Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis

Historic building. Great location, to walk the streets and discover fun shops, restaurants, and pubs. Fantastic service! Decor is a bit sad and old.

Nice location in downtown Ennis. Smaller rooms. Lots of tour bus coming through.

Great ambience. Perfectly situated within 100 yards of the shops and sights of Ennis.

The beds are amazingly comfortable! The pillows are the perfect weight in my mind. The meals in the pub are very good (Loved the Chicken Gorzons!) Highly recommend the place.

This hotel was part of my Globus tour. The town is small and so is the hotel but I loved it. The room I got was newly renovated with a faint fresh paint smell, in a nice way. The room was sparkling clean. The shower was hot with good shower pressure. The bed was comfortable too. I liked that there was a furnace instead of Central heating because it produces a cozier heat that isn't as dry. It is a few minutes walk to town center, though the stores closed at 6 pm. Breakfast was quite nice- best hash brown and yogurt. I doubt I will ever be in this area again but I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff here are always so lovely and helpful. It's a very nice and handy place to have coffee or lunch if in town or for business as the service & payment is quick. When I was invited for dinner in the Legends restaurant it was absolutely delicious with a lovely Christmas atmosphere and top notch service.

Lovely friendly young staff in the bar last week. Food and service was so professional.

Beds were comfortable. Toilet wouldn't flush. Shower was lacking. Everything was clean though. You could tell though that the place needed a little sprucing up. Just some everyday maintenance would help a lot. It wasn't horrible but we probably wouldn't stay here again.
