14/06/2026: This used to be a great spot for Sunday mornings, but lately the lack of management really shows. Staff aren’t trained and don’t seem to care. There’s no sense of customer service or accountability here anymore. It’s disappointing to see a place I once liked run like this. Will not be returning here.

03/05/2026: For a start my beans were burnt to shit. Service was poor with one of the employees saying obnoxiously loud “make sure these lads pay” referring to me and my friends. I watched a waiter man handling my black pudding with his rotten dirty hands. Food took over 40 minutes to come which in today’s society is just not acceptable. I would seriously consider going anywhere but here this should be a last resort option only thing saving it was the half Daycent sausage 😉

28/03/2026: Came here for brunch. Lovely menu. We had the pancakes. Good value for money and was so prompt - no waiting around for the food but also not being rushed out. Pleasant staff.

09/05/2026: I was trying to order food and the guy on the phone asked for my adress, i gave him my air code and told him my adress then he started rambling about random things that didnt have anything got to do with me. He asked me do i have a parent with me and told me he cant deliver to me if i didnt have a perent with me. He discriminated against me and over all he was a very rude person and i dont recomend this place to anyone.

28/06/2026: Fresh squeezed orange juice, great coffee and the bakery is top notch. Scones are the absolute best! Do yourself a favour and give this place a try.

17/07/2026: I ordered a steak medium well and it came out burnt. I asked to speak to the manager a person called Paddy came out and was extremely rude. My God I never meet a person to act so rude to the paying costumer needs to get a different job because do not know how to work in a restaurant do not go ther if you want good food and service that you are paying for paddy thinks you’re getting it for free

12/07/2026: Staff where very nice food was ok but the owner an old guy extremely rude me and my family had our food and desserts and my baby would not eat anything there because she is allergic to fish so I went and got her a takeaway baby pizza as we were leaving and I was waiting for my mum to come out of the bathroom the owner told me to go out and eat the pizza in the road and leave right now i was extremely embarrassed Iam 9 mouths pregnant we were finished our food payed him over 200€ I was just waiting for my mum . Do not go to this restaurant if you have kids because they do not like kids

02/06/2026: Ordered wings and samosa at 12:10am. Picked it up by hand 15 mins later. Food was hot and tasty. I knew that I was ordering late night takeaway food. I did not expect 5 star dining - i got what I paid for, quickly and with friendly service!! The samosas sause was very flavorful. We are passing through on tourist trip from/to USA so would like to say a big "HELLO" and hope that writing or getting a bad review is the worst of your day. GOD bless Bill and Liam Doherty

06/05/2026: Did it as a takeaway through Just Eat. My previous experiences with Big bites have been some what okayish. This time it was very quick and maintained a good temperature in its delivery. Garlic mushrooms, Veg Samosa and Chicken Dum Biryani were this reviewer’s choice and all were very tasty. (The latter- the chicken just felt off the bone, yummy). Well recommended!!! Update May 2026 Onion rings were a bit bland but my goodness, do these guys know how to make great vegetarian pizza. Just enough base, so you can actually taste the vegetable components of the pizza. A 9 inch pizza is more than enough for one person. The 12 inch with chips and drinks works perfectly for two. Expected delivery time was spot on. Good prices compared to its competitors in the area. Well done guys!!!

The staff were super warm and welcoming, and the whole place had a relaxed, comfortable vibe that made the meal even better. Everything felt cared for, from the service to the dishes themselves. 05/07/2026: On the banks of the Shannon, RiverSpice is an absolute must. I went with my girlfriend, and it's a genuine fine dining experience, perfect for grabbing a romantic dinner and taking a walk down to the river during the summer months. Must-see sights paired with must-have food. Portions are also truly generous, ideal for large families too. What impressed me most is that this feels like a real step up from the usual Indian takeaway, the plating, and the attention to detail all say "fine dining," even in a small Clare town. Naan was fresh and blistered, rice was fluffy, and the staff were warm and clearly proud of what they're serving. Clare isn't short on charm, but it's been missing a restaurant like this, one that treats Pakistani and Indian cuisine as something to be savoured, not just delivered in a bag. Can't recommend RiverSpice enough. Already planning my next visit.
