09/08/2026: The staff is just fantastic. Last time I was in at launch time not dinner. There tacos arnt on the lunch menu. I asked our server, not a problem I'll get those for you. Such a good place to eat and go to.

30/07/2026: A quiet night in Co. Clare. Evenings when the best thing is a quiet bar, a pint, a freshly made pizza, a session two rooms away, and slow conversation with the bar staff. Larissa told us about the tidal pools at Kilkee. The next day we got on our bikes and cycled there. This is how to travel.

20/07/2026: Pizzas were great. The location was awesome. Has many sections including outdoor, indoor, and private booths.

23/06/2026: As a large society of 55 golfers some of us were asked to sit outside in the sweltering heat outside the back door. The manager said the golf services had not told them we were eating even though we had it booked for months. Our money it seems is not as valuable to them as other countries. Food was OK but very overpriced as was the drink. I will not return to the Fig Tree. The golf course was excellent.

24/04/2026: Caesar salad was not worth the price. Seafood chowder was good. Cash only when we were there for lunch, their machine was broken - wish they had told us before we sat, never a good surprise.

03/06/2026: Overall, the hotel is nice. However , the location isn’t ideal if you want to be within walking distance of anything fun or cool. It’s on a golf course so it’s very relaxing , but boring. As far as the rooms, super outdated and inconsistent. We booked two rooms, one of them came with water and all the towels you would need. The other room didn’t have any water , and only two towels were provided. If you have to stay here in a pinch it’s okay, but I wouldn’t book here again. Not horrible, just not my favorite.

01/06/2026: We booked a last minute stay directly through the website as it looked on the surface to be excellent value; family of 4 for one night, bank holiday weekend, with breakfast for under €150, and access to the pool, which was our must have for visiting with 2 kids who love a pool. Lobby area is stunning, wide open and beautiful chandelier. We had a bit of a wander around and found that the ballroom area also was beautiful. It does feel more like a golf course with a hotel. We ate dinner in the bar with the kids; service was slow as it was very full with what seemed like both locals and hotel guests (positive sign) but not enough staff, but we got there in the end, and it seemed decently priced as well, which is good because the restaurant part did seem a bit excessively priced, and without the bar menu option, we absolutely would have eaten elsewhere. Breakfast the next morning was also good; not a massive selection, the usual fry up, 3 cereals, toast and pastries, but all good. The coffee was not good though, that needs addressing, as it was clearly granule coffee, and definitely too many granules, more like tar. A couple of things werent perfect with the fry up - fried eggs were all overdone, tomatoes a bit underdone, but overall it was good and filled a hole. The bread selection and sausages and bacon in particular were lovely. The pool in very convenient, all within the hotel itself, with changing rooms, showers, large pool, kids pool area, jacuzzi, all in good/great condition, and id go so far as to say the sauna is in excellent condition. The steam room was definitely struggling with the steam element, but it was ok. Kids had a blast. The room itself - this is why its so cheap. We stayed in room 106. Despite all the positives, the food, the pool, the lobby area, the room is a let down. The rooms are old and tired, and need updating. The carpet is musty, the windows old and a bit moldy, and the beds a bit lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathroom is very tired; mold between tiles, stains in the tub, leak at the toilet. The biggest issue was two silverfish in the bathroom which to find was a big surprise, pointing to that there are probably a lot more. Must be living under the tub. I know how terrible these are to get rid off, but it has to be prioritised. No doubt they will, and I did immediately let the receptionist know, and she was going to get someone to attend to it immediately, but the kids were asleep so said leave it till tomorrow when we check out. The room wasnt clean. Found things under the desk and around the perimeter. I know its always rush rush rush to turn a hotel room around, but more care needs to be had with the rooms. Pics attached of the dirt/dead bug. So a mixed bag; good food, nice lobby, decent location, and Ive stayed in much worse, but to move it back to that next level, it needs a refurbishment of the rooms as soon as possible. The kids were happy and didnt know any better, and we made some great memories, but my experience is 'its fine' rather than 'definitely stay here'.

10/11/2025: I've stayed here several times and it's always been an absolute pleasure, from the moment you walk in the door. Friendly staff, good food and a fantastic location, so close to the beach.

11/04/2026: Room were nice and cosy,hot water took some time to come, Rooms have no sound proofing, breakfast was sad and really uneatable, nobody ever answered phone at reception, Reception staff can be over worked, tried / grumpy.

27/03/2026: We had food here.It was very nice.The house Chardonnay was poor and the man who seemed to be in charge was really smarmy so much so I jokingly asked him was he a Kerry man looking for business.But as I said I enjoyed the food….we didnt go back today.Returned to Lahinch a couple of months ago.The food here was top class.Big plates of perfectly cooked food.Exactly what you need after long walks.We will be back soon and will eat here everyday

21/06/2026: Lovely café with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and efficient. Everything was great, and I really enjoyed my visit. Highly recommended!

28/05/2026: It’s a cosy, small place. I really loved the food for its homemade and traditional taste. And exceptional work from the waitress, who was serving everyone on her own with such a brilliant attitude 🇲🇽🇮🇪

13/07/2026: Ordered through the Supermacs app. We got a call after an hour to say our food had been delivered to the wrong house. Then had to wait an additional 30mins for our order to arrive. Food was stone cold when it arrived. Genuinely disappointing. When you go in the food is always so good but delivery is just terrible. This is not the first time this has happened either. We’ve gotten wrong food before and sometimes missing items too. If you’re going in, grand, if you’re ordering for delivery order on just eat so at least you can get a refund!

27/06/2026: Food was over all good and staff were really nice but I found a black hair in my food and my hair is blonde so definitely not my own. NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER WAS WEARING A HAIR NET!!!!! I work in the food sector and hair nets should be mandatory

28/05/2026: I asked for a side salad and i got a big chunck of cowslaw and a bit of lettuce and a sandwish comes with 2 slices of bread and not 3 so next time use only 2 slices.

16/05/2026: While staying in the area we visited the Irish arms once for lunch and next day for dinner while the food was good the service from one of the barmen was absolutely appauling. Everything was a bother. It was like we shouldn't have came in and God forbid ask for a drink that really was asking too much never encountered a more rude and unwelcoming attitude from a barman .Wish l had spent my money elsewhere.

26/04/2026: We stopped in here on our way back from the Cliffs of Mohrer to get a bite to eat. After two weeks, one in Ireland and one in Amsterdam, this was THE best meal I had!!! I had the roast of the day - turkey and ham - mashed potatoes and veggies with cabbage! My friend had the Guinness stew and said it was great!

16/08/2026: The pizzas are good and their delivery time is fast. The place is clean and there's plenty of seating, although I'm not sure how it is during normal airport rush hours. Despite being located in such a busy area, this place does a good job of maintaining the atmosphere of a millennial restaurant. Prices are generally reasonable for an airport, with a standard cheese pizza costing €14 and other more impressive pizzas around €17. Just be sure to read the descriptions of the dishes, especially the drinks, because we ended up (through our own oversight, of course) buying a 125ml Schweppes for €3.50.

08/08/2026: The girl who served us on 8th of August 2026 at 5pm was arrogant,rude and didn’t know what she doing. Table was dirty and the food was brought without cleaning the tables, no tissues/fork was provided. We had to ask a couple of times for that. Would avoid

17/08/2026: NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS & is NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY, I was in a mobility scooter & could not fit through the main door.

25/07/2026: We attended with friends and family after the kilkee run on Saturday 25th of July and the service was so poor, the staff were rude and we waited over 30 minutes to order. To add to it the food when it arrived was very poor. We were served at different times and children were served last. Very disappointed. The 'manager' a male employee was extremely rude. I would not recommend. Not value for money either. My poached eggs were so well done they were like rubber!
