23/03/2026: Had a lovely catch up with friends. We had the charcuterie board pre ordered and really enjoyed every bit of it with a bottle of wine. Lovely atmosphere, music and staff. Thank you to all. I look forward to trying the pizza next!!

22/03/2026: Went here with my family and we had pizza. Pizza was gorgeous all together Ive been raving about it to everyone, I got served by a lady named maeve I think it was. She gave us fantastic service and constantly made sure we had our drinks and were okay. She genuinely was so friendly to myself and my family. Will go again great stuff all together!!

11/09/2025: Good place to eat if you fly into Shannon, it's about 2km from the airport, the food is quite varied and good, it's like a motorway service area buffet, you choose what you want and pay at the till, they don't serve alcohol and the price is quite reasonable

09/11/2025: Absolutely lovely place to visit, the woods surrounding the gardens are beautiful and freely accessible with lots of trails. The walled garden is lovely and they run seasonal events there too.

12/03/2026: Absolutely charming! Old Ground Hotel is a must visit when traveling to Ennis, County Clare, Ireland.

11/03/2026: This is an exceptional hotel in the classic mould - deep carpets, elegant wallpapers, original artworks and outstanding service. The breakfast is great and the various dining options are very good. I feel positively cocooned!

14/03/2026: What a fabulous restaurant!! Wow. The staff treated us like old friends. The menu is terrific—lots of options, very reasonable prices. The food is fresh. The nachos are pure artwork! Art from local artists give the interior a unique charm. The wine options were marvelous. It’s more than a restaurant, a memory making experience! We will return!!

03/03/2026: The most organized group I've ever seen. The food was incredibly tasty, delivered quickly and with friendly service. If you're feeling anxious because you think you won't be able to eat, don't worry, they're a breeze. My heartfelt congratulations to the entire staff.

03/01/2026: Had the mussels, the crab cake with smoked fish, the lamb and the panfried hake. The crab cake was the best part of the meal for sure, although the others weren’t bad either.

04/12/2025: Went here for food and drinks on a trip shortly after getting married this summer. The food and service were incredible. We loved every moment of it. When we told them we'd just gotten married, they gave us a free drink. So generous. Will be back every time in the area.

The portions are huge, and the value for money is excellent. The staff are incredibly welcoming and professional, making us feel right at home. Great service and a lovely local feel—highly recommended!"

06/01/2026: Not before time am I writing this review. Go there most Saturdays with my friend and have never been disappointed. Steak sandwiche and chips are absolutely delicious. The excellent staff are amongst the best i have encountered. 100% recommend that people try this marvellous place.

15/03/2026: Had a lovely lunch here. Staff very attentive. Food was great with good portions and caters for children also.

04/03/2026: After a long day of walking along the cliffs of Moher, we decided to pop down to lahinch for a late lunch. Here we stumbled upon Danny Macs. Some of us to the daily special (fish chowder and buttered cod.) while the rest had standard menu options. Overall we where quiet surprised by the quality of the ingredients which was pristine, with the Guinness being quite goof as well. All the fish and meat was of high quality. With ribs that came straight off the bone. Everything severed with generous portions. One place which wasn’t as good was the Chips, which where a little undercooked and lacked that needed crunch. As well as one of us would have preferred more seasoning in the burger and for it to be less simple. Also a little too much salad with each dish.

31/01/2026: Lovely pancakes and excellent coffee nice atmosphere and great service.

22/12/2025: A bit on the expensive side. Scrambled egg coffee and pancakes over 30 euro Dogs are allowed in which I felt uneasy about in a small area where food is served. I went in for an irish breakfast which looked good online only to be told the menu has changed and no longer available. Unsure if I would return 7/10

31/03/2026: Stayed and dined at Oar Restaurant and rooms in Doolin on Sunday evening for the fifth time and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is amazing and a wonderful dining experience, the Kieran and his team are welcoming, professional and attentive. I have introduced many friends to Oar, and the feedback from everybody has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you Kieran for another wonderful evening.

22/03/2026: Beautiful, relaxing and fantastic food. Staff and Kieran made our stay so memorable. Such a great gem on the wild atlantic way. Good service, great wine selection and a lovely way to spend an evening out.
