21/05/2026: Fantastic fresh chips there fantastic 👏 but remember its take away

10/04/2026: We ended up taking a detour through Clare Hills in Ennis due to the ongoing fuel protests in Ireland (tractor and haulier convoys on motorways) after getting stuck in traffic, but it turned out to be a really lucky find! 😄 We came across Vesuvio Take Away and we’re so glad we did. The food was absolutely outstanding- fresh, full of flavour, and very generous portions. Adriana and Tony were so warm and welcoming, and you can really see the care they put into everything they make. We ordered lamb doner kebab, chicken fillet burger, taco cheese chips, and fresh cod—everything was delicious! Only note: it’s cash only. We were too hungry to even think about taking photos 😂 Such a great experience overall, very happy with them and highly recommend if you’re near Ennis!

24/03/2026: It's a small, charming, and very lovely pub. The owner is very friendly, the Guinness is delicious, and visitors are asked to sign the guestbook. Thank you for having us as guests.

03/07/2026: Doesn't do food. A very traditional bar, don't go if you like loud music and plastic. The premises comprise of a one half shop, one half bar/ lounge. They do have a TV but it wasn't on when we visited , radio playing. Lots of old fashioned pub trinkets behind the bar , and historical pictures on the walls. Lovely local people to chat to. Sit at the bar and enjoy the lost art of conversation,with a lovely pint of Guinness at very reasonable prices. If you want a good craic, this is the place to go.

27/02/2026: Excellent! This restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious dishes! There are so many vegetarian options, it's hard to know what to choose. I ordered a vegetable curry, and the cook added tofu; it was delicious. Thanks again for the complimentary drinks and shrimp chips.

23/12/2025: Absolutely loved this place! The waitress was adorable and incredibly kind — she took the time to chat with us and even treated us to prawn crackers and chocolates 😊 The portions are huge, the prices are very reasonable, and everything was absolutely delicious! We definitely ordered way too much and had leftovers for days, but I will 100% be coming back ♥️ The crispy shredded chicken and the fried rice were amazing ! All allergens are indicated on the menu

25/07/2026: From check-in to check-out, the experience was flawless. The rooms were pristine, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. However, the absolute highlight was the food—every meal was a culinary masterpiece. The breakfast buffet offered an amazing variety, and dinner at the hotel restaurant featured rich, perfectly balanced flavors. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

24/07/2026: Stayed at Morrissey’s last week, and all I can say is wow! I was blown away by the whole experience. The food was absolutely incredible, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was brilliant. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it!

21/07/2026: Visited with my dad in '06. We where on a guided tour and I vividly remember the painting on the wall in the pub and the good times we had. Took a picture of the painting and the people on the guided tour. Revisted 2 years ago on our honeymoon. Still the painting was there. My dad died several years prior to our marriage and honymoon and I showed the owners a picture of us there back in '06. Had a lovely time there with my wife as well. And a couple of pints of Guiness. Asked for a wee dram of Redspot, the owner asked if I was sure ('cause it's a bit steep) which I was. He poured a dram, looked me in the eyes, said, "for good old times sakes lad" and filled the glass quite a lot more than usual. A toast for my dad so to speak. Which was and still is something I will never forget and am gratefull for to this very day. I know it's been a while but thank you. This meant and means so much to me still. 08/05/2026: I feel like I was captured by the faeries and set down in a romantic Merchant Ivory film! I tooled around the West with friends for 9 days. They left, and I stayed here for two magical days. Everything - the hospitality of the house, the history, its surroundings. The stillness is just phenomenal. I think I’m just going to have to write some poetry when I get home! ☘️

02/05/2026: A quiet location in the beautiful country away from the hussle and busy of busy daily life. Fabulous food and friendly professional staff. Dietary requirements are not an issue.
