Very busy when we were there , mix of locals and travelers. Pints were perfect and the music was as authentic as it comes. We had a special treat and Dave Lofts sat in for a couple songs with the local trad players.

A quaint pub, excellent food, and good music. Table management needs some work. The pub is large, and there's only one person who manages those who want to eat. Obviously, since it's practically the only pub in the area, everyone goes there.

This place was recommended to us by so many people, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The food just wasn’t that good, it was actually the first time I couldn’t finish a chowder in Ireland. My friends had burgers, and they found them a bit dry as well. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day.

The pub is spacious but quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation. Food and drinks are ordered and paid for at the bar, and then brought to your table. The food is delicious.

Perfect location. With outdoor tables overlooking the sea. Close to the ferry terminal for the Aran Islands. Ideal for lunch after visiting the cliffs.

We didn't go for food to this place. We went for the music. It was good for a while but people came in with dogs, three dogs to be precise. When customers saw this they went and got their dogs, so by the time we left, there were 7 dogs on the premises. I have no problem with dogs outside but these people were sitting at tables, with their dogs on their laps, and the animals were at one stage licking the table, (one dog in particular was actually standing on table), health standards come into question, where people had eaten a meal some time before. It is possible that more customers may use this table when dogs are gone. While the ballad session was continuing, dog owners were blocking front door and customers either entering or exiting were confronted with dogs. One of our party is terrified of dogs and we had to leave premises by a side door. We were not impressed and certainly won't be back.

Incredible little spot. Stopped in while shopping around town for a pint. Great atmosphere.
