Fantastic food, I had the seafood chowder and my wife had the wagyu beef burger. Both of us agreed it was the best we have had. Service was friendly but slow - I got the feeling they needed one or two more people. They seemed pretty stressed and it took a long time to get the bill after our table was cleared (30ish minutes). Love the old bar feel - you can tell this place has been open and well-loved a long time. Live music was great.

We had two very pleasant evenings at the Roadside Tavern. The fish from the daily specials was especially delicious. The service was friendly and the pub is very cozy. We spent the second evening enjoying live music and a cider or two at the bar. A wonderful last evening of our holiday.

Surprisingly upscale food for the name of the restaurant. Delicious and everyone was very nice!! Their brewed in house beer was great! Would love to return!

2nd time here. The food is of the highest quality. The piece of fish given in the fish and chips option is so generous and it’s that generosity and the quality of the grub that makes this my favorite pub/restaurant in Ireland.

Have to say I couldn’t recommend this pub more. I was on the search for an authentic local and this was it! Peter and the staff are the best around, I’d skip Doolin and stay here my whole trip if I knew how good it was! I will be back for the food, I’m a hospitality manager and blown away by how hidden this gem is in the county!

Rathbaun Hotel

02/10/2025: Myself and my two friends came for the weekend from Dublin and all three of us would highly recommend this hotel. Call greeted us on arrival and was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, had fresh towels and nice and warm room. The breakfast and food was outstanding. The service we received in the restaurant was excellent. The girls were so friendly and i would highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful little town with the nicest people in it. The cleaners also refilled the little kitkats every morning in our coffee station which was such a lovely touch. We will defiantly be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.
