We decided to stop in while waiting for our train. It's a lovely spot with lots of natural light and seating. The paintings are wonderful and the plants are gorgeous. The food and drinks were also quite good, and really that's what it's all about. We only got a single tart and a drink for each of us, but I wish I had the appetite to try more, it all just looks so good. The staff were great to talk to. I would definitely recommend if you need a nice spot to relax and have a cup.

This is a lovely gem of a cafe and an art gallery. The homemade cakes and pastries are amazing—-and not too sweet—and delicious. The goat cheese, tomato & pepper on ciabatta was tasty. And we enjoyed it all on a balcony with a splendid view of Cork! Inside, Ms. Magda, the proprietor, hosts art exhibits about every 6 weeks (and soon once a month!). We highly recommend this cafe and art gallery!

We came across The Hideout Cafe during our trip to Cork and am so glad we did! The cafe was so lovely with such a nice atmosphere, not to mention the absolutely lovely staff. The biggest bonus is that it’s a lovely dog friendly spot, we brought along our chihuahua who enjoyed some treats given by the staff. It really is such a lovely little spot.

The view, the service and the food were excellent!! So glad we made the trip and I wish I would have had a way to bring some of the art home safely as it was beautiful! Next time we are in Cork I will plan ahead! Make the trip the pistachio eclair alone it is worth it!

Absolutely love this place.
The smell of freshly ground beans of coffee, soft music, and the warm lighting with amazing view of Cork city.
A good cup of coffee tastes taste better when someone prepares it with care, and pairing it with a fresh slice of amazing cake.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place on the way to my bus stop, but it was exactly what I needed! The owner was so lovely to talk to, and it's obvious how much heart and soul is in this cafe. Delicious baked goods, wonderful coffee, and of course I have to mention the view. Be sure to stop by!
