The best restaurantsof irish in Cork city council

04/04/2024: The restaurant is very well located. The food is good but good without anything remarkable and that will make you come back. Better to reserve because it fills up. We ordered a drink per person and an individual dish and it cost €22.5. What is a detail is that they serve you water without asking for it.

04/04/2024: Had an excellent experience here on a work dinner for c.20 people. The waitress was truly exceptional, managing a slightly bullish group really well, never seeming flustered despite all of our odd requests and always keeping her sense of humour! I’m just sorry I’ve forgotten her name. Thanks for a great dinner

27/03/2024: we were walk ins and the staff were so accommodating it was great! When it comes to the food, the presentation is just outstanding and the taste of the food is amazing. One thing i will say is that the portion sizes are the small side. I would recommend the potatoes to everyone they were out of this world!!

31/03/2024: Polished and stylish hotel, part of the Best Western group. Professional check in staff, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good but avocado was too ripe. Coffee was excellent. Ample parking available. Rooms would be better with a espresso pod machine.

13/03/2024: 4.7 stars. Slight mix up during the reservation by Priceline (for the 2nd time on our trip), but the employee at check-in took care of everything. She was polite, fast, and took care of us. Room was comfy with standard amenities. Bathroom could use a slight touch up of some things. Water temp and pressures were solid. The breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious. It was a huge reason we left all smiles as not only did we sleep well, we also ate like kings and queens. Beautiful lobby and restaurant as well as outside facade. Definitely recommend staying here when visiting the Blarney Castle.

28/03/2024: I've heard a lot of talk about Jacobs on the Mall and after a recent dinner there with some friends and colleagues, I'm very happy to say that they're the talk of the town for a reason. This was probably the best dining experience I've had so far in Cork! The food was excellent, the portion sizes generous and the quality top-notch! Some of my colleagues are still raving about that dinner today! Also, I feel like I need to give a shout-out to the ambience. Too many restaurants in Cork feel small and cramped, so having a space that's spacious, with high ceilings, is a welcome change. The only fly in the ointment was that service came across as a bit rushed in the beginning, but that changed quickly and honestly, the overall experience was not really any worse because of it. It's an upscale place, with prices to match, but definitely worth the money!

03/04/2024: A lively buzzy pub with great friendly staff. Made us feel very welcome each visit. The food looked amazing and we'll definitely eat there next time. Great selection of drinks and very clean facilities.

04/04/2024: Enjoyed a lovely meal here. The service, food and atmosphere all made for a most enjoyable experience. The nibbles starter had amongst other dishes a really tasty hake dip also pleased to say the chicken was free range. Will return and would recommend to friends, etc.

03/04/2024: We had dinner for two at Jacques restaurant. It was absolutely excellent! We had asparagus and mushrooms as a starter, lamb and hake as a main, followed by chocolate and salted caramel tart and medjool as dessert. Every single course blew us away, really. The wines that were offered were excellent too. The servers was extremely professional friendly and personable. Terrific evening. Really recommend this restaurant!

03/04/2024: Fantastic experience. The food was outstanding. Plenty to offer on the menu. Drinks menu was great, particularly the themed tastings. (However, was a bit disappointed that beer came in bottles). Ambiance was lovely, not too formal, but this is a nice place. The service was great. Friendly, quick, and they knew what they were talking about. Fair amount of seating downstairs and up, but I would make a booking ahead of time. I enjoyed it and will be back.

28/02/2024: Went for a work lunch and it was incredible. Not a single person had a bad thing to say about any part of the meal. Everything was delicious, great portion sizes, staff were friendly and the place was so busy. Its been a while since I'd been there ( more of a 'treat' place) but the quality was consistent and wonderful. Highly recommend.

19/03/2024: We had booked for 3 people but only got towels for 2. At dinner we sat in a walk-through room that wasn't that nice and they couldn't move us around even though it looked like everything was free in another room... The service was OK but I would have expected better. The breakfast buffet was not recommended! The cheese was no longer good🫣 and the selection and quality did not correspond to a 4 star hotel. The elevator was the worst, it almost knocked me out 😅😱 the door just closes regardless of whether you're all the way in or not... If I hadn't jumped away quickly enough I would probably have broken something in the door... I was really hoping for more, I was too hyped by the pictures 🤷🏽‍♀️
