Umi

Cork
03/08/2026: We're lucked out--or manifested the perfect place. Our taxi driver dropped us off right in front of Umi Falafel and we spent about 60 secs searching online for a vegan lunch spot but abandoned that idea and decided to go inside Umi. So glad that we did! The food was amazing. Perfect falafel - flavorful and not dry. Melt in your mouth good. We had the Umi burger with falafel and babaganoudh and the Schwatma wrap and a side of stuffed vine leaves and baklava. All were perfectly prepared, delicious, filling, and vegan! The staff was exceedingly friendly and even let us use their hotspot. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
02/08/2026: Amazing restaurant. The food feels like somebody sprinkled glitter onto your tastebuds. I was so excited to eat Lebanese cuisine, and it delivered. Our waitress was nice and she allowed us to eat in during takeout time. Though thankfully we finished before the shop closed. I’d highly recommend their Umi Burger. This restaurant also has a lot of Vegan options so if you’re Vegan you’d definitely enjoy this place too!

Cafe Spresso

Cork
17/06/2026: Delicious food with large portions at amazing prices, the French toast was heavenly and my buddy who eats like a horse could barely finish the small Irish breakfast. Coffee was perfect too!
01/06/2026: Called in today with a couple of friends for an Irish breakfast after running the Cork city half marathon. Have nothing but good words to say about this place. We were greeted by a lovely man who we had a great laugh with. Food was cooked & served by him in a timely manner and it was delicious. He had us all licking the plates clean! I cannot recommend enough!

The Kingsley

Cork
18/05/2026: Not too far from Cork city centre stands a beautiful hotel on the banks of the river. Rooms are of a good size, clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff are lovely, professional and pleasant, and they can only bested by the food served. Everything from the goats cheese tartlet through to the incredible beef mains was nothing short of exceptional. To top it all off, a trip to the spa, including the outdoor heated (really warm) swimming pool. Overall, a really pleasant experience, and worth every moment.
09/05/2026: Booked the Kingsley for our son's communion and I can't fault anything.. the staff were amazing and my son even got a communion card and dessert from the Kingsley for his big day.. will absolutely be booking with the Kingsley again. Fantastic day

Koto

Cork
15/07/2026: Awesome and authentic food, we can absolutely recommend the seafood dishes!
13/07/2026: Couldn't recommend this place enough. Our first visit but we will be back. The service was friendly, helpful and professional. The menu was varied and the food delicious 😋 We sat outside in the beautiful weather but still did not have to get the attention of the wait staff, they were so attentive. I can show you our mains but not our starters. We thought the starter was a little small initially but when you see the main, its perfect. We couldn’t finish our main and wished we brought it home. So so tasty, best wing we ever (starter) and the panko prawns were fabulous aswell. Recommend the Hoisin Duck and the Hoi An if you're into spicy. 😋😋⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bierhaus

Cork
02/08/2026: Fantastic pub with amazing selection of ales and beers 🍻 highly recommended 🙌🏻🫶🏻
01/08/2026: I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Bierhaus, situated on Pope's Quay in Cork. As an enthusiast of both local history and fine beverages, I found this establishment to be a remarkable addition to the city's vibrant hospitality scene. Established in 2006, it has clearly cemented its reputation as a premier destination for craft beer. The primary draw of The Bierhaus is, unequivocally, its extraordinary selection of libations. The sheer volume and variety are staggering, boasting over 220 beers. This includes an impressive 30 draught taps, with a commendable 24 rotating guest lines, alongside a cask option. It is a veritable haven for those seeking to explore beyond the standard offerings. The curation of the beer menu is exceptional. It provides a comprehensive representation of Irish craft brewing, featuring independent producers such as Kinnegar, The White Hag, and 9 White Deer. Furthermore, the international selection is robust, encompassing everything from established European classics like Budvar and Erdinger to cutting-edge craft brands and a strong showing of Belgian ales. For those with a penchant for other spirits, the back bar also houses a very decent whisky collection. What truly elevates the experience at The Bierhaus, however, is the standard of service. The staff are not merely servers but knowledgeable guides. Faced with such a vast array of choices, it would be easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, the personnel demonstrate a genuine passion for their product and an impressive ability to direct patrons towards a beer that will suit their specific palate. Their recommendations are thoughtful and precise, ensuring that every selection is a successful one. The atmosphere strikes a careful balance, operating as a dedicated beer specialist bar while remaining accessible to a more mainstream crowd. While the décor reflects a late-2000s US craft influence, with its long bar and brewery signage, the focus remains firmly on the quality of the beverages. It is a place conducive to both quiet appreciation of a complex stout and convivial conversation over a crisp pilsner. In conclusion, The Bierhaus offers a superlative experience for anyone with a serious interest in beer. The combination of an unparalleled selection and expert, attentive staff makes it an essential destination in Cork. I highly recommend a visit.

Muskerry Arms

Blarney
15/06/2026: Warm hospitality, fantastic food, great value, and a memorable local experience. We had a fantastic experience at Muskerry Arms Bar. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, creating the kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes a pub feel truly local. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the fish chowder and the Irish Stew, which was the chef’s special and genuinely outstanding. My wife had the burger that was loaded with bacon, cheese and excellent quality beef. All dishes were full of flavour, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub meal. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality. Our B&B host, Olwen, highly recommended the place, and she was absolutely right. It was also great to meet the owner and hear the history of the family behind the bar — a lovely personal touch that added even more character to the visit. Overall, Muskerry Arms Bar delivered excellent food, warm service, and a memorable sense of place. A spot well worth visiting.
10/06/2026: Our most disappointing meal during our two-week trip across Ireland. One of us ordered the soup of the day with a sandwich, while the rest had the beef stew with vegetables. Unfortunately, the food lacked the care and attention you hope for when dining out. The stew was underwhelming in flavor, and it was served with what appeared to be plain packaged white bread rather than something fresh or toasted. The soup & sandwich was good but nothing to write home about. The service was friendly and attentive, but we left disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Based on our experience, we would recommend eating elsewhere!

Rising Sons Brewery

Cork
20/07/2026: We've come a few times whenever we come to Cork as we've always had a pleasant experience, but after the carry on at the World Cup final, I think we'll find a new place to frequent. It is absolutely ridiculous that, because of their spineless staffs insistence of the bar getting closed up in time for 12, they set their horrible bouncer on the few people left in the bar and had him verbally harass and ultimately remove the gathered patrons - who would have happily continued paying - before they had gotten the chance to see the cup get raised. DON'T advertise a "World Cup" watch party and then push everyone out onto the street before they get to actually finish watching, ESPECIALLY when such a large amount of the people left were, from what I could tell, proud Spanish people excited to see their team raise the cup. He was so rude and standoffish for absolutely NO reason, and it would have cost everyone involved with a say nothing to let the bar stay open for five more minutes. Disgusting behaviour all around, to be honest.
20/07/2026: Shocking experience both times I've been here Today I went here because they advertised a "FIFA World Cup 2026" night on instagram To be fair, the atmosphere during the game was quite good. Spain won and they started playing music until the players were being given their medals. By then, the crowd had died down a bit, so there were maybe 15/20 people left in the pub to watch Spain lift the trophy. As the Spanish players were being handed their medals, the bouncer suddenly came over and told everyone to get out. One of the girls at the front told him that they were about to lift the trophy in a minute, but was responded to with "I don't care about the trophy, everyone needs to go now". The bouncer was also extremely rude to people during this situation. Everyone in the pub had to go across the road into Bodega for the trophy lift, who let us in after hearing about how this was handled. This was completely unprompted, to the point where the building was just filled with silence and confusion when we were told to get out. There was no commotion beforehand and people were not being loud. They kicked us all out at 23:45 so my only guess is that it was because the staff wanted to leave by midnight. Advertising a World Cup final night and kicking everyone out 2/3 minutes before the trophy lift is insanity. The only other time I've been here was when I went here for the Champions League semi-final 2026. As the game was meant to start, they had no remote to change the channel to show the game. The excuses they kept giving people in the pub kept changing ("We can't find it"/"It's out of batteries"). We ended up missing the entire first half of the game before deciding to just watch the match in the Woolshed instead If you are planning on watching a match in a pub, do not go here. This whole situation today was handled so badly it actually encouraged me to write my first ever review.
