01/07/2025: Super service, Thibaut took care of us the most amazing way, he advised us well on the menu, including plentiful vegan options, was dynamic and smiley, he did the job 100%. And the kitchen: really fresh and really good! Very large menu, everything we ordered was delicious.

10/07/2025: A shout out to Hilary and the staff. The food was excellent and the staff were even better. We had fish and chips, bacon and cabbage (with great Irish mashed potatoes) and vegetable curry. All of us would recommend what we ordered. A lovely place to go with beautiful framed photos and art work. If you like Irish heroes and/or Greyhounds then this is the place for you. A great traditional pub. Thank you, Hilary, for making me feel at home. You are the best and I will come see you again.

06/07/2025: I was expecting something really special here, it had all the charm, and I’d heard some good reviews. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. It was a bit of a squeeze, despite the restaurant being nearly empty as it was at the beginning of lunch service. They put us at a small table at the back of the restaurant, two of which had been added when they shouldn’t have been as there wasn’t room for them. The menu was quite good and prices reasonable, so we were pleasantly surprised, but when the food came, the chowder was only okay, but the disappointment came with the chips/fries my husband had with his chicken Kiev. They were poor quality, but the oil obviously had to be changed. Overall, I probably set my expectations too high for this place.

12/07/2025: A very nice restaurant where we stopped for a drink. The terrace and veranda are very pleasant and offer a lovely view of the waterfall. The dishes we ate were mouthwatering! Don't hesitate to visit the vintage store on the ground floor, which is definitely worth a visit!

08/07/2025: Food was excellent as was the service and welcome. Very much enjoyed our visit. Pork Belly is very highly recommended. Yum!

04/05/2025: Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room was rather old-fashioned but it fit well with the charm of the hotel. The bathroom was very large and everything was clean. The staff was super friendly. From reception to breakfast, everything was very accommodating. The place was also very idyllic, it was a 5 minute walk to Bunratty Castle.

04/05/2025: We visited the Town Hall on April 29th. We found the staff to be so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Special mention must go to staff members Natayla and Ainé for their outstanding warm and friendly service. We had family home from Australia and the were blown away by standard of care and service we received on what was a busy evening in the restaurant. We would certainly be recommending the Town Hall at Old Ground hotel to anyone visiting Ennis.

26/06/2025: We had a great dinner! Our server war super friendly and helpful! We shared the mussels as a starter - just delicious! As a main we had the fish pie and the grilled salmon, both very good! Recommend going there!

28/06/2025: I dined here at the weekend and had the best experience. The staff are fantastic; very, very professional and welcoming. The decor is nice and modern, and the food is without a doubt Michelin star worthy, more than worthy, as you can see from the pictures. Well worth a visit here. My only gripe was the cocktails, they were not traditionally made.. for example the whiskey sour was missing bitters and the old fashioned was fizzy. I have never had a fizzy old fashioned, and I would not have ordered it had I known it would be carbonated. The drinks menu should reflect what cocktails you have on offer, in addition to your own spin on drinks. However, still 5 stars, I had a lovely time here.

27/06/2025: I never expected to eat so well behind that facade. We stopped by by chance after visiting the cliffs, and the food was spectacular. Don't expect a typical pub... this is a high-end restaurant... Enjoy!

04/07/2025: It's fine We had a problem with our meal ( two of the meals ) which I brought to the attention of two wait staff. The first decided to listen and "tell them in the kitchen" but then not come back to us at all! The second said "you are the only ones with an issue today". Completely unacceptable customer service , in a time when eating out has become somewhat of a treat. Don't know if I'd rush back.

05/07/2025: The place is beautiful but the trek is closed and that's a very bad thing. They should advertise this and let people know. Also, tickets are kind of expensive but if you leave your car in one of the close by towns and hop on the free busses everything is free, the ride and the entrance...

05/07/2025: Absolutely stunning!!! Could spend all day here! Recommend not waiting until last minute to use the facilities, as the cue (on both floors) can be quite long!

29/06/2025: I could not recommend Tea and tones highly enough. From the moment you step inside, the cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. And the FOOD is to die for.What really sets it apart, is how welcoming they are to families, taking my 2 young girls there has never been of any problem. The staff always welcome you with a smile. If you're in the area, Tea and Tones is an absolute must, you won't be disappointed.
