A lovely old pub in a great location. The weather was perfect, so we could sit outside and enjoy a beer. It was very crowded on Friday evening.

One of Cork's heritage pubs. An institution. Typical pub atmosphere and a great selection of beers. We were particularly impressed by the Beamish Stout! Important to know: they don't serve food, only drinks.

16/07/2026: Pub is lovely, nice decor and a lot of space. It can get very noisy and even if they close the canopy they still let people smoke so - despite some air circulation - you'll come home stinking of smoke. Despite having a beer garden in the back, the place is not ideal if you also have hayfever / asthma etc.
14/07/2026: Lively pub with a lovely atmosphere and a glass roof in the courtyard.

06/07/2026: What a fun local pub. Small and crowded as you would expect but that is part of the charm. All the patrons wanted to chat and the local quartet playing traditional songs made for a great experience
