Roadside Tavern

16/06/2026: Went here for dinner while visiting Lisdoonvarna. It was very busy for dinner but we were lucky enough to only wait 10 minutes for a table. The food was so tasty and flavoursome. They also brew their own beers which are great! We came back for lunch a few days later for the beef & stout pie & mash which didn't disappoint. Definitely recommend booking ahead during busy times.

Sheedy's Hotel & Restaurant

05/06/2026: A very nice little hotel.
The owner is very accommodating and helpful in planning activities for the day.
The ambiance is reminiscent of a manor house, complete with a fireplace and wingback chairs in the lobby. Overall, it's very lovingly furnished with great attention to detail.
There's a nice pub with local live music a short walk away and a few dining options in town.
25/05/2026: Booked a Burren walking tour with Martina this May to see the wild flowers and had a fantastic weekend trip - one of the most enjoyable in many years!
The hotel is immaculate and comfortable and Martina is the perfect host - genuinely friendly and everything perfectly organised.
However the highlight for us has to be the food - dinner on the evening we arrived was the best we have eaten in a long time and the breakfasts keep us going all day!
Martina even had a lovely packed lunch ready for us to take on our walk.
Our walk was with Shane Connolly who not only has amazing depth of knowledge of everything about the Burren and it's history and nature but was also great fun along the way.
Can't recommend this experience and Sheedy's as a base highly enough - genuine five stars all the way!

02/10/2025: Myself and my two friends came for the weekend from Dublin and all three of us would highly recommend this hotel. Call greeted us on arrival and was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, had fresh towels and nice and warm room. The breakfast and food was outstanding. The service we received in the restaurant was excellent. The girls were so friendly and i would highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful little town with the nicest people in it. The cleaners also refilled the little kitkats every morning in our coffee station which was such a lovely touch. We will defiantly be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Irish Arms

16/05/2026: While staying in the area we visited the Irish arms once for lunch and next day for dinner while the food was good the service from one of the barmen was absolutely appauling. Everything was a bother. It was like we shouldn't have came in and God forbid ask for a drink that really was asking too much never encountered a more rude and unwelcoming attitude from a barman .Wish l had spent my money elsewhere.
26/04/2026: We stopped in here on our way back from the Cliffs of Mohrer to get a bite to eat. After two weeks, one in Ireland and one in Amsterdam, this was THE best meal I had!!! I had the roast of the day - turkey and ham - mashed potatoes and veggies with cabbage! My friend had the Guinness stew and said it was great!

Wild Honey Inn

17/10/2025: What a hidden gem! Kate and the staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived (past check-in time) to the moment we left. We, unfortunately, had no luggage as it was not put on our flight from Glasgow. Kate went out of her way to make us feel as comfortable as possible given the situation. We had to alter our original plans of hiking (due to lack of clothes/gear) and Kate spent a considerable amount of time giving us suggestions for an alternate plan. We took her recommendations and were able to enjoy many sights and delicious foods and a great ferry trip to our next destination. The breakfast at Wild Honey was Absolutely Divine!! One of the best breakfasts we had over our 13 day trip. Such a great experience and we will be returning! Thank you Kate!
14/08/2025: Literally the worst place on earth. They treat their staff like scum and keep insulting them and dragging them down. They are very unfriendly and inwould not recommend to even visit them

The Market Bar

13/05/2025: Hands down a beautiful meal. I was there with my family, in total about 22 people. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived, great service to great food and great value.
To be honest I was expecting the bill to be considerably more than what it was. Lovely food, lovely wine 🍷 great sevice.
If you’re in Ennis and you’re hungry for real food check it out.
06/04/2025: Excellent service for a group of 20 .. clam and friendly service nothing an issue. Food was very generous and tasty I would highly recommend.

16/07/2025: I seen all the reviews and booked 1 night stay, unfortunately I didn’t get good experience . Welcoming people but need to be professional .
Long wait for breakfast though we booked for a slot night before. But good breakfast!
It’s just personal experience depending on how we expect things to be.
Generally, not feel good environment to me .

15/06/2025: Everything is clean, cozy like home and quiet. Free parking, delicious and hearty traditional Irish breakfast. Incredibly nice hostess!
