The best restaurants in Cork city council

15/08/2026: Took my partner out on a date to the glass curtain which she was raving about for the past 2 years. So I went in with a very positive mindset. We got drinks to start and the rosé was very tasty. For starters I got the squid dish was very tasty and the foamy sauce was great. My partner got the stuffed cod and the portion size was no bigger than my index finger for 18 euro I felt it was very tight serving size. For the main in which they only do sharing platters we got the monkfish. At the cost of 85 euro and a side of fried potatoes for 6 euro. The monk fish was bland there was char marks on the fish but no real char flavour. The most flavourful item in the main course was the roast tomato’s and I will put my hands up saying the roast tomato’s were great. An overall ranking would be fine. But for a good 144 euro there are far better and tastier restaurants

14/08/2026: Absolutely wonderful experience at Glass Curtain in Cork. The food was delectable, the atmosphere was grand and beautifully welcoming, and the staff were exceptional - warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful. The Dover sole was a particular highlight - beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. And the level of care from the team really stood out: my partner’s mum had forgotten her glasses at home, and they even had reader glasses available for her. Such a small gesture, but it made such a difference and showed just how attentive they are to their guests. Beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere and outstanding service. A thoroughly memorable evening - highly recommended! ✨

09/07/2026: My partner and I went here recently enough. We will absolutely be back again! We got the pizza and wine deal for 55 euro! Incredible value and we really enjoyed the pizza! The wine was really good too!

04/07/2026: Absolutely the best pizza I have had in years! The crust was cooked to perfection. We had the sweet chili bacon 12 inch pizza - to die for!!! Best pizza in Ireland!!

21/07/2026: There were six of us for dinner. Four of us had their specialty spit-roast pork which was fabulous. One of us had the Pithivier and said it deserved a round of applause. All of us really enjoyed the meal and our server, Ash, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpfully adapted the menu to accommodate a dairy allergy. Staff were all friendly and professional. This place is popular. We went at 7.30 on a Monday evening and there were no free tables therfore woukd recommend booking ahead for dinner.

02/07/2026: My husband, 7 month old, my in-laws, and I recently stayed at Hayfield Manor for a short break of 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. The hotel made sure we had everything we needed for the baby, from the crib to a mini fridge in the room to storing our cooler ice packs downstairs. They also treated our baby as a guest rather than an inconvenience, which we appreciated so much, especially as first time parents traveling for the first time with our infant. We loved the rooms, the amenities, the grounds and gorgeous gardens, and notably: the food in the restaurant, which was incredible. We will surely be back.

16/06/2026: We love Hayfield Manor, everything was beautiful but the best part was the amazing service and blue bikes!

14/08/2026: We were treated very well, they were friendly and patient with our poor English, the food was delicious and arrived very quickly, the place was very comfortable, and the price was average for the local area, so we were very happy.

12/08/2026: Might be the best burger I have ever had, if you’re not stoping here you probably hate food.

02/08/2026: The food was good, the lamb was well-cooked, and the service was friendly. The wine list was average, but the beer selection was very limited—only two draft beers. They need to improve; they're in Ireland, after all. Prices are generally high, but this isn't unique to this restaurant. Finally, why do they allow vaping? The smoke is awful for those who are eating.

27/07/2026: I love this place, really high quality café. Lovely vibe, lovely selections, and really lovely staff. For a place that does so much - sweet and savoury treats, coffees, boba, cakes - it's amazing that they do each so very well. I try something different when I can and I'm always delighted, no matter what it is. I had a to-go coconut flat white yesterday yesterday and nearly went back just to thank them again, it was so perfect! Their coffee training is 👌. I'll be back soon for more coffee for sure. Thank you guys, you're obviously popular and busy but you're still consistently doing fantastic work!

23/07/2026: Great experience! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious. We were early in the evening heading to an event, so the early dinner menu (3 courses)worked great for us. It was a scorcher and bit hot but nothing they could do about that. Overall highly recommend!! Fish, chicken and duck all wonderful. Desserts too!

23/07/2026: Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The staff was unprofessional and not very attentive. The restrooms were extremely dirty, which left a very poor impression. The fish and chips were also very dry and lacked flavor.

15/07/2026: got this food on deliveroo yesterday around 7 or 8pm . the food was good but i got a tobiko nigiri and the roe tasted very weird nothing like ive had before and im a tobiko lover so this is unusual. thought nothing of it until i got home at around 10pm and started noticing a headache. thought nothing of it until it felt like my eyes were popping out of my skull and was getting terrible nausea. tried to rest it off but it wouldn't go away and i started throwing up from 1 am till 3 am. as an avid sushi lover that never gets sick somethings not quite right....

26/06/2026: Bagels were great, coffee was yummy and they were very kind to my 1 year old son and offered him toys while we had breakfast. We had a big order and they double checked it and it came out fast. We loved it!

17/06/2026: It was great to have a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, in Ireland! Delicious. We were very excited to try this Cafe and we were incredibly happy we did (even though we aren't Boston Red Socks fans) Everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend a visit here.

03/08/2026: We're lucked out--or manifested the perfect place. Our taxi driver dropped us off right in front of Umi Falafel and we spent about 60 secs searching online for a vegan lunch spot but abandoned that idea and decided to go inside Umi. So glad that we did! The food was amazing. Perfect falafel - flavorful and not dry. Melt in your mouth good. We had the Umi burger with falafel and babaganoudh and the Schwatma wrap and a side of stuffed vine leaves and baklava. All were perfectly prepared, delicious, filling, and vegan! The staff was exceedingly friendly and even let us use their hotspot. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.

02/08/2026: Amazing restaurant. The food feels like somebody sprinkled glitter onto your tastebuds. I was so excited to eat Lebanese cuisine, and it delivered. Our waitress was nice and she allowed us to eat in during takeout time. Though thankfully we finished before the shop closed. I’d highly recommend their Umi Burger. This restaurant also has a lot of Vegan options so if you’re Vegan you’d definitely enjoy this place too!
