piece of grass-fed and finished local Hereford is from the upper shoulder and it was amazing. The portions were really generous. We had the fixed price menu with a bottle of wine from a curated wine list. If you're in Ennis and looking for something that's maybe not traditional Irish food but truly exceptional locally raised food, this is the place you want to go.

went for dinner for family birthday food was very good, i had the chorizo and duck salad, very tasty and the pork belly for mains, very nice would eat here again

What a fabulous restaurant. Dropped in on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The food was exceptional. We had Sausage and mash (sausages to rival any I've had... from Tournafulla) and beef blade. Both with mash and the most delicious gravy EVER. Will be back again. Service perfect. And what a price point. Can't recommend enough. Great job.
