24/07/2026: Food here is decent. The staff as other people have said are really nice. Great for Evenings where you don't want to cook yourself. Chips and Pizza's are my go to.

06/05/2026: Went full vegetarian this time. Had a delicious biryani with raita sauce and pakora. Both were plentiful in portions and very tasty and full of Indian flavour and spices. Arrived as advised and was at a good temperature. Really enjoyed.

01/05/2026: I stopped there for a quick lunch but they're selling items 50% more expensive than other McDonald's. 15.40 for 9 chicken selects??? You really think you are a restaurant don't you? And as a bonus, staff can barely speak and the place smells like old burned oil.

28/04/2026: Surprisingly enough this is the best McDonalds I’ve been. My boyfriend he is carnivore and I’m vegetarian and both option were absolutely delicious. The fries were as fresh as it can get, not sure why it had bad reviews

05/07/2026: My wife and I visited one evening while staying in Lahinch because they were having singers and Irish dancing and of course some pints of Guinness. What a great night the music and dancing was amazing. Some of the best Guinness I have had while travelling around. Friendly and polite staff. We had an amazing time and got to experience some great Irish hospitality. A night to remember.

12/07/2026: Great spot for a bite to eat! I had Wok fried beef with a BBQ sauce, plenty of fresh greens with and rice. My Partner got the Duck with Plum sauce and was very very happy. Would recommend!

03/06/2026: Delicious, fresh, tasty and the food is served piping hot...bog potions in the mains, huge menu selections and can adjust to your likes and dislikes...very friendly staff each time I've visited... Comfy seating and bonus star for the free icream you can have after your meal.

07/05/2026: I came here with my last €10 hoping to get myself some nice food THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! I ordered a spice bag the chicken contained 0 chicken as it was just batter and hard the chips may aswell of been from Lidl or even cooked a week in advance I am very disappointed I will not definitely not be returning what a waste of food I would of been better getting a microwave meal and betting the rest of it STAY AWAY!

10/03/2026: We have eaten in and have had food delivered. We were really happy on all occasions.They couldn’t have been nicer and more professional. The delivery arrived extremely fast even though we live quite far away. I would highly recommend the Shannon Palace to anybody. There’s so much variety. the food is delicious and very well presented. Thank you so much for being so lovely!

25/07/2026: Pros: Cheap, fast service, good food for the price. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: It gets a bit busy on Saturday mornings, and there's limited table space if you're eating in. We got breakfast for five adults and two toddlers for about €60, including three full Irish breakfasts, one half breakfast and a scrambled egg for the little one.

19/05/2026: Superb food and service. We were travelling towards Kilkee and rang ahead for our choice which was ready for collection when we passed through Kilrush. If you like this style of traditional chip shop food then don't pass Coffeys in Kilrush.

16/05/2026: The host was amazing! Eddie definitely made our night memorable. The lamb was really good, but the monk fish was definitely the best I ever had (it’s a most try). The pavlova was alright, however it was advised to try the vegan mousse, which retrospectively we should have followed the advise. Never posted a review, but everything was so great that felt the need to. PS: we had the mussels as a starter and it was amazing!!

01/04/2026: I was attending a wedding in hotel Doolin and I had the opportunity to have the breakfast at Glas. It was absolutely outstanding. The pictures speak for themselves. I had the smoked fish and it was one of the best breakfasts ive ever had. Superb service.

03/06/2026: Overall, the hotel is nice. However , the location isn’t ideal if you want to be within walking distance of anything fun or cool. It’s on a golf course so it’s very relaxing , but boring. As far as the rooms, super outdated and inconsistent. We booked two rooms, one of them came with water and all the towels you would need. The other room didn’t have any water , and only two towels were provided. If you have to stay here in a pinch it’s okay, but I wouldn’t book here again. Not horrible, just not my favorite.

01/06/2026: We booked a last minute stay directly through the website as it looked on the surface to be excellent value; family of 4 for one night, bank holiday weekend, with breakfast for under €150, and access to the pool, which was our must have for visiting with 2 kids who love a pool. Lobby area is stunning, wide open and beautiful chandelier. We had a bit of a wander around and found that the ballroom area also was beautiful. It does feel more like a golf course with a hotel. We ate dinner in the bar with the kids; service was slow as it was very full with what seemed like both locals and hotel guests (positive sign) but not enough staff, but we got there in the end, and it seemed decently priced as well, which is good because the restaurant part did seem a bit excessively priced, and without the bar menu option, we absolutely would have eaten elsewhere. Breakfast the next morning was also good; not a massive selection, the usual fry up, 3 cereals, toast and pastries, but all good. The coffee was not good though, that needs addressing, as it was clearly granule coffee, and definitely too many granules, more like tar. A couple of things werent perfect with the fry up - fried eggs were all overdone, tomatoes a bit underdone, but overall it was good and filled a hole. The bread selection and sausages and bacon in particular were lovely. The pool in very convenient, all within the hotel itself, with changing rooms, showers, large pool, kids pool area, jacuzzi, all in good/great condition, and id go so far as to say the sauna is in excellent condition. The steam room was definitely struggling with the steam element, but it was ok. Kids had a blast. The room itself - this is why its so cheap. We stayed in room 106. Despite all the positives, the food, the pool, the lobby area, the room is a let down. The rooms are old and tired, and need updating. The carpet is musty, the windows old and a bit moldy, and the beds a bit lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathroom is very tired; mold between tiles, stains in the tub, leak at the toilet. The biggest issue was two silverfish in the bathroom which to find was a big surprise, pointing to that there are probably a lot more. Must be living under the tub. I know how terrible these are to get rid off, but it has to be prioritised. No doubt they will, and I did immediately let the receptionist know, and she was going to get someone to attend to it immediately, but the kids were asleep so said leave it till tomorrow when we check out. The room wasnt clean. Found things under the desk and around the perimeter. I know its always rush rush rush to turn a hotel room around, but more care needs to be had with the rooms. Pics attached of the dirt/dead bug. So a mixed bag; good food, nice lobby, decent location, and Ive stayed in much worse, but to move it back to that next level, it needs a refurbishment of the rooms as soon as possible. The kids were happy and didnt know any better, and we made some great memories, but my experience is 'its fine' rather than 'definitely stay here'.

12/07/2026: Very friendly service. The food arrived quickly. Unfortunately, it was the worst pizza I've had in years. The dough was like a regular supermarket pizza base. All the ingredients literally fell off the pizza, along with the cheese. The pizza was dripping with grease, and even though the ingredients looked fresh, the soggy dough ruined everything. 2/5 food, 5/5 service. The beer wasn't cold either, or rather, it was just pulled out of a draft. The restrooms are in dire need of renovation...they're terrible.

28/06/2026: Absolutely disgusting the prawns came straight out the freezer into the pan with all the defrosted juices all over it smell of fish off it bad aul spot

10/05/2026: Splice of Blight - 1/5 Chips drier than Gandhi's flip flop - genuinely impressive how moisture-free they were. The "battered" sausage arrived completely naked, not a hint of coating. Half pounder looked questionable and tasted worse. The whole place is grim. Save your money and your stomach - go literally anywhere else.

07/07/2026: My daughter has food requirements. When the staff were asked which icecream were gluten-free she was told I don't know. I wouldn't know that. You would think if she didn't know she would ask someone. The staff were unhelpful and rude.

07/07/2026: Management really need to have a proper talk with their staff, they are rude, dismissive and snarky to customers who asked a simple question about food content. I used to be a frequent visitor when in the town, but no longer, we may be passing trade but a holiday town depends on that.

10/11/2025: I've stayed here several times and it's always been an absolute pleasure, from the moment you walk in the door. Friendly staff, good food and a fantastic location, so close to the beach.
