05/04/2024: Rooms on the 4th and 5th floor are 3star max. Need refurbishing. Hotel is charming, staff/service are great and location is very good.

04/04/2024: We are just after having a wonderful dinner at Milanos today. I have to say it was a remarkable evening . My boyfriend (now fiancé) proposed to me in there. The reason why he chose this restaurant was because it was the place where we had our first date, so it is a really special spot to us. From starters to dessert the food was amazing, one of the mains we had ordered was the smoky bbq chicken pizza and it was the highlight. Well done chef Jelchor. I would also like to leave here my high praises to the staff who was so helpful, we were just speechless… Thanks to the Manager, Hemilea and the lovely waitress, Natalie, we had a great time. Then at the end, when we went to pay the bill, we were shocked when they said it was on the house. We are very thankful!!! Really recommend Milano in Ennis as a place to go for a dinner and have a nice time.

02/04/2024: Beautiful meal today in The Half Barrel. A party of three, we had roast beef on a bed of creamy mash, broccoli spears and root veg with a rich gravy. Bacon and cabbage with spuds. And parsley sauce, done beautifully. A farmhouse burger and chips that was massive . Desserts were A bailey's cheesecake with ice cream and cream, a rubarb crumble and custard, and a creme brule. From the location, to the staff, to the food and atmosphere it was an easy 5 stars. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was top notch compliments to the chef. Served tinley and presented wonderfully. Big portions. I could not fault the lovely experience. Three main courses, three desserts, three cokes and two vodkas for €95 euro. Excellent value. We will definitely be back.

29/03/2024: This place is an excellent find. We found this place just looking for a room for the night following exploring the Cliffs of Mohar as we didn’t want to drive back to a city. Total lucky surprise made at last minute as we didn’t know nearly a thing about the hotel, just hoping for a couple rooms for night. What an incredible surprise. The rooms were large and comfortable. Very quiet at night. Even went out and saw some stars as the weather was clear. Old school quality, with solid WiFi. We had both dinner and breakfast which were delicious. The motivated staff were friendly and responsive to every need of our family. Several languages spoken by the staff. Nice pub in evening for the adults in the family. The view of the local waterfalls here is a bit stunning. Kid friendly, all ages here. Type of place all generations of a family can enjoy.

04/04/2024: The place is beautiful. The castle on the outside is very beautiful, inside it doesn't have much but the atmosphere is very cool. Around the castle is the town where people dress like the period and they explain things to you. There are also shops and cafes. Worth. There is parking. Tickets can be purchased in advance or there. Worth

03/04/2024: Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. You will enjoy a lot of this castle and park. There are plenty of curiosities both in the castle itself and in the park nearby. Go up the narrow stairs of the castle towers, feel the atmosphere of the main hall, and look at the rooms of the different status of the castle residents. And see how farmers, fishermen, blacksmiths, and other people of that time lived. The old houses are still heated by park staff in the same way as in ancient times. The entrance costs 10 euros. Large parking lot. Enjoy!

02/12/2023: Have had a lot of fun visiting this pub. Lovely friendly place with a warm welcome to all. Food is world class, drinks spot on to hit the spot. Mingle with the locals, learn lots, enjoy local music and bands from elsewhere in Ireland and make special memories!

08/11/2023: We came here several times during our stay in Fanore. By far some of the absolute best food of our road trip. Their crab claws are amazing!! A must order, in my opinion. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area.

29/03/2024: We had a great dinner at Oar (and stay). The rooms were fairly basic, but we were blown away by the dinner. Everything from start to finish was great. The dessert was our favorite. It was my husbands birthday and they even gave us complimentary glass of Prosecco. Highly recommend booking dinner here!

26/03/2024: The rooms are nice but no breakfast possible (pub 2 minutes walk), 40 minutes walk from the ferry, so a little restrictive with luggage and rooms upstairs but no ramp for suitcases. Regarding the restaurant, we had an exceptional dinner, worthy of the best restaurants. The service is a little slow but friendly and the quality of the wine and food is there. A must in the region!

17/02/2024: A friend introduced me to this lovely restaurant, as a handy spot for a pre-cinema meal. The food is tasty and served in very generous portions. The sit-down area is basic, clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is created by the truly lovely staff. If I could give 10 stars for service, I would.
