14/04/2026: My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Golden Elephant this week.
Authentic, flavoursome, Thai cuisine, with very generous portions. Very pleasant ambience. I couldn't speak more highly of the friendly, attentive staff, who couldn't do enough for us.

03/04/2026: Had a fantastic experience at Kanok Thai! The food was absolutely excellent—full of flavour and clearly made with care. The portion sizes were very generous, which made it even better value for money. What really stood out was the staff: incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Even though they were about to close in 15 minutes, they still went out of their way to take our order and make sure we were looked after. Truly great service and a place I’d happily recommend! Must try foods: halo halo,turon and crispy pork menu!

03/03/2026: My partner and I have been coming here regularly and it never disappoints. The food is very reasonably priced and always super tasty. The staff are attentive, friendly, and create a welcoming atmosphere every time even if super busy.
Our special compliments go to the store manager, Jay. He consistently notices the small details that others might overlook and ensures that everything runs smoothly while maintaining a warm and organized environment. His attentiveness and natural leadership are clearly reflected in the team’s attitude.
What stands out most is his thoughtful and composed approach. He leads with confidence, fairness, and genuine care — qualities that are valuable. One can see that he takes pride in his work and sets high standards, not through pressure, but through example.
It’s truly refreshing to see such professionalism combined with authenticity. Jay is a real asset, and his dedication does not go unnoticed.

03/05/2026: I have bad experience yesterday
I bought Thai red curry & red Tom kha gai soup & I could not tell difference between them. Thai red curry did not felt like curry & consistency was almost wali to soup.
I most of the time eat here, but I was very disappointed with the curry standard.
Hope you take this recommendation & improve the curry consistency.

14/01/2024: Kubos closed towards the end of 2023 with zero notice to their loyal customers when they shut their doors - either in store, on social media, or online. They eventually put a sheet of A4 paper on their window to say that the establishment was undergoing refurbished and will be open again soon. Shocked to see its now gone and another generic taco chain has opened in its place. Horribly disappointing professionalism by the owner of Kubos on the run up to their exit from Douglas after all these years
26/11/2023: Worst grub in Douglas, honestly can’t understand how they’re still open for all these years, Thai food that doesn’t get justice, avoid

26/01/2025: Era una orden de Deliveroo. Tortitas de pato: las tortitas están crudas sin sugerencia de que necesiten cocción.
Las costillas de sal y pimienta están secas y exageradas.
Desperdicio total de dinero.

09/05/2025: At 65y , I have had many Chicken Curries, but, Asia Gourmet is the best.
My Husband had House Special in Oyster Sauce and the selection of perfect meat was unreal. Well done 👏
