The best restaurants in Clare

15/05/2025: Came over from England and was told this was the best chinese in the area, me and My partner really enjoy a Chinese so was really looking forward to this. We got the beef in black bean sauce, spring rolls, chips, chilli garlic prawn with veg and wontons. Unfortunately it was not up to par, the beef was way to strong and the other bits just didn't have enough flavour very average takeaway. Considering we payed €28 we weren't impressed!

15/05/2025: We got a take away before during the week that was delicious but this last one was on a busy saturday night and fell short of nice the duck with the pancakes were over cooked and hard to chew , disappointing.

06/05/2025: Service was very poor here by management - we had an issue with our meal - a fly crawled out of the salad and onto the fish. We reported it to the trainee waitress who took it away back to the kitchen and did not return to our table once to apologise or anything and completly ignored us after. They must have sprayed fly spray as there was another dead fly on the table. When we requested the bill from another waitress the fish was still on it and I explained the situation again and she said she would let a manager know. The fish was removed from the bill but we felt they didnt believe that the fly was in the food even though the trainee waitress saw it and carried it still on the plate crawling back to the kitchen!!! Management should have came and apologised and we tried to get their attention times but were ignored - very poor service for the price. Will not be returning.

19/01/2025: Como siempre, un servicio absolutamente fabuloso. Teníamos una mesa junto al fuego. El gerente y el personal eran muy atentos. Muy razonable precio y excelente comida. Definitivamente vale la pena.

04/05/2025: Staff are so lovely, we got pancakes, coffee, juice and croissants. Visited this cafe with my 6 year old niece, she was given a colouring page with crayons she could bring home! Bathroom available.

04/03/2025: Halfway between Dublin and the Cliffs of Moher, a very beautiful discovery. Very nice hotel. The rooms are not the most modern but are clean and comfortable. The staff is very attentive. The hotel also has massage and bath services which we did not have the opportunity to try. The restaurant is excellent with traditional cuisine at reasonable prices. The setting is very warm with its large fireplace. Breakfast is rather simple compared to other 4-star hotels but very good.

14/01/2025: Absolutely best cod always at Coffeys. Wife raves about their scampi. It’s a bit expensive but quality makes up for that. I’m glad I live forty kilometres, round trip, from them so it’s always a treat and never disappointes. Keep up the great work.

02/03/2025: The food is just terrible, you can’t eat and cook in the rooms, there are no refrigerators and microwaves, the chef does not allow you to take something from the kitchen to the room. This is only a kitchen, I am silent for the rest.

18/05/2025: With only here to come to before bag drop we sat down asked for menus, looking for drinks but given food menus. One decided to order food, went to bar to order 4 drinks & a hotdog charged nearly 50 euros on card then someone came to tell us kitchen closed refunded in euros (considering we here leaving) & nothing said when menus given or while ordering & paying. Take away bit was open so ordered a toasted sandwich & a panini charged 18 euros for it, stone cold & full of grease, a stale sandwich from whsmiths is better value

15/02/2025: Ok..look as substandard food goes it's definitely what you're looking for. But let's be honest.Is pre- prepared, greasy garbage what you really want?Don't we get enough of that in Shannon to be fair? What TownCenter needs is a GOOD CHIPY...Something that makes two things well..BURGERS & FRIED FRESH COD WITH CHIPS THAT ARE CRISPY ON THE OUTSIDE AND FLUFFY ON THE INSIDE.Whoever does that will get rich overnight.

13/03/2025: Just want to say myself and 8 lads from Manchester stayed last week from Fri to Monday, some of the bad reviews this hotel is getting is wrong I honestly can say this is a great place to stay the rooms were spotless, beds clean and comfy with all u need iron etc towels, shower gel And the breakfast was unreal loads of choice and was presented in a lovely way The staff were very friendly, and accomadating, the only little down side was the disco was a little loud but to be fair they do tell you that We will defo be back again also in a great location as well for pubs restaurants etc Thank you all to the Queens hotel

12/03/2025: Excellent location. Rooms were clean but cold, no mirror in room or hairdryer. Reception staff very friendly. It was noisy until early hours but Hotel advised prior to our visit that would be the case.

12/04/2025: I would like to share my experience from today at Bollywood Temple Restaurant in Shannon. We were a group of four and had ordered Paneer Karahi, Adraki Mushroom, four coriander garlic naans, and rice. Unfortunately, when the food was served and we began eating, we realized that what was supposed to be Paneer was actually chicken. This was especially disappointing as we had specifically planned to eat vegetarian today in observance of Human Jayanti. We immediately informed the staff, and while they did offer to replace the dish, the replacement unfortunately lacked flavor and was quite unsatisfying. Feeling disheartened, we decided to stop eating and headed to the counter to settle the bill. The gentleman at the counter was polite and understanding—he initially said we didn’t need to pay, but we insisted since the food had been served. Eventually, he offered a 50% discount, which we accepted. While we appreciated the gesture at the end, the overall experience was very disappointing. As a regular customer, I had always enjoyed dining here, but after this incident, I don’t think I’ll be returning or recommending the place to others. It’s unfortunate that such a trusted spot let us down on a day that was especially meaningful to us.

12/05/2025: Massive dissapointed to not recieve simple order and than reng about it been told , come in to get it will be ready by the time you come back ?! Than when my husband arriwed they didnt have a clue what he is talking about ?! 🤯 and waited another 15 minutes !!!! Lack if training and communication with a lots of staff in wich obviously have no clue what they are doing

18/03/2025: Kebab was disgusting. God knows what they put in it. You can tell this stuff is processed meat & god knows what else.. Plus the prices are way to expensive. Never again.

22/12/2024: Had this takeaway about a year ago and got it again last night. I was pleased to find that the standard has only been raised from the already very high standard last year. We have eaten in famous restaurants such as Dishoom and the Indian dishes offered in Mr. Kebab can hold their weight against any. Pleasant driver and food arrived in good time. 10/10
