Dropped in for a wee bite enroute back to Dublin, good food, excellent service and a great atmosphere....sadly no pints this time...was driving! We'll be back!

Beautiful location on the river across from Bunratty Castle. Plenty of nooks and crannies as well as large rooms and outdoor seating. Pretty architecture with blossoming flowers everywhere.

Had a lovely family meal here. The food was really good. Went about 6 pm, which was an ideal time for the children.

Trip to bunratty castle can't be done without a stop to Durty Nelly's, didn't eat but what I saw coming out looked great and the service is excellent. Ok I stayed long enough I got food! The Nelly sub amazing.

This is an old pub across the street from Bunratty Castle. There's a great patio outside to sit during good weather. It has a big wraparound bar so if sitting on the side, like we were, it may take a while before you're noticed. The decor is typical old Irish pub style. Didn't order food, therefore, couldn't rate it.

Traditional Irish Night-Cornbarn at Bunratty Folk Park

04/04/2024: The place is beautiful. The castle on the outside is very beautiful, inside it doesn't have much but the atmosphere is very cool. Around the castle is the town where people dress like the period and they explain things to you. There are also shops and cafes. Worth. There is parking. Tickets can be purchased in advance or there. 03/04/2024: Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. You will enjoy a lot of this castle and park. There are plenty of curiosities both in the castle itself and in the park nearby. Go up the narrow stairs of the castle towers, feel the atmosphere of the main hall, and look at the rooms of the different status of the castle residents. And see how farmers, fishermen, blacksmiths, and other people of that time lived. The old houses are still heated by park staff in the same way as in ancient times. The entrance costs 10 euros. Large parking lot. Enjoy!

16/12/2023: Love this place and my 1st choice if I'm going for a pint. Its big but is split into different sections depending on what you want. Its suited for any occasion: 2 pints on a Sunday, live music on a Friday evening with your partner, plenty of tvs in front bar for any sport, all night session, 2 separate rooms that you can book for parties with lots of finger food. Damien and Catherine have done a great job and are always there to greet people and keep the place to top standards.
