10/10/2025: Excellent coffee. All of the sandwiches are good as are the pasties de nata. The rest on offer looked superb as well. We went back 3 times

26/09/2025: Fantastic true Italian cuisine! The quality is good enough for a formal restaurant setting with cloth tablecloths. The pasta was true el dente, the sauces homemade, the flavors exquisite. Purchased a pizza for take away also. I fully recommend this restaurant.

27/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic, authentic Italian food. Plenty of vegetarian options e.g. pizza, pasta, suppli (rice balls with cheese). The pizza dough is perfect and fresh and plenty of mozzarella on top. I had spaghetti puttanesca without anchovies and it was delicious! Honestly, do not waste your money going to chain "Italian" restaurants, go here if you're in the area. They provide full waiter service. There's plenty of free parking outside.

29/08/2025: We had an excellent dinner at Naughton’s Bar in Kilkee. Our group of five showed up with one more than our reservation allowed, but Elaine handled it with ease and got us seated quickly without fuss. The service throughout the evening was prompt, friendly, and clearly well organized — the whole team is on point. Before dinner we had the pleasure of chatting with Paddy Collins behind the bar. His knowledge of Kilkee’s history, his great personality, and his warm hospitality set the tone for the night. He’s a gem. The food itself was absolutely delicious — starters and mains alike were top-notch, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Combine that with the very fair pricing and you get excellent value for money. Naughton’s is truly a testament to what makes Kilkee special: great food, genuine people, and welcoming service. Big thanks to Elaine, Paddy, and the whole team for a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back!

28/08/2025: Arrived and it took 10 minutes for someone to take our food order (no biggy) the food was excellent I would recommend the burger. Nicest food in Kilkee. However when we were trying to leave (we understood we had our table for 2 hours) we struggled to find someone to get the bill from (for 5 mins) A waitress came over and asked us nicely to leave as she had another table coming in. We mentioned that we never got the bill and she apologised and left. 5 minutes later my grandfather goes up to the bar to pay the bill as still no sign of anyone dropping it to our table. After the bill is paid my grandfather returns to the table and briefly gathers his things (in his late 80s) before the manager comes over and asks us to leave again? Just left us with a sour taste in our mouths. I will of course be returning to naughtons as I have since I was a child with hopefully better communication between staff management and customers.

30/08/2025: Charming, old-school rooms and a historic lobby (check out the tiles on the floor). Highly recommend if you like unique, hotels that are just scruffy enough to be interesting.

24/07/2025: I ordered online and stayed i would pay with cash, on arrival I realised I did not have enough cash with me and asked to pay by card, which was refused, I argued with him as I could see the card machine, but he continued to refused me paying by card. I eventually walked out with no food, ive never seen the likes of this, I will not be returning.

11/08/2025: It's not a cafe, it's an Irish Tale.... Update to my last year's review, this place keeps surprising me in the best ways ever. I went with family early yesterday and I enjoyed being the first there (that's why no one in photos 😊☺️) and I enjoyed a great cup of tea made with so much love. And the art ceramic collection was beyond imagination, I couldn't resist and bought three pieces for my study room... the staff are gorgeous Irish ladies that made my day with their kindness and sweetness... thier excellence is consistent 👌👍they also provide art pottery lessons 🖌🥣please continue to read my last year's review below... Last year, I went with family and friends to this lovely cafe based on a recommendation from a friend, oh my goodness, what a place. I don't know how to start. Wow is a tiny word to describe it. I was amazed to the point that I forgot to take photos of the food. The place is very cosy, comfortable, and full of art. It's a cafe that you will enjoy food and coffee, but your soul will be satisfied with the art and books around. I got mushrooms soup and some sandwiches 🥪 so delicious and made with love. Then I got a cup of cappuccino and it was a decent 👌 cup, Italian top class quality. Then I couldn't resist the cakes, I had a jam sponge cake and brownies. My friend ate three pieces of cake. I just couldn't believe how great the food was. The place was so clean and the couch beside the fire was magical. There was a bookshelf full of a big selection of books. Art paintings on the walls, very positive messages everywhere. Then, the two ladies running the place, two Irish angels, very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us and they made sure that we were well served. I felt like I am in their home, not a cafe. If you are in Ireland or justing visiting, then you must go there, a lifetime experience. Next time, I will take photos for sure.

09/09/2025: Absolutely delicious breaded chicken breast (one was curry and one was parmigiana) with cooked cabbage, carrots and a huge portion of Irish mashed potatoes!! Okay so the chairs on the patio were a bit warn but if you want some delicious home cooked food at a reasonable price..this is your place. We found our servers to very pleasant and friendly although we only saw them to order and when we got our food.
