09/04/2026: It was a wonderful experience—both the food and service are truly top-notch. I had a crispy chicken burger, and it was excellent: perfectly crispy on the outside with tender, juicy chicken inside. Such an awesome spot and definitely a must-visit. I’ll 100% be coming back again the next time I’m in Cork.

09/04/2026: Ordered online from their site. Went to collect it and got the food really quickly. Was trying to order from Justeat and collect , but got cheaper deals on their site. Go for the site 😉

05/04/2026: Arrived 12 minutes before the closing time at this location, the front doors were locked and all staff refused to let us enter via the restaurant doors or via the drive through and pulled the drive through doors closed. Absolutely shocking for this company.

11/02/2026: Last time I ate here was nice, tonight I returned to have a quick bite to eat he took my order at the counter price was ok. I told him that's for sit down. He said there's a price difference I said ok thinking maybe one or two euro. He started adding it up and I said no way. No wonder there was no one else eating in there talk about putting yourself out of business

26/03/2026: Went on a relatively quiet day, it was Thursday around 7pm. There were only 3/4 other tables and there was more than enough staff to go around however they were quite rude, and were very consumed by their own conversations instead of checking up on the customers. We ordered a burger and pitta and received just that with a piece of chicken between it- there was no salad, no sauce the chicken was dry and underwhelming. The pitta itself tasted almost stale. Its a shame since we always love coming to roosters but have noticed over the last year or so that they just try to get the food out instead of actually cooking something worth our money. Hope they can find a way to improve their quality since we have all noticed that roosters douglas has become significantly quiet compared to the last few years.

26/01/2026: I have to say, I am very disappointed before I got food from There and was good about the Year ago tonight I collected food from there and I swear to God dog food taste better than that burger disgusting had Bite gave the rest to my dog. My dog didn’t finish it beef people stay away from it wasting money and time.

07/03/2026: Some ridiculous way they treat customers here 19:30 Just got off a 4 1/2 hour bus and went to McDonald's to order a meal and use the bathroom,ordered my food and went to the bathroom, 30 seconds there had.just down and the security guard was banging on the door saying "was alright" "get out now" and "bathroom only for customers" showed him my receipt then he says I have to leave asked him why said "just following orders" gets them to rush my food out don't even think it was cooked properly and couldn't even sit down and eat the food I paid for

12/04/2026: Fast service but cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. Crew member just wiped table dirt onto the floor and walked away leaving it there. It was still there when we left 20 min later.

23/09/2025: Dinos douglas has gone to the bin! Ever since the Irish girl Sarah left the chipper, the food quality has been horrendous. The asian lady working at the store makes the worst food, it’s definitely not fresh and you could just tell that the fish, chicken and dips are stale. The quality that dinos has in other stores like Grange and Turners cross is nowhere near compared to the likes of the Douglas store. The food used to be nice but ever since the asian lady has been making the food, it has been unhygienic, dirty and will definitely give someone food poisoning. Douglas dinos is really really awful now and should be avoided at all costs.

03/03/2026: Owner, PLEASE Raise the Standard of your chips. There are very Few good chips in each portion. Many are burnt to a crisp, narrow and small. Then they are wrapped in big sheets of paper? Please take this as positive feedback Owner as it's unfair to us paying customers.

13/02/2026: First off, the fries reek of bad oil. The fried chicken is tasteless and way too gamy for a fried chicken. Moreover, the value to money is the worst. I spent 23 euros there, and threw most of it in the bin. I have been awfully disappointed by the halal food in Cork.. 🥲

07/04/2026: Terrible experience. Dirty. Lots of teenagers sitting on tables with their shoes on the table tops. Food was tepid at best with lukewarm tea. Never again

13/10/2025: I have been getting Apache (Burgerhut Hollyhill) for a good few years. When the food is good, it's really enjoyable. But the food isn't always good (particularly the chips), and as a consequence, I feel the need, to write a review, in the hope, it will encourage Apache, to make some improvements. When ordering chips from Apache, staff will often serve you chips, that have been lying in the tray, for God only knows how long, mixed in with some freshly cooked chips.. Can I ask Apache management, why serve customers, old cooked chips, mixed in with fresh cooked chips..???? Its a very mean act, and I have to throw these chips in the bin, as they are hard & horrible. Why mix old, hard, precooked chips, that have been lying in the tray, with fresh cooked chips, and then serve them to a customer..?? Customers, should only be served, FRESHLY COOKED CHIPS..!! Can I ask Apache management, why you don't automatically serve your pizza's box's, in a paper bag..? If a customer orders a pizza, they may have to walk for 15 or 20 minutes, to get home. Carrying the pizza box, with no bag, means the Pizza, will lose a lot of heat, and the pizza can be cold, when the customer gets home. Also why don't you automatically serve the donor box, and chicken spice box, in a paper bag..? Again, these food boxes, are cold, by the time a customer walks home. Also the donor & chicken spice box, can leak sauce, which can destroy a car seat (if the customer is driving home) The stout, middle aged, short haired lady, that works in Apache, gets a bad pain, if a customer asks for a bag, to put a pizza box in, or donor/chicken spice box into.. Can I ask Apache management, to please supply, proper fitting, paper bags, and to offer them to customers, who are being served food, served in a box. Its really frustrating, having to continuously ask staff, for a proper fitting paper bag, to carry pizzas and spice boxes home in. I must say, most of the staff, are very obliging, when you ask them for a bag, with the exception, of the stout, middle aged, short haired lady, who always seems, to always have an issue, and an excuse, when a customer asks for a bag. If Apache, could introduce a policy, of not serving old, precooked chips to customers, and sort out the issue of supplying customers, with proper fitting, brown paper bags, to customers ordering food in boxes, (Particularly the issue, the stout, middle aged, short haired lady has, of placing food boxes into a paper bag) I will come back and give an up to date review. 07/04/2026: Absolutely terrible service! All staff extremely slow. Very quiet but to wait for food took ages. Our food got cold till we get it. Kids meal without kids meal box which is very unsual.
