28/05/2026: The best Bruschetta Caprese I've ever eaten! The antipasto was also delicious and fresh. Very authentic Italian cuisine. I went back to Passatempo for lunch today. This time I had the Ragu Bolognese and it was simply outstanding.

09/11/2025: Absolutely lovely place to visit, the woods surrounding the gardens are beautiful and freely accessible with lots of trails. The walled garden is lovely and they run seasonal events there too.

11/05/2026: I arrived (with friends) a day before our Rick Steves tour was going to start. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend that they have a document with local resources (laundromat, pharmacy, bank, etc.). [We were given directions to a laundromat and instead got a mini tour of the city. Finally found one!] It was great that there was a facecloth in the bathroom. Food and the many options to dine was very good. We were there on a match day so the city was a bit overcrowded, but what fun to be a part of it. Loved that it was a quick walk from the train/bus station.

02/05/2026: Went in when it wasn’t very busy. Menu was poor and not as good as I expected. I got a roast and so did my partner. Our kids got pizza, goujons and my teen got a curry. The turkey and hams, goujons and curry came out in decent timing but we were waiting an additional 7/8 mins for my youngest child’s pizza. Some of our food was cold when it came out.

17/04/2026: Excellent food! We had roast beef and fish (cod) and chips. All done amazingly well. Warm friendly service. Will be back when we are over that way in Clare next time. Highly recommended.

11/05/2026: This place was great. By far the best Pub in town. My friends and I were traveling in for a couple days and didn’t end up getting in until later than anticipated. Although we came in close to close the employees were very welcoming and took great care of us! I will definitely be back.

11/05/2026: The two of us, along with our toddler, had a wonderful evening here. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a typical Irish pub – cozy, welcoming, and totally relaxed. You immediately feel at home. The food was delicious: the fish and chips were perfectly crispy and fresh, the mussels were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Our little one had nuggets with chips, which were also a big hit. Add to that a few beers – simply a perfect evening all around. We especially appreciated that ketchup and mayo were offered free of charge, which isn't always the case these days. The total cost came to around €60, which is absolutely fair considering the quality, the portion sizes, and the ambiance. A definite 5 stars – we'll definitely be back!

16/05/2026: A lively restaurant. A constant flow of people. The service is efficient and, despite the stress, manages everything with ease and appears relaxed. Despite the hustle and bustle, we were seated at the bar for a few minutes without a reservation. Here we could browse the menu and order our first drinks. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious.

06/05/2026: Perfectly adequate meal for us who are not geared towards golf in a golf town. Server was new and eager to help.

14/05/2026: Fast food served as quickly as you'd get at a fast-food restaurant, which is suspicious for a restaurant. The chicken tenders are made fresh that morning and reheated just before serving: they're therefore far too dry (I had to try twice to be sure it was actually chicken). I didn't think it was possible to mess up the chowder: well, you can! It's just a matter of throwing frozen vegetables and pieces of fish into milk with powder for a very gelatinous texture! Tasteless. Avoid it unless you're in a hurry. Free parking right across the street.

12/05/2026: Lovely restaurant on the Wild Atlantic Way. Friendly service, and the food arrived very quickly. One minor drawback was that they were using old menus, so the fish and chips order still listed coleslaw as an accompaniment, which wasn't actually served.

25/05/2026: made reservations which was a good thing! so many celebrations made it a loud place, but we were able to chat.

23/05/2026: Interesting place, good Guiness, good service. Most of our meals were good. However, advertising Fish and chips as being fresh Haddock is untrue!! We got Hake! And it was overcooked so went a bit like cotton wool in your mouth! Bad idea just to increase profits as Hake is a cheaper fish!!

First of all, congratulations for the kindness and friendliness of all the staff (especially the waitress, who spoke Italian and "pampered" us throughout the evening, even giving me a gift of a whiskey I really enjoyed), and above all, congratulations for the excellent cuisine: exceptional dishes, the fish soup was FABULOUS! A great discovery: highly recommended!! Thanks again to the staff and the waitress!! Congratulations
