The Half Barrel in Whitegate

Excellent food! We had roast beef and fish (cod) and chips. All done amazingly well. Warm friendly service. Will be back when we are over that way in Clare next time. Highly recommended.

Very friendly local pub with delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff.

Great food from the menu, also various items on the daily menu. We had dinner with 14 people, all plates on the tables at the same time.

Not before time am I writing this review. Go there most Saturdays with my friend and have never been disappointed. Steak sandwiche and chips are absolutely delicious. The excellent staff are amongst the best i have encountered. 100% recommend that people try this marvellous place.

Portions are generous and food is devine, staff are very friendly and helpful, value for money, definitely recommend.

We went there for dinner on the 15th of November 2025 the service was very good and the food was a 100%.We will be back again.
