The best restaurants in Clare

25/04/2026: We’re regulars at Bollywood for takeaway and dine In for years. Have eaten at several other award winning Indians in Ireland and I consider Bollywood to be A LOT better than most. And great value too. And lovely staff!!

25/06/2026: We were there on Monday, June 16th. Great pub, fantastic drinks, and very friendly service! We struck up a conversation quite quickly. Dan and a nice Scotsman who was traveling to Boston for the World Cup the next day. Unfortunately, there was no music that evening. So we sang a song together—and it felt like the whole pub joined in. It was a great experience and a very pleasant evening! 5 stars!

06/06/2026: Had an excellent experience ordering delivery, all food orders were correct and the food itself was well packaged and tasty, we only had one out of many containers that spilled some sauce, which is a very good ratio in my opinion. Note for anyone with crustacean allergies, our order included free but unlabeled shrimp crisps (didn't seem to cause any cross contamination, our party member with a crustacean allergy was fine)

14/12/2025: Its the best bar in town, if you want to meet people and chat like bars were years ago its the place to go, all ages of people chatting with one another, no tvs spoiling the atmosphere.

28/10/2025: Came back to this pub yesterday…Forget my previous review…Its even better than what I originally wrote.If you’re in Clare this is a must,otherwise you have missed out…..Its one of the great Irish pubs that quietly exist and are waiting to be discovered.This is my original review… This pub was recommended to me as having the best pint in Lahinch.It has possibly the best pint of Guinness Ive ever had.The staff are great and the owner is very chatty and friendly.The bar itself is exactly what a bar should be and theres a big beer garden outside for when the sun shines.10/10.Looking forward to returning soon.

24/05/2026: Went here on a sunny day with my boyfriend. Lovely atmosphere, the staff was so attentive and kind, very good coffee and food. We got the savory french toast and potato hash and devoured it immediately. Thank you for having us, we'll definitely come again!

06/07/2026: Came here for lunch the girl sat us right away, then waited for about 15 mins for the menu, the girls were all chatting away, after a while we ordered, our pizza which was delicious. If you just want delicious pizza minus the service this is the place…

31/05/2026: i got a mixed doner kebab which will be my last time ever getting anything from there again. about 15 mins after eating the kebab I became very ill and began to vomit. for the prices there charging I was expecting a very high standard but the food was terrible quality. I got food poisoning from the kebab I reckon i was served stale meat or left overs because the meat i was given was separate from other orders when I watched them prepare it.

21/06/2026: Lovely café with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and efficient. Everything was great, and I really enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended!

28/05/2026: It’s a cosy, small place. I really loved the food for its homemade and traditional taste. And exceptional work from the waitress, who was serving everyone on her own with such a brilliant attitude 🇲🇽🇮🇪

24/06/2026: Had the most fun 1st day of my 4th trip to ireland, there. Wandered in hearing the music, annoyed everyone in there, I am sure (without meaning, too, though, I was just so happy and giddy to be back, having landed in after working nearly everyday and lots of double shifts to afford the holiday and 20 hours of flying and airport layovers.) I had pints, began flat-footing about to the music, got someone to round the house with me a bit in a tipsy polka. And then, heard the funniest thing in my life as someone shouted out, refering to me of course, "Who ordered the Temu dancer?" I about spit out my drink. It did not dampen my spirits and it will now, forever be the prequel to anytime I cannot hold still to diddley-dideldy. I will ask, "Did someone order a dancer from Temu?" and off I will go. Thank you to the sweet bartendress, and to the very kind and fun regulars, I hope my lack of talent and unbridled enthusiasm was more amusing than annoying. The craic was ninety in the diamond bar. I hope I get to return some day. 5 stars, highly recommend!💕🥳🥰🍻

09/07/2026: We were here in July 26 on our way through from the ferry to Lisdoonvarna. Food was lovely, perfect portions and really home cooked. Had lovely tender roast beef, yummie fish and chips, and chicken Maryland. Staff were very friendly and we will definitely come back.

18/06/2026: Best late night option near Doolin!!! We hiked the Doolin cliff walk and were starving when we got done around 9:30. None of the restaurants in Doolin were open and Mr Kebab came to the rescue. They delivered delicious food to us and made our family of 6 happy! Thank you Mr Kebab!!

13/06/2026: We stopped for quick snack, did not stay in B&B so can't comment on that. But food was lovely 😍 we had pizza and a seafood chower and it was great!

30/05/2026: Chicken burger is 21.50 and tastes like the chicken fillets bought in a lidl four pack.. really should cost 17.50 like the much nicer pizzas.

11/06/2026: The hotel has a certain charm, but it's not worth 4 stars: no safe in the room, no refrigerator, no air conditioning, and the shower is mounted on top of the bathtub and doesn't have a hand shower. The bathroom is small and outdated. At 200 euros a night, it's not good value for money. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special, the staff were friendly, and the housekeeping was efficient.

05/02/2026: €40 for 2 pizzas and a bag of chips. Outrageously priced for what is bang average pizza. Dough is grand but far far far too much cheese.
