A very enjoyable brunch in a very busy restaurant. Booking ESSENTIAL. Very interesting menu and very attentive helpful staff. There were a number of walk-ins while we were there and staff did a great job juggling everything to accommodate all. No easy parking nearby - be careful of areas that are managed by APCOA clampers. Best park in the Shopping centre car park and walk to the restaurant

On entering the 12 tables, we had a warm welcome, shown to our tables with a friendly smile, we had beautiful food and amazing coffee in a tranquil atmosphere

The Hideout Cafe

27/06/2026: Absolutely love this place. The smell of freshly ground beans of coffee, soft music, and the warm lighting with amazing view of Cork city. A good cup of coffee tastes taste better when someone prepares it with care, and pairing it with a fresh slice of amazing cake.
17/06/2026: Accidentally stumbled upon this place on the way to my bus stop, but it was exactly what I needed! The owner was so lovely to talk to, and it's obvious how much heart and soul is in this cafe. Delicious baked goods, wonderful coffee, and of course I have to mention the view. Be sure to stop by!

13/05/2026: Overall it was good and was surprised to find the restaurant packed at 530pm. The smoked goat cheese was delicious, punchy smoked goat cheese taste paired surprisingly well with a coconut polenta. The next highlight was the lamb rump - really grill well with such a difficult cut and quality of the lamb was good. I think the let down for me was the ribeye - it wasn’t bad but it’s not exceptionally good and the butter that was torched at the top didn’t do much of the trick.
