16/08/2025: We called at 11:35 that we would arrive by 12 and asked if we could still get breakfast then, as they serve breakfast until 12. They promised they would „keep an eye out for us“. So we skipped the breakfast option in the little town where we were. Then when we arrived at the till at 12:07 (we didn’t realise how long it takes to park in their tiny, overflowing parking spaces) they refused to serve us. Is that Irish hospitality?
13/08/2025: One of the best locations on the west coast of Ireland.
The food is superb n reasonably priced. This is a family run restaurant & now hosts wedding days. Post prandial go for a swim in one of the pollock holes ,- when the tide is ebbing or low.

03/05/2025: Came by this pub by off chance when me and my mate were doing a tour of west coast of Ireland.
Coming in early evening we were only intending to stay for a couple but Christine the landlady her partner Mike and Martin one of the regulars made us feel so welcome we ended staying a bit longer and leaving in the early hours, with Martins wife giving us a lift back to our camper van
Loved it so much was really tempted to come back for the jazz festival in the village at the end of May but unable to due to work commitments. I do know if you decide to visit you will made to feel very welcome.

02/09/2025: 35 of us visited here for a work outing. Had BBQ burgers, chips and salads. Excellent atmosphere and live music plus very attentive management.

10/08/2025: A must visit bar in Ballyvaughan village on the Wild Atlantic Way. Famous for its whiskey but also excellent for cocktails & other drinks. The owner Margaret is a fountain of local information. Chat to the locals here they are very friendly.

09/09/2025: We loved all of Ireland but staying with Marion, Frank and Bertie at Sheedys was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Their attention to detail, helpful advice, WONDERFUL food and warm hospitality left us only wanting one for one thing: MORE TIME! We will definitely make more time next trip!

16/07/2025: Absolutely wonderful little Cafe. The coffee was delicious and piping hot and the cinnamon brown bread scone was so so tasty. The slices of cake are more than generous and very good. A tad too sweet for my personal taste but my table companions loved it. The service was also outstanding. So friendly and warm. I can't recommend enough.
