2nd time here. The food is of the highest quality. The piece of fish given in the fish and chips option is so generous and it’s that generosity and the quality of the grub that makes this my favorite pub/restaurant in Ireland.

Have to say I couldn’t recommend this pub more. I was on the search for an authentic local and this was it! Peter and the staff are the best around, I’d skip Doolin and stay here my whole trip if I knew how good it was! I will be back for the food, I’m a hospitality manager and blown away by how hidden this gem is in the county!

Proper decent boozer. Guinness was very good. The musician provided a great set and finished with a song about the boozer.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. I had the pie and mash and I’m still salivating thinking about it — it was that good. The pie was packed with soft, juicy chunks of Irish steak, wrapped in perfect pastry. The mash and gravy were absolutely spot on — proper, comforting, and clearly made with care. The service was exceptional — attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming. You really feel looked after without it ever being too much. The whole place has such an authentic, cosy, comfortable feel, and the live traditional music at the end just made the evening even more special. A huge thank you to everyone — 10/10.

Went there on a quiet cold rainy Tuesday night. The food was great. The staff is very friendly and even the locals we talked to as well. Great dinner experience.

We had a fantastic time at the Roadside Tavern. The "Burren Black" beer was excellent and paired perfectly with the delicious fish and chips we had! What better way to end the evening than listening to the musician who played guitar beautifully and had a lovely voice? The waitresses and waiters were very welcoming, everything was perfect, thank you!

We stopped here on February bank holiday weekend and am I glad that we did! Smoked salmon and Gouda Mac & cheese was a religious experience. Beef and chicken burgers came with tasty fries, dipping sauce and possibly the best onion rings I’ve ever had. All served with a smile and a warm welcome. Will definitely return sooner rather than later!
