24/03/2024: A 'Must Go' Gem in the heart of co. Clare. You've the perfect formula for that special or casual night out. Stunning view, interesting decor, gorgeous food, perfect service & at a reasonable price too. The entertainment was a nice touch. Will make a point of visiting any time we're in the area. Thanks 😊
25/02/2024: A lovely restaraunt with a nice atmosphere. Waitress was very nice and good service. Food was second to none, both the chicken and steak were delicious. The guitarist playing while you eat is a nice touch.

Falls Hotel & Spa

Ennistymon
29/03/2024: This place is an excellent find. We found this place just looking for a room for the night following exploring the Cliffs of Mohar as we didn’t want to drive back to a city. Total lucky surprise made at last minute as we didn’t know nearly a thing about the hotel, just hoping for a couple rooms for night. What an incredible surprise. The rooms were large and comfortable. Very quiet at night. Even went out and saw some stars as the weather was clear. Old school quality, with solid WiFi. We had both dinner and breakfast which were delicious. The motivated staff were friendly and responsive to every need of our family. Several languages spoken by the staff. Nice pub in evening for the adults in the family. The view of the local waterfalls here is a bit stunning. Kid friendly, all ages here. Type of place all generations of a family can enjoy.

McMahons Bar (Murts)

Ennistymon
17/12/2023: Lovely pub great atmosphere and warm
10/10/2023: There's some sort of magic in the air as I walk these quiet streets. Passing the various pubs, I catch snippets of lively conversation and laughter, fleeting moments of conviviality, too far to touch, too close to ignore. In front of McMahons I come across a man wearing the grotesque characterization of a 1970s disco outfit, and quickly come to the conclusion that I have somehow travelled through time, though I look and feel no different. I look behind me, panic coursing through my veins as I try to remember what my wife looks like, if I have children, if I have any life at all. Turning back around, I lock eyes with the disco god, his eyes unfocused, a cigarette clenched between his teeth, glowing like a demon's birthmark in the semi-darkness. "Almost didn't see you there," I say. "You blend in so well." The disco god's eyes, wide as Montreal bagels, bore into me. In the gaze of his fury I imagine torment, tribute, and Turn the Beat Around. I await his judgment, accepting my cruel fate. "I like you!" The disco god bellows.

Marrinan's

23/10/2023: Found this place completely by accident. No frills pub with a great pint of Guinness, shur' what else would you need. Guinness, Smid, Carlsberg, and Hydrogen on tap. Staff very pleasant and will have a chat if they can with you.
09/10/2023: Was a surprise highlight of our trip! Randomly told of the Monday night sessions the morning of - started up around 9:30pm. For that evening, it warmed up quickly with 10+ musicians and ended up with nearly 20. Folks were friendly in spite of our own awkwardness of not knowing whether we should move from where we initially sat as more people showed up :D and left well after close (11pm according to google at time of review).

10/02/2024: New to the area and was trying to find the best pizza and Indian takeaway. Mr. Kebab, despite the name, does really good quality pizza and Indian. The burgers are great as well. Would love if they added fresh cut chips to the menu too. Well worth checking the place out

Grovemount House

Ennistymon
25/09/2023: Grovemount House is the ideal place for a weekend at the Cliffs of Moher. It is located close to Shannon Airport, 45 minutes by car. Ennistymon, Lahinch, Liscannor are small, typically Irish villages. Our hosts were just wonderful throughout our stay despite the language barrier... We highly recommend, don't hesitate!
