I think it’s one of the best castles I’ve visited so far, and the village is charming as well. Whenever friends come to visit from abroad, I always take them here. Highly recommended!

The village behind the castle is very beautiful, offering a full immersion into the life of the inhabitants of that era. The castle itself is very interesting. The well-maintained outdoor spaces are child-friendly, with games and animals to see, including deer.

An amazing place, the fortress itself is a bit boring on the inside, you go up to the top and that's it, very impressive on the outside! The reconstructed village around it is simply a crazy experience, we and the children had a great time, it was raining heavily and we still chose to continue walking around and going from house to house, some of them are really active, a blacksmith, a shop, a hotel and others. The children loved the experience and so did we. A very beautiful place

I only live a few miles from Bunratty, but love going here. There is a bounty of things to see and do here. Cafes are all really good. Staff are really friendly.

This was a fun place to spend an afternoon. The castle is small but very interesting. It does have a lot of steps inside...just FYI. The little village surrounding the castle is very cute with little shops, a pub, restaurant, tea room, sweet shop...etc.

A truly beautiful and well-maintained castle. When you tour the interior, you feel like you're back in the Middle Ages. Outside the castle, various medieval settings have been recreated, with hands-on demonstrations (e.g., the blacksmith). Medieval banquets are also available, but we didn't try them. The castle closes early for banquets (around 4:30 PM), while the rest of the castle stays open until 6:30 PM.

Had a lovely relaxing afternoon here in the catering area recently. It's perfect for a group of people as there are all kinds of food & drink options available on site, with covered seating. Toilets also on site.
There is also a carvery option, garden shop, Blarney Woollen Mills etc.
