We had heard that the Abbey does a good Sunday roast so we had to try it..... did not disappoint, lovely food, great staff and a beautiful interior, cant wait for next Sundayđź‘Ť

The best restaurant that I went for now here in Europe. The reception was perfect and the food is great. I'm lover of lamb, and here I ate the best lamb in my life.

We had an amazing meal at this place! In our opinion, the quality matches the price perfectly. The venue is clean and beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly and very attentive to detail. We stopped here for lunch, but looking at the menu, breakfast here must be fantastic too. Give it a try and let us know!

We stopped by the Tavern on our way through town. It was a tad early for lunch so we had a Baileys coffee while we waited. They where very taste, fresh and hot with perfect creamy topping. They had posted the daily specials and all sounded amazing. We had the soup and a chicken mushroom broccoli pie with potatoes. It was deliscious and perfect with a tall guiness.

Very tasty food, good size portions in reasonable price. Nice selection of menu and specials of the day. Helpful and friendly staff. We've been here couple times. Over the weekend is busy, so recommend reservation (but it's not necessary). Possible to park on the street parking.

Monks Well Inn

02/08/2026: We recently celebrated our engagement party at the Monks Well, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better night. We travelled home from Australia to celebrate with our family and friends, and Geraldine and the team made the whole experience so special. Geraldine is an absolute gem. The food was delicious and the music and atmosphere was rocking! I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s the perfect venue for any occasion. Thank you Geraldine and the rest of the team for a fantastic night. Everyone had a blast!
21/07/2026: We had our daughters christening party in the monks well. Geraldine and the staff at the monks well were absolutely brilliant to deal with from start to finish. All our guests were complementing the food and setup. Geraldine was very accommodating and helpful when we wanted to organise our own entertainment and decor. Would definitely recommend the monks well for any upcoming celebrations.

23/07/2025: Best place to go for food in swords pints are delish and the craic is ninety with the music upstairs love it brilliant experience
21/07/2025: Visited with my wife whilst staying locally for a few days. This pub was a fantastic find, great atmosphere and traditional Irish music being played by a live band. We only popped in for one drink and ended up staying for four. Would highly recommend a visit
