19/10/2024: This is a must stay, The setting is so lovely. The hostess Jillian was so warm friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us. The room was very comfortable and the pancakes with apples was fabulous. She had a nice wine selection as well and we ordered a delicious cheese platter with it

27/03/2025: Lovely pub. Cosy in the front, especially in winter months. Turf fire is great. Outside area is beautiful and colourful. Colm is brilliant

06/01/2025: Atmospheric and very cosy bar in the center of Ennis. Nice staff, genuine Irish vibe and not too crowded.

08/11/2024: Got takeaway as I saw the spice bag picture online and it looked lovely. However the spice bag I got was not a spice bag. Bag was full of stale chips coated in a seasoning and very few pieces of chicken. There was no spices chili or spring onion. Was not impressed.

13/02/2025: Such a great experience here always. The staff are amazing and so so friendly, always looking after us and the kids whenever we're in. Came in with my daughter this morning for brekkie and they couldn't have done more. Always a smile, banter with the locals and great food :)

13/03/2025: Set nice hotel bar and restaurant. Lots of people from surrounding areas come. Great food that comes out quick and good selection of beer. Live music from 8:30pm

16/03/2025: Great pizza and setting. Busy when we arrived but the staff were very accommodating and even got us a table on a busy bank Holiday. Definitely worth stopping after a trip to lahinch or the cliffs

05/03/2025: Lovely spot, fab atmosphere and a great new addition of sauna and plunge pools. I would love to give this place 5 stars because the vibes are so good, but unfortunately our server on Sunday afternoon messed up every one of our coffee & food orders repeatedly without apology, despite us being one of the only tables on the day. Between all of the mistakes it took about 40 mins for our pre made sambos and cold coffee to arrive. Hopefully it was just a once off!

31/12/2024: First, when we walked into this restaurant they never kept record of our booking and there were 11 of us, but they were very helpful in the moment to get us a table. Secondly, We greatly enjoyed our starters and main course but we were let down by the wait for our dessert and the dessert itself. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening and the only letdown was the dessert.

15/03/2025: Nowhere will compete for sitting with a coffee and traybake watching waves crashing on the stunning headlands, after a dip in the Pollock Holes. Fantastic little spot and the food has never disappointed either. I've sat for many an hour in here and brought groups here too over the years. Perhaps my favourite coffee spot on the whole of the Wild Atlantic Way (and I've done all of it). (I remember when this was a pitch and putt course that we used to frequent every week in the summer. I was gutted when it turned into a cafe, but actually my adult-self now thinks it's the best thing ever! Not surprised at all that it's started doing wedding things, as it would be a dream venue to shoot photos on the Diamond Rocks, Amphitheatre etc nearby.)

03/11/2024: Nice place with a great view of kilkee. The blue pools when the tide is out are legendry. With cliff walks and magnificent sea views, the Dimond rocks are great to come back and relax to. Even if it's a tea and scone.

27/02/2025: Lovely pub and atmosphere. Service was efficient, however the food was quite disappointing.

31/12/2024: The Old Ground is one of Ennis' oldest hotels. Friendly staff, good food. Can get busy in the early evening. They don't take bookings in the bar.
