Only called in for a meal but what an impact when you head toward the main door & inside took my breath away! The reception staff were very warm& attentive as were bar staff. The food was excellent but the whiskey liquor coffee was one of best i have had and i,m very fussy about how its made& presented! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for three nights while on a tour that included County Clare and the west coast, and I felt welcome right from the start. The reception staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay, promptly sorting out a hitch on our arrival when my suitcase was left outside the wrong room, and mailing all my postcards on the day we left. Could not believe how big and spacious my room was! I had a choice between a double bed or a generous single one. The room was clean, quiet and warm, with ample wardrobe space and all the usual amenities. The only negative for me was that the table and writing desk were too high for the chairs, rather a problem if you're not very tall! The bathroom had a lovely spacious walk-in shower, handmade toiletries (beautiful fragrance!), and extra towels. Dinner was in a large restaurant on the lower ground floor. Courteous and charming waiters, and professional service. The wine was quite pricey, but we were offered free drinks on the first evening. The dinners were well prepared, plenty of variety with creative ingredients, though I noticed no vegetarian options for the main courses. I especially loved the delicious beef and Guinness casserole, and the locally sourced lamb. Gorgeous desserts too. The hearty breakfasts really set me up for the day. As well as the usual cereals and cooked breakfast, there was a nice cold buffet with cheese, hard-boiled egg, cold meats and mackerel. There's an immaculate little garden with outside tables and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. A flight of steps leads from here down to the River Inagh and the waterfalls, and the picturesque village of Ennistymon is only a 5 minute walk away. There was music and dancing in the bar on all three nights we were here, including traditional Irish entertainment on our last night. I certainly enjoyed the time I spent here and would stay here again.

We stayed at the Falls Hotel & Spa for one night. The location is absolutely beautiful, overlooking a river with lovely cascading water steps. The building itself is quite historic, which gives it great character from the outside. Inside, it was very clean and well-maintained, and there was plenty of free parking available.
A word of warning if you have mobility issues: there are mandatory steps to reach the reception for check-in. This was a bit surprising, given that the main demographic during our stay seemed to be people in their 60s to 80s.
Our room was quite large, but the window faced a wall. This was fine for just one night, but it would have been a bit depressing for a longer stay. Aside from the view, the room was spotless.
Please note that there was no way to adjust the room temperature other than opening a small window. The radiator was running the entire time, so the window and radiator were essentially fighting each other. I probably wouldn't stay here if the outside temperature was above 20°C! :)
We also tried the pool and spa area, which felt a bit dated. Keep in mind that swim caps are required. You have to buy them for €3.50 at reception if you don't bring one (though we did spot a few people without them, so enforcement might be relaxed). The view from the Jacuzzi overlooking the river, however, is marvelous.
Breakfast was good, and you could order a variety of hot options from the staff. I tried the Eggs Benedict, though the eggs were thoroughly cooked rather than poached, which was a little bit disappointing.
In terms of pricing, it was one of the most affordable hotels in the area, so I really can't complain about that.
Still we were a little bit disappointed, especially when looking at all the good reviews of this hotel.

We stayed in the Suite and it did not disappoint! A huge bed, shuttered windows, a fridge, hairdryer, robes, a bath, walk in shower! It was such a gorgeous room and made our stay so so so special!
Great stay, thanks for everything

Stunning location and a very warm welcome on arrival at reception. We had adjoining rooms and it was ideal. We also had our dinner brought to our room for only an additional €7. Breakfast was super too.

Very much a mixed bag here. The staff generally are, for the most part very accommodating and friendly. The location in a charming town next to a really impressive natural feature - The Cascades - is very impressive. Why then did I find my stay somewhat depressing? The interiors are very dated - a sea of brown wooden features/furniture, and aged patterned carpets. Faux velvet upholstery and smoky mirrors. My bedroom was dark with only one small window. And although my bathroom was modern with a large shower area, the actual shower head itself was small and blocked with limescale. The hotel claims to be 100% carbon neutral, but on both days I opted for my towels not to be changed, thus saving water and energy, both days they were changed. And when will hotels stop playing dreadful piped (jazz?) music in public areas? Torture!
This hotel is not a budget price and has “ideas” that it is a high end affair. It is not, for all its well meaning and friendly staff.
