Cassidy's Pub in Carran

Finally back in the family after being leased out last year, the pub is now highly recommended again! We were there on Bank Holiday Monday; friendly service, good food, and very fair prices.

So, how can I put it?! You walk in, and you don't want to leave. You have to paint a picture of the place. A pub lost in the middle of nowhere, cars everywhere, so it's packed. You push open the door, and that's where it all begins. Laughter, conviviality, music. Waiters with smiles... We didn't book... Suspense! Wait a minute... A table is set... We're seated. A simple menu, but it's very good. We order a hamburger with local meat and vegetables, and a pint of beer. We finish with a proper Irish coffee, absolutely delicious. The musicians are really going for it. We connect... Our English isn't quite up to scratch, unfortunately. Time flies by too quickly, we have to leave... tomorrow the road awaits. I promise myself I'll come back someday... I love Ireland, far from the big cities

We stopped by hoping for a quick pint before a hike in the Burren. They happened not to be open that day, but the former owner (her son runs it now) was outside pressure-washing, and she paused her work to tell us where the trailhead was, and even went inside to grab us four water bottles she told us we’d be glad to have—and we were! A pub set gloriously above the turlough, and run by lovely people.

Beautiful pub / restaurant, in the heart of caran in the center of the Burren, spectacular views , a must stop off on your way to your next destination. Highly recommend 👌

Best, freshest fish in batter I've tasted in a long time. Salad on side was beautifully dressed. Warm goats cheese starter was delish too. Service was warm & friendly. Nice coffee too! The views are fabulous. Great parking.

Had a delicious meal. Homemade bread, pastries, and other items. Very friendly service. Beautiful view. Nice atmosphere.

A nice, typical Irish pub with a cozy bar and a large dining room. The staff is quick and friendly, the food is delicious and plentiful. They have a good daily menu, plenty of parking, and a large terrace.

Nice restaurant. The burger is good. Limited beer selection. Very good Irish coffee.

Great food and view. Best fish & chips! So fresh and tasty. However would suit for 2 days, couldn't finish all. Very friendly staff. Will definitely come back.
