12/02/2024: They are open late in Kilkee even in the winter. That saved me as everyone else in town has already closed the kitchen around 8pm

11/01/2024: We had a great meal in the Atlantic hotel, very good quality! The staff was excellent. Wonderful Irish meat and fish, we liked the food presentation and they let us in even though we were a bit late.
Great Clare hospitality. The only thing that wasn't so great was the dessert, but in the light of everything else still a five star visit.
06/01/2024: Winter weekend break. Really nice spot. Cozy. Great breakfast.
To top it all, lovely staff.

29/03/2024: This is a great pub that has really amazing food. They are also one of the few places in Ennis you can get a breakfast and one of the only ones you can also have a pint with your breakfast.

Barrtra Seafood Restaurant
08/01/2024: We visited for a late Sunday lunch in early January. Barrtra was as good, if not better, than I remembered. Food was out of this world, we had one fish and one meat surprise; lots from the garden and all local fish and meat. It was a fantastic way to usher in the new year, service was friendly, prompt, and our server was so knowledgable. Couldn't recommend a trip here highly enough, can't wait to go back already.
29/10/2023: Excellent food, efficient homely service in a beautiful part of the country. Bit pricey but well worth it.

01/04/2024: We had a family dinner there after visiting Loop Head. Decent food, nice setting, kids friendly. Nice garden they have in the backyard, although we stayed indoors. I recommend this place. Not sure about the hotel part, we just ate there when passing through Kilkee.

01/04/2024: Great visit to an incredibly warm Irish welcome in a truly unique location. Visited with family for a weekend getaway. From the moment we checked in with Zoe at reception and throughout our stay the welcome was genuine and warm. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast hearty and the evening trad sessions in the bar are not to be missed, but what makes Hylands unique is the location. The Burren can be seen from the front door of the hotel. The local harbour is a short stroll and we actually spotted dolphins a short distance out. Defo a huge summer location, but we found even out of season a great place to visit and we will be back.
02/01/2024: This three star Hotel was friendly, clean and comfortable π Had a lovely breakfast. Late check out was a bonus. The location was ideal to travel the Burren and surrounding attractions. Ailwee cave and Bird of Prey centre well worth a visit.
