15/08/2026: What a gem of a find. The food is just fantastic.
We ate here two nights, between us we sampled the hake, peppered chicken, lamb cutlets, steak and cod..the portions are huge and you get two sides with your main.
The young staff are so friendly and engaging and a shout out to the main man, he's witty and accommodating. Reasonably priced, our spend on night one including starter, main course, dessert and 2 rounds of drinks was e50 a head. Thank you. We hope to see you again.

22/08/2026: I would not recommend this Chinese to anyone I’m form limerick and this Chinese I can’t explain how bad it was we got this Chinese 4 of us and Ebrything from the egg fried rice to the spice bag was uneatable

08/08/2026: Queued for at least an hour and a half then paid 20 euro to get in and we're kicked out after and hour for no reason, most likely so they could get more money from people entering. Worst experience in a venue ever. I am not a girl as stated in the ridiculous response by the venue to this review, i am a man. Sums up this venue😂
11/07/2026: Nice spot ruined by ignorant stuck up bouncers with massive egos. Paid €20 to get in after queuing for an hour and a half then bought two double vodkas for €15 each, only to be grabbed and thrown out for no reason at all. I was confused but listened and walked with the security as I questioned him 4-5 times which he wouldn’t answer on the reason he was removing me for, until I went out the door and he said he had 4 different people point me out complaining about me, which is completely false and fabricated as we were only in the building about an hour and hadn’t had any issues or interactions with anybody and were also arguably one of the most sober in the venue. Bar staff were nice, pity people who are unhappy with themselves chose to take it out on others and ruin a decent little pub, wouldn’t return if I was paid.

25/07/2026: I’ve been coming here off and on during visits for years. Their pizza and cheese bread is consistently excellent along with their lovely garlic sauce. The pizzas are a bit thin and crunchy with great flavor. Cash only which is a bit of a hassle.
10/07/2026: It was amazing they only took around 5mins and the food was great!

18/03/2025: First time in Spanish point and found it to be a lovely part of the wild atlantic way. A beautiful day for a walk along the beach and then lunch at Johnny Burkes in the Armada Hotel.
My Wife wasn't very hungry so just had the soup of the day which was parsnip, she really enjoyed it.
I had the roast rib of beef with all the trimmings and it was excellent.
Service was very fast considering it was very busy.
I'm already looking forward to a return trip during the summer.
19/01/2025: Johnny Burke's bar at the Amada in Spanish Point is brilliant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are welcoming and delightful. The food menu is very good indeed. Spectacular location, spectacular staff.

03/08/2026: I had a terrible experience here during the Willie Clancy Festival. I opened the entrance door because I was looking for my lady friend, who needed a lift home. I politely asked if she was inside, but before I could even explain properly, I was violently pushed back out through the doorway.
It was one of the rudest interactions I have ever had with customers at any establishment in Ireland. There was absolutely no need for such aggressive behaviour when I was simply trying to find someone.
Based on this experience, I would never open that door again, let alone consider returning. A very disappointing and unpleasant experience.
12/05/2026: So welcoming, nice, best home-cooked food, great drinks, and the best people you will ever meet. Can't thank you enough. Will never forget. Hope to see you all again soon.

29/03/2026: A wonderful, very friendly pub with accommodation in the mainstreet of Milltown Malby. Parking outside the door, room clean and comfortable with everything we required.
Landlord very helpful throughout.
Breakfast choices very good, great service and food quality and presentation excellent.
We will be back.

05/03/2025: Probably the worst fish n chips ever……
Simple. I wanted fresh fish and chips. He said the fish was fresh. Ok fish and chips please.
The fish was small and dry and could not have been fresh. And they are not chips but frozen fries.
Got back and ate some of the fish and threw the lot away…… we stayed hungry.
