We've been several times and always enjoy it. Highly recommended for adults and children alike. The staff, dressed in period costumes, answer all your questions.

An absolutely amazing place to go! (Accessibility info at the bottom of this review) Would recommend coming here in spring. The sun was out and it was beautiful walking through the different farm house replicas and the old town street. The staff are super friendly! The castle itself is amazing and I was shocked that you can GO IN the castle and walk up and down the stair cases to see the different rooms. Truely a unique experience. Huge shoutout to Connor the ‘school teacher’!! His energy was amazing and he really drew us in with his joy and whimsy…. Not to mention his talent with the tin whistle!! Another huge shoutout to the Potter whose name I didn’t get, but he was lovely and talented. Everything in his shop was beautifully hand crafted and truely unique. You can’t find it anywhere else. I recommend checking out his shop and getting something as you won’t find anything like what he makes and it supports local artists. I want to go back and buy some more of his works. Hopefully I can! All the staff went the extra mile to engage with patrons. I’d also definitely recommend trying to be there for the butter and scones making! There’s a tea room, cafe and gift shop aswell, the food was good and I have no complaints about anything! The castle has no access for wheelchair users and I wouldn’t recommend attempting the internal stairs cases if you have mobility issues, HOWEVER, the rest of the village is accessibility friendly and seemed quite accommodating.

I went here on a rainy day in April. It was beautiful. The area was surprisingly quiet (probably because of the rain) and much larger than I expected. There is a lot to see. I really enjoyed seeing all the characters dressed up in traditional outfits talking about Irish history. There are lots of shops filled with handmade Irish art and souvenirs. Every room is brimming with culture and whimsy

Ok. I was skeptical and though this was going to be super corney. It was not. The food was good, the entertainment was amazing and the overall experience was so worth it.

Lovely place to visit. Castle and village are great for learning about Irish history. Bunratty village has many places to eat to suit most budgets, a great little garden centre and a large store for buying gifts and household items. Parking was easy as there are a couple of carparks.
