Paladar in Cork

First time in Paladar last night. Couldn’t fault it. Great atmosphere, food was excellent, and brilliant service! The staff couldn’t have been nicer and you were never left wanting for anything. Can’t wait to return!

I’m not one to write reviews but I’ve started writing this review before I’ve even finished my meal! Hands down some of the best food I have ever tasted, the staff were second the none they went over and above to ensure we had the best experience; they were so attentive and helpful but also so happy. From what I understand it is a new menu and was still within its first few days but everything we ate and drank was incredible, without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have ever been too FULL STOP let alone just in Cork. Portion sizes were insane value for money they should be charging hundreds for the food and experience! Thank you to our servers you were amazing, Louise and Gustavo who waited our table were some of the best I think I’ve ever been served by they were fantastic 10/10. We will be back for sure.

The atmosphere was amazing. We got our food together with the desert, it was all so delicious. There were only two deserts on the menu, but by god, they were delicious!

Some of the best food and cocktails I've had in a long time. Decor was gorgeous from the beautiful tiles on the floor and behind the bar, the moroccan style lanterns and the "grecian urn" style header above the bar. Cocktails were perfect. Ordered a mojito first, nearly stuck to them for the night! Strong, sharp and loads of lovely mint! Not sickly like most! Also the metal reusable straw was a lovely touch. The pina la vida though was just what I never knew I wanted. Food was so different and so damn good. The camarones are under the sharing plates title but is basically a main, beautiful flavours in the sauce, loved the firm textured beans and a decent amount of prawns, delicious and my favourite of the two dishes I had. Second was the coxhinas, which were tasty but were in the shadow of those prawns! Crispy fried dough balls with a minced chicken in the centre, bit heavy textured after one or two so I'd probably get those as a sharing plate next time. Amazing staff, amazing memories and they just glide about the place. Basically not a bad thing to say about the place!

This was our second time at Paladar, having not had the chance to return since the opening weekend,and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted by wonderfully friendly and professional staff immediately, and I really appreciate the ethos of their booking policy and the fact they leave seats open for walk-ins also! The ambient lighting, the decor, and music is on point, and despite being a rather small premises, you don't feel overlooked or cramped at all. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious - it is a small but well executed menu with something for everyone. Our drinks were also really good. Again, the menu isn't overly large and intimidating, with a good range of classics and signatures alike. Overall it was a brilliant experience and remains one of my favourite cocktail bars in the country. Hats off to the staff; they're brilliant!

what a chance discovery. a magnificent place both at the bar and in the restaurant with special mention for the slow-cooked prime rib, melting like baby meat. Next time in Cork I will definitely go back.

I was so impressed . When I opened the menu I was doubting whether I chose the right place or not but honestly even though the menu is small everything in it was unbelievable . Highly recommend. From the mains to the cocktails to the desserts ❤️❤️
