19/10/2025: We visited this restaurant as a group of eight and were really looking forward to it after hearing and reading so many good reviews. The food itself was great — everything we ordered was tasty and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. From the moment we arrived, there was no friendly greeting, and throughout our visit, not one staff member smiled or made us feel welcome. Our orders were taken without any warmth, and no one came to check if everything was okay or if we wanted more drinks. The staff seemed grumpy and uninterested, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable. It’s disappointing because the food was good, but the lack of customer service really brought down the experience. Sadly, I won’t be visiting again.

11/10/2025: We had a very pleasant meal here, one steak one fish. Service was lovely, efficient and timed well. We had a table with children next to us and contrary to other reviews the children were treated well. Would return

31/01/2026: We had a delicious meal here and felt really welcomed by the staff. Cosy, warm and homely all at once I had the hake & prawns in garlic butter with creamy mash - cleaned the plate! Such a fine pint of Guinness too! Thanks for having us!

17/12/2025: The atmosphere of the place was amazing. It is located in the middle of nowhere (which made it a nice experience of us) and the inside is cozy and well decorated. Great food and service, no complains about it!

22/01/2026: I probably should have gone back in to query the price but my €7.99 Panini and the three items pictured came to €21.23,so my bag of crisps, lemon soda and carton of water came to €13.24. Hopefully a mistake and not the usual rip off we are so good at in this country. Panini was spot on though. Rest of the fare looks good.

08/12/2025: We had a fantastic family stay at Hylands Burren Hotel. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to Aaron, who kindly accommodated a request before our stay and made everything so easy for us. We truly had a wonderful experience and would happily return!

02/09/2025: Had a pint in here and there was a group of men and women playing instruments sitting in the corner. Excellent atmosphere.

24/03/2026: We stayed at Dromoland and ate at the Fig Tree. The menu choices were great. Much more casual than in the hotel which we preferred. The staff was friendly & attentive. The food was very good.

18/01/2026: Lovely place old charm mixed in the new .not to big just inviting. Food was lovely big portions but I'm suppose for the price .the only thing was the vegetables to my liking were not steamed enough very hard to even cut thought them .but overall I shall be back .we went here in the winter time and it was busy .I'm sure you will have to book ahead for summer cause the view's are just stunning off the bay..

10/11/2025: I've stayed here several times and it's always been an absolute pleasure, from the moment you walk in the door. Friendly staff, good food and a fantastic location, so close to the beach.

21/03/2026: Not good went in for scrambled egg breakfast had none but could get an ommelette only wanted toast with got chips not good ommelette very greasy like the potatoe croquette swimming in grease Very dissapointed this morning with sherwood visit again 0

25/10/2025: The food was good, and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the food here seems a bit higher than other fast food options. If you have a larger group, there is an upstairs dining area (it was closed when I was there for dinner). My only real complaint was that the wait time for the food seemed a bit long. I believe I was waiting for about 20+ minutes, and there were people waiting for even more time that had already ordered before I arrived.

05/04/2026: Great ambience. Perfectly situated within 100 yards of the shops and sights of Ennis.

24/03/2026: The beds are amazingly comfortable! The pillows are the perfect weight in my mind. The meals in the pub are very good (Loved the Chicken Gorzons!) Highly recommend the place.
