24/04/2026: Caesar salad was not worth the price. Seafood chowder was good. Cash only when we were there for lunch, their machine was broken - wish they had told us before we sat, never a good surprise.

26/06/2026: Food amazing, Staffs ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and so kind, treated so good everything was amazing. Was even able to tweak menu so chefs can make special things for me without tweaking price since i hate veg and only like carrots

03/09/2026: Awful experience today after coming for 5 years. We paid 48 euro for 2 fish and chips with drinks and curry sauces, fair enough as everything goes up in price. My fish was rotten, bad smelling and tasting, we told the staff. A chef half my age came out and stood over us asking ‘what is wrong with the fish’ as if telling him it was gone off wasn’t enough. He proceeded to tell us very rudely that this is ‘how fish taste like’. In my whole life I have not been served rotten fish and told that it’s my problem and I should eat it as it came this morning. Does coming same day means it cannot be gone off?? I have never been treated by any restaurant like that ever anywhere I have been to and this young man will find out the hard way some fish is spoiled when it arrives. Needless to say we won’t be going there again and want to warn others. Staff seems different every time we go there and you just cannot maintain quality with lack of training and bad attitude, finer establishments fell on that hill once the tourists clear out and locals get burned.

24/05/2026: Room 29 is not suitable for guests. There was a heavy, stuffy smell in the room. Fortunately, the window could be opened to air it out. Unfortunately: the kitchen ventilation exhaust was located right in front of the window. Besides the smell of frying, it made quite a lot of noise. We asked for another room, but were assured that the kitchen would close at 8:00 PM and wouldn't reopen until 8:00 AM the next morning. Well, in practice, that was 9:45 PM and 6:30 AM (!). But even when the ventilation was off, things weren't right: the small terrace where guests or staff could smoke a cigarette or make a phone call was directly under our window. And unfortunately, this was done regularly at night as well. In short: refuse room 29. The hotel management really needs to do something about this; such an unsuitable room detracts from the entire stay. It is a real shame, because the location is good, the people are nice, and the breakfast is good.

12/05/2026: I would gladly give the food stars. My room was still awaiting renovation, but it was clean and we lacked nothing. A charming hotel, just as you'd expect in Ireland. Super friendly staff.

11/04/2026: Room were nice and cosy,hot water took some time to come, Rooms have no sound proofing, breakfast was sad and really uneatable, nobody ever answered phone at reception, Reception staff can be over worked, tried / grumpy.

27/03/2026: We had food here.It was very nice.The house Chardonnay was poor and the man who seemed to be in charge was really smarmy so much so I jokingly asked him was he a Kerry man looking for business.But as I said I enjoyed the food….we didnt go back today.Returned to Lahinch a couple of months ago.The food here was top class.Big plates of perfectly cooked food.Exactly what you need after long walks.We will be back soon and will eat here everyday

21/07/2026: I was at the Stella Maris tonight and to say it was disappointing is an understatement. A party of 7 (2 paying adults though) and the food selection was nothing extravagant. Chicken and chips 🍟 (3 adults), lasagne (adult 4) and 3 kids meals. €11 for the roast breast but for an adult the same chicken is €18. Out comes the serving and the chicken is very lonely on the plate. Nothing else initially but then comes "sides" of chips. Not a mains portion in my opinion. You'd pay €6 less per head elsewhere such as Naughtons Yard and equally as good there. To describe it was a rip off is apt as it was nearly €20 (for 4 of the party of 7) more expensive than an alternative which was better for 5 of the party of 7 the night before. Never again will I go there for food. As I stated to the barman (give a customer value and they come back. Exploit them and you lose far more custom long term. He was offended I might just tell him give customers value for money through better portions or reduce the prices.

05/08/2026: Food is very good, but we ordered off of just eat the food took 35 minutes longer than it said to arrive the food arrived cold it’s a shame as the guys inside are very nice and delt with accordingly, just eat is at fault as any time we order from anywhere it never arrives any bit warm, I would suggest you collect it yourself for the best experience

26/08/2026: Had breakfast here with family,tried about 4 diffrent things from the menu.Food was good but definitely a little space for improvement,the salmon and creme cheese crepes need work,very bland they breakfast bap also lacking a little.Full irish was good.Served by a younger fella who was friendly.

18/08/2026: Went here with my husband who was in a mobility scooter couldn't get in the door it was too tight. We asked could we have our food at the tables outside, we were told they don't serve food outside. Not very wheelchair/ mobility scooter friendly.

10/08/2026: Food was delicious. Portions were huge, so we took leftovers home. Staff were friendly and service was amazing. Would definitely go back!!

06/08/2026: Uninteresting, mass-produced food of poor quality. The quantity doesn't make up for it. One of our worst experiences in Ireland. Avoid it.

14/06/2026: This used to be a great spot for Sunday mornings, but lately the lack of management really shows. Staff aren’t trained and don’t seem to care. There’s no sense of customer service or accountability here anymore. It’s disappointing to see a place I once liked run like this. Will not be returning here.
