The best restaurants in Clare

12/09/2024: My wife and I are on vacation traveling in Ireland and made an unplanned stop here for lunch. We each had Bangers with Mash and red onion gravy which was very good. The serving size was large, the service friendly. We were only sorry we had to pass on having a pint as we were driving.

12/09/2024: Now this is an Irish pub. Great crowd, atmosphere, and brews. Perfect Guinness every time. And the trad music made it complete.

31/07/2024: The Bunratty was certainly a highlight of my trip. The people were dressed in the period had involved us in the show, and the singing was great! They were very helpful with my inability to have dairy and the food was good. I had ribs, chicken, veggies, soup and bread. All were good.

21/06/2024: I signed us up (2) for this optional add on to our tour. I'm so GLAD I did. My friend and I are both professional musicians traveling in Ireland (Harpists and full time musicians and music teachers) and thoroughly enjoyed the madrigal choir, their harmonies and talented blend vocally as well as the violinist and the beautiful harpist, Maeve. I was misty eyed several times during the night-- very much touched by the beauty of the soaring music, and other times doubled over in laughter by the sheer fun of the interactive humor. I just got back to our hotel in Ennis and am writing this review. You may think you are going for the 4 course meal-- but trust me-- it is SO much more. This talented crew will make a difference in your Irish experience. (They will also honor your dietary requests carefully)

30/09/2024: Beautiful afternoon tea at the castle!! The season was held in a stunning room with such character, looking out onto the water. Amazing view. All of the food was beautiful and you could get second helpings to anything you want. Endless helpings of tea! Beautiful smoked salmon on homeade brown soda bread - Devine!! Service was impeccable. Will definitely be back!

29/09/2024: Spent two nights here during our Ireland vacation and were totally pampered. Hawk Walk was a highlight, along with amazing food, service, and scenery.

02/09/2024: Wonderful cafe in centre of Ennis. We visited twice. Both times very busy. Staff efficient and friendly. Had late breakfast on first visit followed by late afternoon meal. Well cooked and hot. A lovely place to eat.

28/09/2024: We were recommended this place by friends. Visited twice in the 3 days we were in Ireland. Squeezed us in on a Friday evening without a booking (would recommend to book) food was great and service is fantastic. Will be visiting again when next back in the area. Worth visiting for sure!

01/10/2024: The roasted nut rissoles were a fantastic combination of nut patties, creamy leeks and flavorful ratatouille. The goat cheese salad with pear was a good combination of flavors as well. The beef bourguignon was a little dry and lacking garlic and other spices. I think it was more like an Irish stew. I’d recommend going with the fish option which I suspect they do exceptionally well.

27/09/2024: A hidden gem for the hungry sightseer. The soup was the best we've ever encountered and the blt's hit the spot.

19/08/2024: Had a lovely meal here, it is a bit pricey but worth it because the food is very good quality, top customer service and atmosphere. Lovely treat and will definitely be back on our next visit to Fanore and Doolin.

09/09/2024: Sorry, but this didn't live up to the reviews for us. While everything looked amazing, the pesto pasta was extremely bland and the little crab on top was very touch to get the meat out of. Service was uncomfortable and we truly felt like we weren't wanted there which was the first and only experience like that in our 2 week trip to Irleand. It wasn't horrible, but definitely not worth the high price.

09/09/2024: We had a drink with accompaniment on the terrace. Perfect for pkg, really great welcome, quiet and pleasant location away from traffic. Address that I recommend to have a drink. And probably more for a meal!!!!
