09/10/2024: Tuve una experiencia difícil en Shannigans recientemente. Pedí risotto con chorizo y champiñones. Me sirvieron. Noté un sabor y textura inusuales. Me preguntaba si eran mariscos, y asumí que debía ser algún hongo exótico. Sin chorizo. Después le pregunté al personal en servicio qué me habían servido. Era un risotto de mejillón. Me alarmé porque tengo alergia a los mariscos. Afortunadamente no tuve una reacción a los moluscos, aunque pasé varias horas en cierta ansiedad en cuanto a si / cuándo podría estallar. Hablé con el personal en servicio, que se disculpó y me remitió al gerente de turno. También se disculpó y me pidió que le diera mi nombre y número al hotel para que pudieran verme en las próximas horas y días. El hotel no me ha contactado. Mi queja es que es irresponsable y peligroso sustituir un plato sin referirse al cliente. Y muy especialmente reemplazar un plato de carne / verdura y arroz con un plato de arroz y moluscos, los moluscos son conocidos alérgenos y los habría evitado en caso de que provocaran una reacción alérgica. Considero esto como un error muy grave, peligroso y potencialmente fatal por parte del hotel. Hasta la fecha no he tenido noticias de ellos. Para un hotel que pretende altos estándares esto es un grave fracaso en mi opinión.

04/10/2024: Fabulosa comida y gran servicio. Una forma brillante de matar una o dos horas antes de ir al aeropuerto. El servicio fue rápido y amable. La comida y las bebidas eran muy agradables. ¡El pescado con papas fritas fue excelente! Algunas de las otras reseñas parecen un poco malas. Teniendo en cuenta lo bonito que es el lugar, creo que ofrece una gran relación calidad-precio. BTW Robert es fabuloso también

18/03/2025: First time in Spanish point and found it to be a lovely part of the wild atlantic way. A beautiful day for a walk along the beach and then lunch at Johnny Burkes in the Armada Hotel. My Wife wasn't very hungry so just had the soup of the day which was parsnip, she really enjoyed it. I had the roast rib of beef with all the trimmings and it was excellent. Service was very fast considering it was very busy. I'm already looking forward to a return trip during the summer.

19/01/2025: Johnny Burke's bar at the Amada in Spanish Point is brilliant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are welcoming and delightful. The food menu is very good indeed. Spectacular location, spectacular staff.

04/08/2024: Great mix of locals. Very nice place to sit and relax with a pint. Bridget also makes a good Irish stew. Live music from time to time and located bang in the centre of town

03/11/2024: We visited apparently on the last weekday they would be open for the year, and weekday service will continue in January. We got lucky! As you arrive at the Trump International Golf Resort you are warmly received by a finely dressed gentleman at the gate house. He called ahead and announced our arrival for lunch, gave us directions, instructed us where to park. The staff of the bar and restaurant were waiting for us, menus in hand. They were preparing for Halloween and there were lovely arrangements of pumpkins. We were seated at a corner table that had two windows on each side that allowed for a wonderful view of the ocean, beach and a part of the golf course. Started the lunch with drinks, the men had Guinness, and I had what I considered the best Bloody Mary made from fresh ingredients and not a mix. I chose the Salt and Chili calamari, which was on a salad/slaw which was tangy delicious. My husband had the shrimp tacos. Being from Texas we are usually very skeptical of any taco in another country, but this did not disappoint. I stole a few bites, as well as a few of the most perfect French fries which were crispy goodness. The staff were absolutely perfect, the ambiance was elevated Irish pub with a seaside twist. I am very glad we took the chance and drove the hour from the Shannon Airport area. After lunch we strolled the beautiful beach! We had the beach to ourselves which was extra special. From the beach as you look out at the water you can see the Cliffs of Moher. If you had all day, you could visit the cliffs and the Trump Bar & Restaurant. Next time we visit, I would like to spend a night or two at the resort. But for a daytime visit you really cannot ask for anything more!

24/08/2024: Popped in for a drink as we were staying nearby. Beautiful setting, nice bar/restaurant area. Lovely staff, friendly & very efficient.

26/07/2024: The ice-cream is very delicious and the curly haired worker who served me was a friendly face and a diligent worker.

11/03/2025: Cash only, no debit cards. Hot chips, spring roll and 2 sausages €9. Looks clean.

05/03/2025: Probably the worst fish n chips ever…… Simple. I wanted fresh fish and chips. He said the fish was fresh. Ok fish and chips please. The fish was small and dry and could not have been fresh. And they are not chips but frozen fries. Got back and ate some of the fish and threw the lot away…… we stayed hungry.
