Market Lane in Cork

The restaurant is very well located. The food is good but good without anything remarkable and that will make you come back. Better to reserve because it fills up. We ordered a drink per person and an individual dish and it cost €22.5. What is a detail is that they serve you water without asking for it.

Had an excellent experience here on a work dinner for c.20 people. The waitress was truly exceptional, managing a slightly bullish group really well, never seeming flustered despite all of our odd requests and always keeping her sense of humour! I’m just sorry I’ve forgotten her name. Thanks for a great dinner

I was excited to try this place because of the reviews and recommendations but it didn't live up to the hype. I was there for a birthday dinner with friends. I was a bit surprised that they only had one vegan/vegetarian option. I expected more options or more flexible mains. Also the menu was a bit confusing and disorganised. I got the lentil cake dish. The lentil cakes were kinda dry and mushy somehow. I didn't enjoy them and they weren't anything special. The whole dish just wasn't as cohesive as I had hoped. I didn't finish the dish. My friends who ordered other things said the food was good, however, we all agreed it was overpriced. For dessert I got the apple cheesecake which was delicious and the portion was good. I reckon two people could share it as it was quite filling. Nice selection of drinks and cocktails. The staff was nice and helpful. The atmosphere is a lively restaurant full of people having a good time

Excellent food and great staff

I had to remove a star as the last visit was not on the same level as before. The duck was so heavily over marinated that it was hard to taste the duck in that marinate.

As always one of the best choices for lunch or dinner 🤍

It's very difficult to make a living running a restaurant in Ireland. I often feel I have to grade on a curve. Not great but I suppose they are doing their best. Not here, consistently good food, good drink and most importantly great service, and for reasonable prices given Irish costs. 90% of the time in Ireland you come out feeling that was a lot for what it was or the service is completely inexperienced to terrible. Not here, you can tell staff turnover is low and they treat people well. I've never had a bad meal. If I had guests coming to Cork I'd send them here. Again and again.

Had a great time there for dinner with my wife. Service was excellent, waiters name was Jack, I think. He was excellent. Will be back again.

The food was nice enough. I expected more judging by the reviews. It didn't have the wow factor for me. It's an ok place to stop if you want to grab a quick dinner but it's not memorable. Dinner was nice but very overpriced for what we got. The desserts weren't great. One of the waiters who served us was lovely, he was very friendly and accommodating. All in all the place was ok. Wasn't bad but wasn't the best I've ever eaten.

An elegant restaurant with a very good atmosphere in the center of Cork, 400 m from the English market. We had one (2) delicious fish stew and two pints of beer. 60 euros
