10/08/2026: This was the best fish and chips I had throughout our Ireland trip.
10/08/2026: The fish soup was heavenly, the pasta with chicken was also superb, very well seasoned and cooked to perfection.... Well, that's about it, the fish was a 3+, the tortilla, as my son said, he could make better at home, and the roasted meat was good but nothing to rave about. If it weren't for the peppercorn sauce we ordered, it would have been very poor. It's a shame, because it looked really promising.

07/08/2026: A great experience to see the cliffs from the water. Be careful if you're prone to seasickness. It's quite rocky.
06/08/2026: Eventhough the view is great, and the paving is nice if your mobility is limited, do NOT go here if you're anything like me and enjoy a scenic hike! Not worth the money, there's more people than moher cliff. Just follow the trail from Doolin or Pollboy, from pollboy surfers path is actually still accesable and you can get an amazing view of the best part of the cliffs. The walk to doolin was also well worth it, can't say the same about the 15 euros i spent on this.

22/07/2026: Fantastic shopping centre with a great selection of retail chains and small independent traders. I particularly like their charity shop which is always well stocked and with friendly staff.

Friendly staff.
09/07/2026: We were here in July 26 on our way through from the ferry to Lisdoonvarna. Food was lovely, perfect portions and really home cooked. Had lovely tender roast beef, yummie fish and chips,
and chicken Maryland.
Staff were very friendly and we will definitely come back.

Spruce Goose Restaurant
01/02/2026: Spruce Goose has always been my favorite place in Wellington. Knowing it will close on the 8th of February fills me with a deep sadness. It carries so many beautiful memories with friends and family. I will truly miss sitting there, sharing moments, and drinking coffee.
Big thanks to the staff I will Miss you all
01/02/2026: Was a bit disappointed. Heard it was closing so we thought we'd go have another wonderful meal there. We got there for 5pm, and was told that the majority of the food on the menu wasn't available. So we decided to go somewhere else instead. 😢

22/05/2026: DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - it wasn't worth €1 - the TV didn't work, the sink stopper was blocked so I had to clean my teeth in the toilet, the window was facing a wall and couldn't be opened, the door also didn't open, maintenance had to fix it & I had to be let out - we were travelling for work on a wednesday night and the disco went on below until 4am - it was unhygienic & unsafe.
The rooms they advertise are from a different hotel - the rooms in the hotel are grubby & outdated

29/10/2024: I have always liked going to this place as it seems a little more up market than the usual Shannon Industrial places you go to eat lunch. Today I was not happy. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, waitress asked what salad do you want and I said whatever salad is available except egg.. it was a pretty clear instruction. we were the only ones there at the time as it was just turned 12pm. What I got was a toasted ham cheese and onion sandwich! not even close to chicken. I told the waitress straight away and not even a "sorry our mistake" was uttered. she then went about ordering the sandwich again and from the distance she called over and said "do you want lettuce" I said yes please, I want white bread, no butter, and what ever salad is available with chicken as long as there is no egg.. I sat and waited until 12.26 and had to actually go ask the waitress to see if my sandwich was ready as I had not been waiting almost half an hour. she slowly walked off to the kitchen and came out with it straight away.. again it was not what I ordered, I got a dry chicken and lettuce sandwich which I was now forced to eat as I was already running late to return back to work. When I complained as I was paying she said "its a make you own sandwich, you have to pick what you want in it" to which I told her I DID PICK WHAT I WANTED .. "I asked for a chicken salad sandwich, when you asked what salad I said all of the salad whatever is available" ... again I didnt get a sorry or any kind of reply just !do you want your receipt".. I wont be eating there again if you cant even get a chicken salad sandwich right! ... I must add, I have ordered this before and it came out quickly and perfect, todays issue was with the waitress who ordered it wrong twice..
