09/07/2024: Simple and good. Very friendly staff! Watched football on TV with great sound. We had two meals, the burger which was great and the steak sandwich which unfortunately was disappointing to me as the steak was not so good... as it is listed as one of the specialtys of the house that should've done better! But had an overall great evening.

03/07/2025: The Temple Gate hotel was clean and conveniently located. Neal and other front desk staff were very helpful and truly knowledgeable of the hotel’s and the area’s rich history. The rooms were nice and very clean. My only critique is that there is no AC, which is not unusual in this area and the rooms had plug-in standing fans, which helped along with opening windows. I’m just spoiled by AC, so I’m a bit picky in this regard. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
06/06/2025: a bald inadequate German at the reception shouts all sorts of obscene language at the guests and points to the exit. I highly do not recommend this hotel, I WOULD PREFER TO STAY AT THE ASHFORD HOTEL

16/06/2025: As a tourist on her way to Cliffs of Moher, this place was really excellent! We wanted a quick on-the-go breakfast and coffee. They have pre-made ham and cheese paninis that they will toast for you. The coffee is excellent. I got the Americano with 2 sugar packets and milk, and it hit the spot. Highly recommend!

02/06/2025: Grim. Was here over bank holiday weekend. Served a flat white with sour milk. The milk was so obviously sour yet when i returned discreetly and respectfully to tell them they seemed bewildered. Both bottles of milk they were using had been sitting out all day in a hot window, they told me they had taken it out ‘that morning’ This was late afternoon. Very surprised it hadn’t been obvious to them the milk was yellow and had a foul smell. It had clearly separated in my drink. Also bought cookies that were undercooked. Staff didn’t seem that interested. Poor hygiene was evident throughout the food service counter. Leaving a review so owner can resolve hygiene issues and upskill staff.
27/05/2025: The service has plummeted very badly; this has gone from a place I used to go out of my way for, half dozen times a year. I left hungry and offended. Avoid.

26/05/2025: We only had lunch at the Pub Restaurant of the Bayview Hotel. We both ordered Curry dishes: my wife the Vegan Curry and I had the Thai Chicken Curry. Both dishes were tasty but the Chicken one had nothing to do with Thai. It was more of an Indian Curry served with Naan (or an attempt to), chutney and rice. The dish was oddly also accompanied with french fries. The Cheesecake of the day was, as expected, Baileys but the taste was really subtle. Overall a good lunch.
