Oar Restaurant in

We had a great dinner at Oar (and stay). The rooms were fairly basic, but we were blown away by the dinner. Everything from start to finish was great. The dessert was our favorite. It was my husbands birthday and they even gave us complimentary glass of Prosecco. Highly recommend booking dinner here!

The rooms are nice but no breakfast possible (pub 2 minutes walk), 40 minutes walk from the ferry, so a little restrictive with luggage and rooms upstairs but no ramp for suitcases. Regarding the restaurant, we had an exceptional dinner, worthy of the best restaurants. The service is a little slow but friendly and the quality of the wine and food is there. A must in the region!

Simply one of the best dining experiences, start to finish, I have ever had. Not headed to Doolin? It is worth going out of your way for this experience. You will not be disappointed!

This restaurant was outstanding. If you visit the village of Doolin (highly recommend), a dinner here is a must. The service, the ambiance, and the food were first class. Worth every penny to eat here.

We went there on a day tour to Cliffs of Moher. The food was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. Would recommend!!

We booked a dinner in Oar, and it was exquisite from beginning to end. The menu contains well-rounded and tasty several-course dishes. The wine list offers lots of choices and should suit everyone's taste. The dishes are composed carefully to ensure all elements complement each other to create a unique tasting experience.

A great place for dinner, great food, great atmosphere, great staff. Highly recommended. We felt looked after and every course we had was not only very tasty but also had some surprises thrown in and we would happily return again if we where in the area.

It has taken us a while to write this review but wanted to be sure to sum up the incredible experience we had with Oar. We had our wedding night dinner here in September 2023. From the planning stage onward, Kieran was a consummate host. He was responsive and helpful in helping to make our day wonderful. He gave us useful advice and feedback as we planned our event from abroad and even had custom menus printed for us. The meal was probably the best food we have ever had - so creative, delicious, and surprising! (Our favorites were the tuna tartare and the duck, but everything was spectacular.) Every detail was impeccable and every person we interacted with was so kind. Our guests have raved about the experience and the food. We are so glad that we had the great fortune to celebrate our wedding dinner at Oar, which was such a memorable part of our day, and would highly recommend a visit if you have the chance. Thank you to Kieran and the rest of the Oar staff! We have even talked about making a special trip back just to eat here again!
