The best restaurants in Cork city council

17/02/2025: "Perfect taste is born of perfect balance". Being an aficionado of Asian cuisine - and more precisely, Japanese cuisine, this has been the most pleasant Japanese dinner of my life. Quick service - only around 30 minutes for 8 people. The food was fantastic, it makes me want to come back and try each one of the options. The sushi were all exquisite. Usually, in Japanese places, the food is sometimes too oily. But for Ichinanya Sushi and Noodles Bar, the only excess of oil, will be from my car, when I go back there. The staff is super friendly - The food is excellent - The atmosphere is great, a 6th star, if it was possible, would be way deserved. Oishii desu!

16/02/2025: Went for a Valentine's Dinner for Ramen and Dessert. The Tonkotsu Ramen was good but could do with more noodles (had plenty of broth left after eating the noodles) and more extras/ingredients, we got one with Braised Beef and that meat was really good, and one Chashu Pork and that meat was average, cut too thick and not enough 'melt in the mouth' unfortunately. We then waited about a half hour for the desserts, could literally see the cake that just needed to be cut and handed on a plate, even though the sit down area was only 3/4 full at most, the servers were focusing more on the takeaway orders out front, I think sit down customers should take priority, should not take this long to get cake, which both then tasted average as well unfortunately, perhaps the cheesecake lacked some sauce, and the rainbow cake just wasn't to our taste. Not a bad experience overall but nothing special either, overall 4/5 because the ramen was good although not the best we've had.

08/03/2025: Tuvimos un fantástico almuerzo familiar aquí durante la semana! Habíamos reservado para 8 pero 12 de nosotros aparecimos, como por accidente! El personal era excelente servicial y genial en todo. Muy buena comida a muy buenos precios sin duda volveremos.

03/02/2025: Delicious pizza with a lovely glass of malbec. We ate inside the pub which was kinda nicer than the beer garden. It was mental busy, but we got our pizza within 8 mins of ordering. We really enjoyed the music by the jazz trio. Superb value meal out in cork city!

02/02/2025: The pizza was great, but the service was a bit off. One of the guys taking orders seemed pretty rude—maybe he was just moody, or perhaps I misunderstood his accent, but he definitely came across as bossy.

25/02/2025: Went on a Friday night so waited a while for the food but it was really delicious and staff apologized for the wait. Chicken skewers and chicken kebab really nice, and the mango dacquiri cocktail!😍

18/02/2025: Went here for Valentine’s Day and birthday because the original restaurant we booked made an error on the booking so we was so lucky to go next door and was greeted by the beautiful Ashlee! She saved the day and her customer service skills was perfect! She was so kind and honest and made sure we picked foods we liked , recommended wines and the food was the best I’ve eaten! I highly recommend this place to everyone!! Staff10/10 food 10/10 Thank you for the best evening and we will definitely see you again x

11/02/2025: Simply the best place to dine out in Cork City. Excellent food, truly wonderful service and a convivial atmosphere that's second to none. Lots of excellent options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike - I've never had a bad meal in this little gem of a restaurant (and I've had many, many good ones !)

The staff were chatty and knowledgeable, atmosphere was welcoming but occasional and we licked every plate clean🤤 it was also excellent value, with a proper feed for two people, including small plates starters and sides, as well as two cocktails each

What a fantastic experience Everything we had was 10/10 The fish nuggets were amazing and the labneh tartlets were a beautiful palate cleanser The oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had - the granita and dill oil was something I’ve never had before and just tasted perfect! 2 items on the menu weren’t available but the waiter who was incredibly good at his job explained why and what they did have and we went with The Hake and Cod The cod with burre de Paris was amazing but the Hake with the miso butter sauce was probably the best fish dish I’ve ever eaten Desserts amazing - profiterole and white chocolate sorbet Highly recommend and willl return!! Cork needs more places like this
