Dromoland Castle
29/11/2025: This is an incredible spot. Exactly what it should be. Our family’s favorite hotel of the trip. It starts with the friendly people who greet your car and never stops. Falconry and skeet shooting were great.
25/11/2025: We were walking around the castle enjoying the beautiful decorations, but the moment we entered the restaurant the whole experience became even better. From the very first second everything felt special, thanks to the warm, human and highly professional service. Denis, Eric, Lucy, Timy… I could name many more.
The cocktail “The Emperor” was exactly the kind of ending you’d wish for on a perfect night. ✨

29/10/2025: Charming restaurant with delicious food. I was there at the end of July with my mother staying within walking distance of the restaurant, and it was one of the best meals we had during our 5 day trip in Ireland.

The vibe was warm and lively, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was beyond delicious—every single dish was amazing. The live music was top notch and really brought the whole celebration to life. From start to finish, they made our special day unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate!

The Riverside Bistro
21/09/2025: Very nice and cosy place. I ordered BBQ ribs and chips with glass of Merlot wine. Ribs were amazing: well marinated, soft and sweet.
Banoffi desert was not too sweet and good. It was very delicious.

The featherblade just melts in your mouth!
Their steak? Surreal!
And their staff always take such great care of us.
We've been there 3 times and we'll keep coming back!
24/10/2025: The store owner is very friendly. He cooked the chicken I bought from the supermarket in the oven for me. You can come and eat if you pass by here.

11/11/2025: Food is decent - we enjoyed the early bird menu twice and it caters for vegan and vegetarian, although you wont have a selection of options. Service was great both times and price good too if doing early bird !

The menu is manageable. The starters are small.
We had the steak, not so good meat and not grilled well.
And the curry, well-seasoned but with more sauce than substance. The chicken with it was good.
However, and this is why it only gives it two stars, the prices for the food are far too high. €29.70 for the steak and €25.70 for the curry are, in my opinion, completely unreasonable.

27/11/2025: This is a big cold, but they have the best sausage roll in all of Ireland. No greasy, or cheap sausage meat…full of rich flavour and delicious flaky pastry.
The Portuguese Pastel de Nata, straight out of the oven was better than any I have had in Portugal…well at least as good as!
Great coffee as well! Friendly people!

25/11/2025: We celebrated our engagement at the Monks Well recently and the service received from Geraldine was 10/10, the place looks phenomenal. Everyone kept saying how lovely the place is and there was so much food to go around! Adrian and Diane have done a fabulous job of the place!
