14/07/2025: Great service and location. Breakfast has good made to order options including vegetarian options. Rooms are comfortable. Staff are experienced and very helpful.

21/05/2025: Friendly and central hotel in Lahinch with great value for money. The staff organised overnight storage for my bike, even carrying it in and out! Room was perfect and excellent breakfast with full Irish options, including vegetarian version. Lots of options nearby for food and the beautiful beach to enjoy the sunset!

01/11/2025: We had a great experience at this restaurant inside Shannon Springs Hotel. The food is very good quality and freshly prepared. The staff are polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The bathrooms are kept very clean, which is always a plus. There is free car parking available, and the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: The service and atmosphere is excellent here. We had a family meal here after bringing a family member to the crematorium and I have to say that the staff were beyond helpful and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend The Old Lodge Gastro Pub

11/09/2025: Great atmosphere, Martin (the landlord) made us feel very welcome, the food was delicious, a toastie one night, Pan fried salmon another & than our night there was specials on. R.beef, chick & bacon, 2x pan fried salmon & a steak burger, all came with veg & pot's and all was simply delicious, couldn't fault the food, the service,the atmosphere not even the prices. Put it on your list if you're visiting Kilrush x

29/09/2025: Great hotel in a fantastic location. We had a fantastic trip to Lahinch in September 2025. The hotel is location 5 mins walk from Lahinch but in a very quiet location. The host (Thomas) was great and we had a lovely breakfast each morning with homemade brown bread. Will definitely be back.

03/09/2025: Proximity to Lahinch Golf Club and town pubs is a big part of what makes this place great. Rooms are small and dated. Thomas the proprietor is service-ortieted!! Stay here every time I go to Lahinch.

19/10/2025: We visited this restaurant as a group of eight and were really looking forward to it after hearing and reading so many good reviews. The food itself was great — everything we ordered was tasty and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. From the moment we arrived, there was no friendly greeting, and throughout our visit, not one staff member smiled or made us feel welcome. Our orders were taken without any warmth, and no one came to check if everything was okay or if we wanted more drinks. The staff seemed grumpy and uninterested, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable. It’s disappointing because the food was good, but the lack of customer service really brought down the experience. Sadly, I won’t be visiting again.

11/10/2025: We had a very pleasant meal here, one steak one fish. Service was lovely, efficient and timed well. We had a table with children next to us and contrary to other reviews the children were treated well. Would return

16/05/2025: We thought we would love this place based on the other reviews but two upset stomachs later, we’re very disappointed. My husband had the Cajun chicken sandwich and I had the sticky barbecue chicken sandwich. The flavor was ok but did not meet expectations after having nothing but perfect meals all week in Ireland. We had indigestion within a half hour of finishing our meal which only got worse as the day went on. Four Pepto Bismols later, I definitely can’t recommend this restaurant.

19/10/2025: Just walked in off the street and felt like home. The owner and staff invited us to a rowing contest. If you are looking for that spot to relax not worrying about Drama or how your hair looks. They will welcome you home

06/09/2025: A group of us from out of town stumbled across this friendly, welcoming bar while celebrating, and wandered in due to the "Live Music" sign. It's bigger than it looks, and the bartender we had that night is lovely! The music was great, lots of country classics, space to do a bit of jiving, waltzing or the quick step, and the singer that night took requests. Just don't wander in expecting to stay for "just the one," stay a while and soak in the atmosphere!
