The best restaurants in Clare

18/10/2025: Had a great first time experience here, lovely little spot, the food (I had the full Irish) was excellent, perfectly cooked. Service staff were working hard but very attentive. I also had the apple pie - just do that :) They have tables availible in the main pub if you see it full, so just ask. Highly recommend this place for great atmosphere, tasty food and great staff, this is how it should be done. Be aware there are limited Gluten free options.

22/07/2025: Nice spot for quick pint in the beer garden with the dogs Was confirmed couldn't sit inside with the dogs, no issue, but as we left we noticed another dog that arrived at same time was still sat inside - must have been a local so different rules apply.

15/01/2026: I love the food here. Unlike other Asian restaurants in Ireland, this one is fresh and excellent tasting! Try the Prawn Chop Suey!

28/09/2025: The bread aection is a bit limited. I had the Guinness bread with a cappuccino and enjoyed them both. There was also a nice selection of pastries, salads, hot and cold sandwiches but didn't have any. Staff is courteous and efficient.

29/10/2025: Family-run, medium-sized hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. The location is perfect if you're traveling by car and want to explore the Irish west coast south of Galway. There's a restaurant, a bar with a limited menu, and a gym with a pool. Highly recommended!

26/10/2025: Had a very pleasant late cheese toastie and beer here after walk on the beach. Very smart inside. Ideal for family lunches.

27/02/2026: Excellent! This restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious dishes! There are so many vegetarian options, it's hard to know what to choose. I ordered a vegetable curry, and the cook added tofu; it was delicious. Thanks again for the complimentary drinks and shrimp chips.

The waitress was adorable and incredibly kind — she took the time to chat with us and even treated us to prawn crackers and chocolates 😊 The portions are huge, the prices are very reasonable, and everything was absolutely delicious! We definitely ordered way too much and had leftovers for days, but I will 100% be coming back ♥️ The crispy shredded chicken and the fried rice were amazing ! All allergens are indicated on the menu

20/01/2026: We had a fabulous starter, dinner, and dessert at The Snug Pizzeria. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the quiet, peaceful setting made it ideal for a couple who wanted to catch up over dinner. Warm, relaxed and highly recommended!

29/03/2026: A wonderful, very friendly pub with accommodation in the mainstreet of Milltown Malby. Parking outside the door, room clean and comfortable with everything we required. Landlord very helpful throughout. Breakfast choices very good, great service and food quality and presentation excellent. We will be back.

10/03/2026: We have eaten in and have had food delivered. We were really happy on all occasions.They couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. The delivery arrived extremely fast even though we live quite far away. I would highly recommend the Shannon Palace to anybody. There’s so much variety. the food is delicious and very well presented. Thank you so much for being so lovely!

25/01/2026: My daughter & I had a lovely one night stay, warm welcome when we arrived, the hotel itself is so cosy and all the staff were so friendly...our room was actually two connected rooms, one with a double bed and one single; the beds were so comfortable, the room & ensuite were so clean and so tastefully decorated. Food for dinner and breakfast the next day was delicious with generous servings. We will definitely be returning...soon hopefully.

27/12/2025: My partner is new to kilkee and said the following. Perfect spot to stay, great food in the bar or restaurant reasonably priced at the top of main street, we think most of the staff are family already trying to get another weekend in August 2026. We stayed there 2 weeks ago for the first time but definitely not the last. Highly recommend it

15/01/2026: We were happy to find something open serving food in Doolin, early January is their quietest time of year. The food and service was very good, but the restaurant area lacked a little atmosphere there being few customers.

05/01/2026: I first ate at this place back in 2017, and I recently came back. I still remembered that they had the best fish and chips I had ever tried in my life, and that memory did not disappoint. I never forgot the flavor or how good the food was here, even after so many years. Coming back confirmed that it truly deserves the reputation. The fish is perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the flavor is outstanding. It brought back great memories and met my expectations completely. I can honestly say it is still one of the best fish and chips experiences I have had. One hundred percent recommended if you are visiting. Greetings all the way from Mexico.
