12/11/2024: We had two nights stay at Hayfield Manor, to attend & celebrate the Graduation of my daughter at University College Cork. Hayfield Manor made it truly a sense of that special occasion, one wants to cherish and hold dear to. 5 🌟 Stars to everyone & everything. I will be staying there in future.

01/11/2024: One of the best restaurants with great food and wine in Cork. The restaurant offers boutique style fine dining experience. You have the option to do their tasting menu. The food, specialty the oyster, the lamb are memorable. The oyster is fresh, with the shaved ice, it adds an additional layer to it. The lamb is tender like a fish, yet with the crunchy crispy skin, with a bit for chard. The service is excellent, the staff are caring and friendly. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time.

01/11/2024: Fabulous place, great atmosphere. Had the steak which was cooked to perfection, bottle of Argentinian Malbec , followed by the orange cake. Great service too.

11/11/2024: Food was good. Service was flawless. Shout out to Mairead who looked after 16 of us last Saturday night who were celebrating a couple of birthdays.She was professional, pleasant, and so efficient. It is rare to find someone so good in this day and age Jacobs are lucky to have her.

02/11/2024: We went to see white horse guitar club perform, they were absolutely brilliant. Before the concert we had a meal in the restaurant. The food was 1st class, the staff were so pleasant, a happy bunch of people, it was packed to capacity and despite that the service great

02/11/2024: A total rip off… my friend and I shared a cheese and meat sharing platter. 4 slices of very thin salami, 3 pieces of cheese, 2 chicken balls and 1 piece of black pudding sliced in 2… hard bread and not great crackers. €22… the sauce that was supposed to be there wasn’t. We had to ask for it… they were out of it. Crab starter €17… small, not great. (Say no more) I’m over from London, a tourist the city needs. I can absolutely see why Ireland is not attracting the tourists they need. I will not return

05/11/2024: We were staying in Cork city for the jazz weekend and decided to take a walk out to Douglas to Marcello's as I had heard about the vegan menu! And wow..it was amazing! So much choice and the dishes were amazing..authentic, home made Italian dishes! We will definitely be back whenever we are in Cork! A must visit for everyone!

29/10/2024: Can't say enough positive things about this friendly and cosy Italian. Excellent service, amazing food and a great atmosphere in which to enjoy our food and drink.....cocktails weren't half bad either!!
