04/10/2024: One of the best bakeries we have ever visited. We are from Spain and stopped by after being drawn to it. Upon entering, we were welcomed by a charming German couple. They were delightful, and the place had a warm, family atmosphere that made conversation enjoyable. They were wonderful and even prepared coffee for us to take away. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the pastries and coffee. We highly recommend it for anyone passing through the town, and we will definitely return one day.

19/10/2024: This is a must stay, The setting is so lovely. The hostess Jillian was so warm friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us. The room was very comfortable and the pancakes with apples was fabulous. She had a nice wine selection as well and we ordered a delicious cheese platter with it

07/11/2024: The Edge in Lahinch was a letdown from start to finish. The decor felt uninspired and tired, lacking any warmth or charm. For a restaurant on the coast, it failed to make the most of the view, with awkward seating that missed the mark. The food, unfortunately, was just as disappointing. Dishes arrived lukewarm and bland, lacking any of the freshness or flavor you’d expect, especially at these prices. Seafood, supposedly a highlight, tasted anything but fresh, and the seasoning felt almost nonexistent. Service was inattentive and slow, with staff seeming indifferent to the experience. For the high prices, I expected far more professionalism and attention. In short, The Edge promises a premium experience but delivers subpar food, lackluster service, and a dull atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money here.

26/05/2024: The Food emporium Ennis did the catering for a recent communion - the catering menu was amazing and both the service and quality/taste of the food was incredible - nothing short of splendid - thank you! They even provided plates cutlery and bamborees -everyone asked us who did the food and there was no leftovers!

02/11/2024: Just popped in for a coffee. Laid back atmosphere and decor.

30/10/2024: We went for brunch, Great value, really nice menu. Did half portions for the kids. Waitresses were really good, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

03/11/2024: From the initial booking to the moment we left, the service here was top drawer. The staff in every position were brilliant, the room spotless and the food perfect. Location is excellent too.

23/10/2024: Nice Hotel in the centre of Ennis, The room was good only the central heating was on too high and i couldn't find a way to turn it down. There was good security to get to the rooms and the maid was very friendly. The public areas were beautiful, a nice bar and restaurant. We enjoyed a nice breakfast again the service was friendly. As an upgrade management may want to consider a Nespresso machine in the rooms with complimentary capsules which most Hotels of this calibre see to provide these days.

23/06/2024: Had a gorgeous meal for my birthday in pollock &porter. Thoroughly enjoyed, wonderful food, great value for a quality meal, gorgeous cocktails served in beautiful glassware. Will definitely be going again.

04/06/2024: My partner and I ate here over the June Bank Holiday Weekend, and all I can say is that it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. We started with the crab claws, which were so beautifully cooked and full of flavour. We struggled to choose our mains because we wanted to try everything, so my partner had the Sole and I had the duck, and we shared. Both meals were delicious and between the amazing food and beautiful wine we left there very satisfied. I cannot recommend this fabulous restaurant enough. I will certainly be back. We were delighted to meet the chef and pass on our thanks to him ourselves. Such a lovely talented man. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

09/07/2024: Simple and good. Very friendly staff! Watched football on TV with great sound. We had two meals, the burger which was great and the steak sandwich which unfortunately was disappointing to me as the steak was not so good... as it is listed as one of the specialtys of the house that should've done better! But had an overall great evening.

20/10/2024: 6 of us met up there, some of us hadn't met in a year. It was a great choice of place to eat. Staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend it and great value .

09/11/2024: Heidi took care of us for dinner tonight & she could not have done a better job. Grilled salmon entree was absolutely perfectly prepared. Many dessert options. Swedish cream, which I've always loved, was 1 of the choices & it was fabulous!!! Brought home a piece of carrot cake for breakfast tomorrow. We'll definitely be back!!!

07/11/2024: Excellent evening of great wine and food! Our server and host were extremely friendly and informed to help guide us through our orders. We enjoyed a variety of delicious plates including halibut, filet, garlic mash, a few appetizers, a libation and a bottle of local wine. We closed our evening with the pumpkin cheesecake cake! It was dense, rich, moist, generous and a great seasonal treat. All of our courses were prepared and cooked to perfection and the ambience was lovely! Thank you for a memorable evening!
