Fig Tree Restaurant in Newmarket on fergus

We stayed at Dromoland and ate at the Fig Tree. The menu choices were great. Much more casual than in the hotel which we preferred. The staff was friendly & attentive. The food was very good.

Easily made a dinner reservation online and were seated quickly. The space is quite cozy and beautiful, with views of the golf course. Service was a bit on the slow side, but we were not in any hurry so enjoyed the view and company. We had the fish and chips, salmon filet and soup of the day. Everything was served hot and delicious, and they even surprised our guest with a birthday dessert. We did not stay at Dromoland, but if you do, The Fig Tree is a great spot to enjoy a wonderful meal and cocktail.

Fantastic food, very friendly staff.

Unbelievable place on grounds of the castle and then you can walk to the castle and work off the meal.
