27/07/2026: Very nice old hotel. Lots of character. Very nice staff and great breakfast. If you like modern hotels this is not for you but if you like old world charm even if a little rustic then this is the place to stay. Great location in the heart of Ennis walking distance to everything the town has to offer however, inside the grounds it is quite secluded and feels private. Our room was great, huge with A/C and if if the decor was a little dated it was still great.

22/06/2026: Our stay at this hotel has been amazing. The staff is incredible, especially Colin at the poets corner bar made our experience top notch. We really appreciate him and all the staff.

08/09/2026: We had a lovely experience at Milano! The food was great and the service was excellent. A special mention to Samuel and Rose, who were both absolutely lovely, friendly and very attentive. They made us feel very welcome and looked after us so well. We’ll definitely be back! 😊

22/09/2026: We’ve eaten here many times and will continue to come back. The food is delicious. We generally get the Nepalese thali but have a tried multiple different things. Food is delicious and service is excellent. The owner is always asking for feedback and genuinely interested in providing the best experience. We will be back.

20/09/2026: I don’t normally leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I was deeply disappointed with my experience a couple of weeks ago. Shortly after arriving and being seated, I noticed someone (who I believe is the owner) clipping his fingernails at the table closest to the kitchen. Although this is off putting enough, the bathroom was also SO unclean, with no soap available. The water containers had black mould growing on the lids, and although I pointed this out to the waiter, another one without a lid was brought. We then saw the lid that had been taken off and placed on another table (photographed below) which also had mould growing. It’s such a pity to have to leave a bad review, but I could not enjoy the food knowing how unclean the environment around us was. The staff are very friendly but unfortunately this does not make up for the lack of hygiene. Hopefully this can improve, as I would love to see more varieties of food available in Ennis.

17/09/2026: Absolutely the best lamb I have ever had. The chips were awesome as well. The girls loved thier burgers too. Both later wished they had ordered the fall off the bone lamb.

17/09/2026: Highly recommended pub in our opinion. Without a reservation, we waited a little while. Eventually, we shared a table with a young Italian couple (my wife also speaks Italian). Near our table, some regulars were celebrating a family reunion. In this festive, musical atmosphere, we chatted pleasantly and enjoyed our dinner. Our evening was a success.

10/09/2026: Having "escaped" Doolin because all the pubs were packed, we returned to Fanore, near our B&B. We ate very well in this very well-kept pub, with a varied menu and a very friendly owner. Fair prices. There was no live music (I don't know if there is on other nights). An excellent alternative to Doolin. Recommended!

08/09/2026: Adorable little pub in a really cute, cozy blue house with coastal views that would draw tears from a rock. Descended upon them in an excursion bus and they managed exceptionally well despite the vast number of tourists who couldn't follow basic direction. Pints went down almost too easy and chefs should be eligible for Thai citizenship with the unexpectedly delicious massaman curry and rice. Fish and chips were sublime. Also had the soup of the day (carrot and ginger) and I swear it hugged me from within. Bartender was a grumpy uncle in a really cool, chic seaside way.

10/09/2026: After a long journey to Ireland, this was our first stop, and we were so thrilled to find delicious food, great and friendly service, and above all, that unique, authentic Irish atmosphere at Half Barrel. If it weren't so far away, we would definitely be regulars :-)

05/09/2026: Very friendly local pub serving excellent food. Staff were more than willing to adapt the menu to accommodate dietary needs. Absolutely no problem and all with a big smile and superb service. Great recommendation from our Airbnb host nearby.

16/09/2026: Milk used in coffee is cheap mass produced.. use and support local if you are also hoping to be supported as a small local business. I dont know where the eggs are from… are they local are they free range? Pancakes were nice. Coffee took very long time to come and served in a chipped cup which is un-sanitary. Overall it wasnt bad but i think there is a lot more they could be doing to be worthy of 5 stars.

11/06/2026: What a great place!! We spent a couple of days here. Everyone from the start were so friendly, casual, cool, yet efficient and on it! Great food, great service and a great pint of Guinness. Off street parking at the back, accessed down the left side of the building and room for maybe 9 or 10 cars. Shauna and team were a delight! We'll see you guys again!! Five stars all day long ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

11/06/2026: Stayed here for 2 nights and couldnt be happier with picking this place. We were debating between a few options and am so glad we went with this B&B. The town is just large enough to have a bit of anything you are looking for, but small enough that it has quite the charm, is easy to walk to every store, and is quiet in the nights. The B&B room was fantastic with a very comfy bed and the rooms also came with complementary water bottles. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning. Shauna was very personable and gave us tips for our adventures including which way to drive to experience other activities and what to do to make the most of our want-to-do list. The only challenge was the parking lot, which is immediately to the left to the lodge. It's very small with one way in and out, and it's difficult to see incoming traffic when leaving. However despite this all, we didn't run into any problems. Sheena also offered that if we ever came back and didn't see any spots to let her know and she would move her car, as well as offered an alternative nearby option to park our car. Thrilled with our entire experience here.

16/08/2026: Wonderful and affordable Indian food. Staff were excellent especially the young man Kai. Will be visiting again, one of the premier restaurants in Ennis.
