The best restaurants in Clare

14/07/2026: I’m sorry to say the meat course was disappointing. At 60€, expectations are understandably high. The falafel served was far from what should be called falafel. It lacked herbs, seasoning, and any real flavour. The dessert, a simple cake with ice cream,was fine, but not something that felt special or memorable. Flowers are beautiful in the field, but on the plate they should contribute to the dish and be fully edible.

26/06/2026: We love the suprise menu cause it takes the thinking away from choosing your meal and it's exciting. Such a unique experience, every aspect of the restaurant is 10/10.

15/06/2026: On tour in this beautiful town .on 2 occasions at 2.55pm we visit place and straight away we were told they are closed on tea/ coffee selection from cling film covered confectionery. another day we visit it again at 3.05pm same story .closed. what kind of a business closes its doors to the busy public town..lady with high pitch voice was not nice.. . Reviews are good so far for customers that are in before 3pm after that goodbye.

14/06/2026: A beautiful, old bar with a great atmosphere. Friendly service and very good beer. There was live Irish music that evening and the place was packed. A hidden gem!

27/07/2026: Really overpriced and really mediocre food. Almost downright bad food, I’m being generous with 2 stars instead of 1. It’s a decent atmosphere though. $34 dollars for pan fried Willapa Bay oysters??? That’s an insult. Willapa Bay oysters aren’t expensive. If you want good seafood, absolutely do not come here. They’ll charge you an arm and a leg and it’ll be the most average meal you ever had in your life

25/07/2026: After driving around and around to find parking we got right in. We did not know what we wanted and the waitress never came back. We waited a long time not just a few minutes. Long enough for my husband to finish his drink. We left cash for the drink on the table and let other staff know when we left. Unfortunately by that time everywhere else qas closed to eat except fast food. I estimate our bill to have been 100 to 125 had we eaten there.

30/06/2026: We had a lovely meal here 29/6/26.The waiting staff were so nice to myself and my husband and gave great ideas of what to do in and around miltown.

22/07/2026: Fantastic shopping centre with a great selection of retail chains and small independent traders. I particularly like their charity shop which is always well stocked and with friendly staff.

01/06/2026: Have been here over course of 4-5 bank holiday weekends recently and each time the kitchen is closed. So just coffee and some buns available. Had previously found food here was nice. It’s a shame kitchen closed when many ppl visit. Serving staff a little unfriendly too. Even though it was not busy. Wouldnt return i dont think

31/05/2026: Under new ownership from 2026. No longer selling a variety of items, but they do have locally produced grocery. Delicious sandwiches and salads featuring locally farmed veg (organic). I love the pickle and cheese sandwich so much! Takeaway sandwich on focaccia is €8.50. They charge you extra to eat in, which I find odd and unfriendly. Sometimes the counter person seems to be on another planet. EDIT - thanks, I didn’t know that about VAT!

26/04/2026: Patrick's is a great bar great service great atmosphere good music and a nice size smoking area/beer garden has a great staged seating area in the back great for party's and screens all around to watch what ever sports you want will defo be back

18/07/2026: Had two lovely pints in here. Locals are good criac and down to chat and the service was great. Two girls behind the bar keep the drinks flowing.

20/07/2026: We visited many places on our tour of Ireland, and had a wonderful time in Doolin, except for our dinner at Fitz's. We had high hopes as we walked into this pub as it initially looks like the quaint Irish pubs we've been visiting along our trip. The restaurant is in back and is newer and more upscale. Not a big deal and we were still excited for the experience. We were sat right away and drink order soon followed. When we ordered our drinks, I also ordered a side of chips as we were very hungry and wanted something to snack on. I ordered a Dooliner Red to drink and it was great. The dining room isn't that big and they had five people working it and seemingly all doing the same jobs. Could not tell waiter from busser from runner, etc. I've worked in restaurants and it seemed like a confusing way to do things. I mention this as once our drinks came, everything fell apart. The side of chips I ordered with my drink hadn't come out, and I had to ask someone to check on them. They brought them out and they were cold. After a while, someone came by to take our dinner order, which took forever to come out. After dinner, it felt like we were invisible. Finally, someone cleared the table and asked about dessert. My wife ordered a dessert and I ordered a whiskey. The dessert came out so fast like she'd called ahead for it. First thing that was on time all night. The whiskey I ordered never came. :-( Finally, it was next to impossible to get someone over to get the check. I had to go to the host stand twice to get that done. It was a very disappointing experience all around. The food was incredible, five stars for that. The service was pathetic, at least for us. We were trying to figure out if we had offended someone it was that bad. Tables had come and gone by the time we were able to get the check, pay, and leave. Go for the food and HOPE that you get good service.

19/07/2026: One of the very best pub/ restaurants I have ever been to. The house brew was great and the chowder was the best I have ever had by far and the ingredients are all local. You must visit this pub while in Doolin.

16/07/2026: Ordered the chicken gyoza and duck spring rolls for starters. Had the Singapore noodles and chicken katsu don. Everything was incredible and the service was great too. Would go back again.
