Beautiful area around the main buildings

This is my Alma Mater and in many ways this makes me a little biased but the campus is one of the most pretty I have seen anywhere. Built on a hilly site, its undulating treed areas and gardens, not to mention the beautiful river walk along the south channel of the River Lee, make the University grounds exceptionally pretty. One grump I have is that the public are no longer welcomed into society events, a policy that I saw observed with pride, to the point where meetings were advertised publicly. The college is the poorer for it.

Situated in Cork city, UCC is among the top 10 best universities in Ireland. It's especially known for its vast greenery, making it one of the most greenest universities worldwide and the greenest in Ireland. It's vast greenery helps it to attract a considerable amount of tourists as well as students. My favourite part of UCC is the Quad, which includes the giant castle-like building that reminds me of Hogwarts in Harry Potter. As a student of UCC, I love the main campus of UCC as it is a lively area filled with many facilities such as a cafe, restaurant, library, study rooms and shops. I also like the positive social environment of the main campus where almost every day, student societies and clubs stands, and ice cream and food stands are set up for students. This is much needed for students such as myself, who really need that extra level of support and enjoyment at a time when we are very stressed with assignments and exams.
