UCC is a fantastic place for a walk. It looks spectacular and feels completely different from most places. You can really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful place to visit : not often mentioned in city guide which is a pity because the park and the ancient buildings are very nice : either modern or ancient. Worth the 15 min walk from downtown along the Lee river.

We took the guided tour of the UCC, and it was beautiful and interesting. We saw places off-limits to the public, the magnificent and astonishing astronomical observatory, and learned various anecdotes and curiosities!

The old university building is stately, beautiful, and well-maintained; it's well worth a visit, as are the gardens and the campus.

The university is beautiful; you can stroll through the gardens and spend hours there if the weather is nice. There's no entrance fee, and during the week there are cafes open where you can have a drink and enjoy the surroundings.

29/08/2026: People are so nice over there! And the food is good. Really nice place to spend some time by the river.
18/08/2026: Absolutely adorable coffee shop right on the river. The coffee was excellent, I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. The atmosphere inside was adorable. I got my coffee to go, but I’d love to go back and sit inside for a while.
