Passatempo in Ennis

Such a lovely and cosy Italian restaurant. It’s small, but you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. They open at 12, and by 12:15 the place was already almost full, which says a lot. We stopped here because we had been travelling around Ireland for several days and fancied something different. Honestly, if this restaurant were in my hometown, I would come back very often. The owners are Italian (we could hear them speaking Italian), and the pasta was some of the best we’ve had on our trip. Fresh, really tasty and clearly good quality. They also serve the pasta with bread, which was a lovely touch. A great little place if you’re looking for authentic Italian food.

Absolute best meal we’ve had in Ireland in 4 weeks. We did not have reservations, but they seated the two of us. Small place - everyone else who came in had reservations. I had the homemade pasta with bolognese and husband had homemade pasta with a spicy sauce. We each had a glass of wine. The silkiest lightest past ever. So fresh. The sauce was meaty and filling bd just the right amount so it adhered to the noodles but wasn’t swimming in sauce. Excellent service. Don’t miss out!

The best bruschetta caprese I've ever eaten! The antipasto was also very tasty and fresh. Very authentic Italian cuisine. I went back to Passatempo for lunch today. This time I had ragu bolognese and it was simply outstanding.

I’m Italian, I have been living in Ireland for 3 years so far, traveled everywhere and this it the first authentic 100% excellent Italian food. Feels like home
