The best restaurants in Clare

30/11/2025: I was so lucky to have the Roadside as my local pub for over three months: the staff is extraordinary and the place itself was my safe space after work! (The coziest Bar with the best and cutest Barman around: thank you Andrew for always having a pint and a good story ready for me) When I spoiled myself with one of Peters lovely meals, Bridie, Mayuko and Paola always made sure I had the best experience: they are kind and wonderful people and the service is fantastic! So if you have the chance to wine and dine in the roadside or to listen to a few tunes of a trad session with a good pint: do not hesitate! :)

23/11/2025: The food here was great. The portions were very good also. It was my first time eating oysters and they were very nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

05/12/2025: We stopped in for a bite to eat and were very pleased. The restaurant has several cozy dining rooms, a bar, excellent service, and a high standard of food preparation and presentation. The back room has a unique interior with huge aquariums and live fish.

27/11/2025: We recently had dinner here and well it was very enjoyable, it was a little expensive and I thought the food had a few areas it could improve on. The fish and chips was very nice with a great crisp batter, but the fish itself I thought was just okay. The oysters were drowned in a Vietnamese dressing which was nice, but I couldn’t taste the oysters. My wife had the monkfish which she said was ok but the curry dashi did not work that well. Great service and nice atmosphere. I would try again.

19/11/2025: Dodi Cafe offers really delicious coffee specialties and a great breakfast burger. Cozy place, friendly service. Highly recommended!

17/11/2025: Really good! Had a great, proper espresso and the loaded sourdough that I had was amazing, so flavourful and well spiced. It was a real standout meal on my Ireland trip!

03/11/2025: We visited as a group of 7 whilst visiting Co Clare on a short break. Our experience was mostly very good, the chowder was excellent, the vol-au-vents, pasta dish and fish were very good, however the burgers were dry and chewy, edible non the less but the only downside.

08/12/2025: We stumbled on this place while looking for dinner options. We loved the atmosphere. Food was good especially the burgers we ordered. We felt welcomed and got to experience the Irish hospitality.

23/11/2025: Service was really disappointing. Emily (in a tight blue blouse and blonde hair) rushed us, spoke sharply, and then handed me a container to pack my own main, when I asked can I take it home. which felt downright rude and unprofessional. Definitely not the level of service I expected. Do better.

11/09/2025: Good place to eat if you fly into Shannon, it's about 2km from the airport, the food is quite varied and good, it's like a motorway service area buffet, you choose what you want and pay at the till, they don't serve alcohol and the price is quite reasonable

26/11/2025: If i could give minus stars i would. This place is ridiculous. Oedered on their website they never accepted so i went in and asked if they would accept it or reject so i can get a refund. They told me they cant access the website to do so. I asked if they could make my food anyway as i paid and they said no i would have to pay again. They told me my money wouldnt be taken. They werent even apologetic about the issue and today i woke up to see they have taken my money and i never even got the food? Ridiculous behavious. I will charge it back with my bank but the fact they didnt care is insane for a business and to lie and say it wont go through. Will never order again. Be warned dont use their website they wont fix or give you your food.

19/12/2025: Very authentic Italian place with nice cocktails and cheese/meat boards. They have a lot of different items on the menu to choose from. The lady from Abruzzo Is very friendly and welcoming.

09/11/2025: Absolutely lovely place to visit, the woods surrounding the gardens are beautiful and freely accessible with lots of trails. The walled garden is lovely and they run seasonal events there too.

10/12/2025: I enjoyed the most extraordinary seafood chowder at this authentic seafood restaurant on a recent tour of Ireland! The chowder had clams, scallops, squid and fish in a lovely cream soup. The fish cakes appetizer was excellent also.

30/11/2025: Always love visiting the CornerStone. Food is great, service is top notch, and the pints are perfect.

14/12/2025: Favourite cafe in Ennis. Delicious soup and matcha latte. Baked cheesecake is also lovely. Staff are welcoming and the cafe is dog friendly. Thanks guys!
